    PROEFROCK – Lydia Proefrock, 77, of Ward Rd., Town of Wheatfield, died in a Buffalo hospital Friday (Dec. 25, 1959) after a long illness. She is survived by her husband, August J. Proefrock; three sons, Ernest J., Albert A. and Howard G., all of the Town of Wheatfield; two daughters, Mrs. Paul Werth of the Town of Pendleton and Mrs. Robert Hardy of North Tonawanda; also surviving are six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home, 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd., where services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Rev. Loren J. Shiley will officiate. Interment in Acacia Park.

    Proefrock,- Albert A, Proefrock, 71, of North Tonawanda, suddenly Friday (September 16, 1983). A lifelong resident of North Tonawanda, he was a veteran of World War II and a former employee of National Grinding Wheel.

    He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Helen Hardy, and a brother, Ernest Proefrock, both of North Tonawanda anad several nieces and nephews. Brother of the late Howard Proefrock.

    Services were held this morning from the Fretthold Funeral Home, Inc., 1241 Oliver St., at Ward Rd., North Tonawanda, the Rev. Richard C. Luh officiated. Interment was held in Acacia Park Cemetery.

The former Helen Proefrock, 78, died Friday (July 14, 1995) in Schoellkopf Health Center. She was born in North Tonawanda and attended schools there. Mrs. Hardy attended St. Paul's Lutheran Church, where she was a Sunday school and confirmation class teacher. Her husband, Robert G., died in 1973. Survivors include three sons, Mark and Robert, both of North Tonawanda, and David of Florida; a daughter, Joan M. He was a former member of the former St. Paul Lutheran Church (E. Felton St.) He was a member of the St. Johnsburg Fire Co.; he loved gardening and bowling.

    Husband of Jean (nee Trinkwalder) Hardy. Father of Jill Mordick of Niagara Falls and Steven Hardy of Tonawanda. Grandfather of Pamela and Michael Mordick, Lucas, David and Joy Hardy. Brother of Joan (Bud) Scheller and David Hardy, both of North Tonawanda and Mark Hardy of the Town of Tonawanda; uncle of several nieces and nephews.

    Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home Inc., 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd., in North Tonawanda on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.     Beloved husband of Debbie (nee Dunn) Stawitzky. Father of Mike (Beth) Stawitzky and Kelley (Chris) Mazur. Grandfather of Brayden and Colbie Mazur. Brother of Diane (Al) Althoff and Jane (Dennis) Keitz. Son-in-law of Janet Skoczylas. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and cousins.
    Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home Inc., 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd. in North Tonawanda on Tuesday, November 24th from 4-8 PM. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2 PM from St. Mark Lutheran Church, 1135 Oliver St., North Tonawanda. The Rev. Keith Knupp will officiate. He was the beloved father of Caitlin (Richard Jimenez) Scheller and Mallory (Charles Pearce) Scheller and amazing grandfather and “SaSa” to his 4 grandchildren – Elizabeth “Liz” Shear, Richard “Bubby” Jimenez, and Charlotte and William “Wilby” Pearce. He is also survived by his sisters Laurie (Ted) Deverell, Jo-Ellen Laderer, and Chris (Fred) Stanley and his niece and nephew. Scott was a Retired Union Electrician for IBEW Local #237. In his spare time he enjoyed traveling and going to Walt Disney World, and spending time with his 2 daughters and 4 grandchildren. Donations can be made to Roswell Park Cancer Institute in lieu of flowers. Funeral services were held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by Wattengel Funeral Home.
