    GARDEI - Florence V. Gardei, age 78, of North Tonawanda, suddenly Tuesday, (August 19,1986) at DeGraff Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Gardei was a member of St. Martin Lutheran Church and the Women of the Church. She was the wife of the
    late, George Dewey Gardei. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Betty J. Mc Aninch of North Tonawanda and Mrs. Robert (Barbara) Alt of Warren, Michigan;
    a son, George (Dorothy) Gardei of North Tonawanda; thirteen grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren; a brother, Leonard (Evelyn) Riegle of Bergholz; she was the sister of the late, Hazel Donner and Violet Gardei. She is also survived by several nieces andnephews. Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home Inc., 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd. in North Tonawanda, today 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held from the funeral home Thursday at 1 p.m. the Rev. Jack Moore will officiate. Interment Elmlawn Cemetery. If so desired memorials may be made to St. Martin Lutheran Church or Hope Education Center, Livermore, California.

Betty was a former teacher's aide at St. Paul Lutheran School in North Tonawanda and was a life-long member of St. Martin Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School for over 30 years. She was the wife of the late Richard McAninch. Beloved mother of Linda McAninch, Barbara (Mark) Prohaska, David McAninch, Rick (Giny) McAninch and Thomas McAninich. Grandmother of Jonathan (Brooke) Prohaska, Jennifer Prohaska, Heather Prohaska, Joseph Prohaska, Sean McAninich, Katherine McAninich, and Timothy McAninich. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday, March 17th, at 11 AM, from St. Martin Lutheran Church, 322 Old Falls Blvd., North Tonawanda, with a luncheon to follow.
