Also survived by 13 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday 9 a.m. from the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, Inc., Michigan Avenue at Tenth Street and 9:30 a.m. from Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery. The family will be present 7·9 p.m. Wednesday and 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday.

    MRS. FLORENCE YOUNG
    NIAGARA FALLS - Mrs. Florence Young, 57, of 624 28th St., died in Memorial Medical Center Tuesday (April 17, 1973): after a brief illness. Mrs. Young was a native of this city. She was a member of the championship Dove's Candies women's softball team during the 1930. Mrs. Young was also a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and an active bingo worker. She was also a member of the Mother's Club. Her husband, Robert J. Young, predeceased her in February. She is survived by six sons, Robert L. Young of Germany; Michael Young of Rockwood, Mich.; John Young of Fairfax, William Young, David Young and James Young, all at home; five daughters, Mrs. Harold (Jean) Haseley, Mrs. John (Margaret) Galko, Sue Ellen Young, and Mrs. Michael (Mary Beth) Karbowski, all of this city, and Mrs. David (Kathleen) Winslow of Allentown, Pa.; a brother, Leonard Johnson of this city; her mother, Mrs. Katherine Johnson of this city; four sisters, Mrs. George (Ann) CruickShank, Mrs. Esther Cruickshank and Mrs. William (Dot) Barber, all of Florida, and Mrs. George (Dodie) Frost. of Youngstown. Thirteen grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held at the Otto Redanz Funeral Home Friday at 9 a.m. and at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.

    Jean C. Haseley, age 82 of the Town of Lewiston, NY, was called peacefully to her heavenly home on July 27, 2020, surrounded by her loving family, at her residence. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on April 28, 1938; daughter of the late Robert and Florence (Johnson) Young.
    Jean was an active member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Harold N. Haseley. They were married March 6, 1958, and both enjoyed photography and antiques. Jean was an avid shopper and finder of the best deals ever. Being surrounded by family was pure joy for Jean, making each child feel like they were the favorite, and she was loved by all.
    Other survivors include four children, Catherine (Thomas) Sutton, Robert (Debra) Haseley, Melinda (Louis) Fazzolari, and Karen (Catherine) Cuddahee; grandchildren, Steven, Jonathan, Anthony, Shawn, Jason, Sara, Amanda, Daniel, Katelyn, and Jordan; great-grandchildren, Victoria, Vito, Gracie, Jack, Josephine, Sophia, Joshua, Scarlet, and Mila; and several brothers and sisters, Michael (Fran) Young, David (MaryPat) Young, Kathleen (Larry) Posey, William Young, Sue Ellen (Ted) Brigham, and Margaret Galko.
    Also predeceased by a grandson, baby Louie Jr.; and several brothers and sisters, James, Robert, Mary Beth, John, and Anne Young.
    Visitation will take place on Monday, August 3, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 6167 Walmore Road, in Wheatfield, in the meeting room. Services will follow visitation in the church at 1:00 p.m. A graveside committal will follow the service. Arrangements were with the DuBois Funeral Home.

    Mrs. Trane Dies at 19
    Mrs. Ann Mary Trane, of 1550 19th St. died after a short illness Wednesday (Jan. 17, 1962) in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital. She was 19.
    Her death resulted from complications arising from a chronic liver ailment.
    Mrs. Trane, a native of Niagara Falls, was employed for three years as a nurses' aide at the hospital.
    She was a member of the Cristofaro Colombo Society. Survivors include her husband, Frank Trane; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Young; five sisters, Mrs. Harold (Jean) Haseley, Miss Kathleen Young, Miss Margaret Young, Miss Mary Young and Miss Sue Ellen Young, and six brothers, Robert, Michael, John, David, James and William Young, all of this city. Funeral services will be held at 8:45 a.m. Saturday at the Magaddino (sic) Memorial Chapel and at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery

    John A. Young, 31, of Crown Point. N.Y., a former resident, died Thursday (Aug. 18. 1977) of injuries sustained in an explosion at his home on Aug. 4. Young was attempting to light his home water heater when the gas and tank exploded.
    He was born in this city the son of the late Robert J. and Florence (Johnson) Young. He attended local schools and graduated from Bishop Duffy High School. He also attended Niagara County Community College, and Castleton State College. He moved to Crown Point about two years ago.
    Young was very active in sports all his life. Here he played ball with the Little League team. and is believed to have been on the first basketball team formed at NCCC, where he held many sports records. the sixth leading scorer in the nation in basketball.
    He taught English at Crown Point Central School and also coached the girls softball learn and the junior varsity basketball team.
    He is survived by his wife, the former Gail Fuller; three children, Jay, Jody and Jill; five brothers, Robert Young, U.S. Army, West Point, Michael Young of Rockwood, Mich., William Young of Florida, David Young of this city, and James Young of Crown Point; five sisters: Mrs. Harold (Jean) Haseley, Mrs. John (Margaret) Galko, Mary Beth Young, all of this city, Mrs. Thomas (Sue Ellen) Greco of Fort Bliss. Tex., and Mrs. David (Kathleen) Winslow of Atlanta, Ga.
    Services were held in Crown Point.
    Memorials to Bishop Duffy High School Athletic Department will be accepted as tributes, the family said.

    August 26, 1947 - August 9, 2022

    Margaret “Peggy” (Young) Galko, lifetime resident of Niagara Falls, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, August 9, 2022. She was 74. She was born in Niagara Falls on August 26, 1947, a daughter of the late Robert and Florence (Johnson) Young. She attended Madonna High School then began her career as a civil servant at the Niagara Falls Airforce Base and ending that career as a legal assistant at the Small Business Administration. 
    While working at the Air Force Base, she met Second Lieutenant John Galko; they married in 1969 and remained happily married until his death in 2003. In the middle of her two government roles, she was a stay-at-home mom but also served as integral support for her husband's home electronics business. 
    She is survived by her three children: Anne Galko, Jason Galko and Jeffrey Galko; their spouses; and five grandchildren. As the seventh born in a family of twelve children, she has countless nieces and nephews to whom she was Aunt Peggy in addition to being loving sister to so many. 
    In her later career years, Margaret took on adventurous travel assignments with the SBA and made life-long friendships. She will be missed as a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandma, sister, aunt and friend! And of course, phenomenal storyteller and advice giver to all.  
    All are welcome to attend a funeral mass at Prince of Peace Church in Niagara Falls, Tuesday August 16 at 11:00. In honor of Margaret's proud, steadfast refusal to own a cellphone or have any internet access, there will be no streaming or additional information provided online.

    Louis Fazzolari Jr., 19 months old, of River Road, died Tuesday (May 31, 1988) in Buffalo Children's Hospital after an illness of six months. He born in Niagara Falls. He is survived by his parents, Louis and Melinda (Haseley) Fazzolari Sr. of Niagara Falls; a sister, Amanda J. Fazzolari at home; maternal and paternal grandparents; maternal great-grandfather; paternal great-grandmother; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 1 to 9 p.m. today at the Lane Funeral Home, 8622 Buffalo Ave. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the First Assembly of God Church, Hyde Park Boulevard and South Avenue. The Rev. Donald Matthews will conduct the services. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery on Pine Avenue. Contributions to the American Cancer Society or to Roswell Park Memorial Institute Pediatrics Department are acceptable as tributes.

    Of River Rd., in Children's Hospital Tuesday May 31, 1988. Son of Louis & Melinda (Haseley) Fazzolari, Sr. Brother of Amanda Jean Fazzolari at home. Grandson of Mr. & Mrs. Harold Haseley & Mr. & Mrs. Frank Fazzolari, Sr., all of this city. Great-grandson of Norman Haseley & Phyliss Fazzolari both of this city. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles & 1 cousin. Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 11 A.M. at the First Assembly Of God Church, Hyde Park & South Avenue with the Rev. Donald Matthews officiating. Burial in St. Josephs Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the LANE FUNERAL HOME, lnc., 8622 Buffalo Avenue.
