STRUCK BY CAR, FARMER KILLED NEAR THIS CITY
Arthur Wendt Suffers Fatal Injuries; Dies Before Hospital Is Reached.
Hit by an automobile while walking along the Saunders Settlement road at 9:45 p. m. yesterday, Arthur Wendt, farmer, 42 years old, was fatally injured. The automobile was driven by G. M. Krick, 1722 Whitney avenue. Krick told Coroner W. L. Draper, who investigated the accident, that he was driving west and that the glare from headlights of a car approaching in the opposite direction prevented him from seeing Wendt.
Wendt suffered fractures of the neck; skull, both legs and left arm. He was taken to Memorial hospital, but was dead when he arrived there. Wendt was married and leaves a wife and six children. He had lived practically all his life on the Saunders Settlement road, about midway between this city and Sanborn. Krick was not held after he had made his statement to Coroner Draper and Undersheriff Cowdrick.

Mrs. Laura Haseley
PENDLETON - Mrs. Laura Haseley, 81, of 4196 Lockport Rd., died Friday (Feb. 25, 1977) in Buffalo General Hospital after a long illness.
She was a native of the Town of Lewiston, and resided here for 57 years. She was a member of St. Peter's American Lutheran Church Women.
She was the wife of the late Louis F. Haseley who died in 1973. She is survived by two sons, Gordon of Lockport and the Rev. Louis C. Haseley of Valley Stream, N.Y.; four daughters, Lydia Haseley of Lockport, Mrs. Ihsan (Mildred) Hijazi of Beirut, Lebanon, Mabel Haseley of Chicago and Mrs. Wayne Ruth) Berger of Washington, D.C., and 16 grandchildren.
She was the mother of the late Arnold Haseley.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Walmore, with the Rev. Paul F. Wittenberg officiating.

Hugo Walck, town civic leader, dies
WHEATFIELD - Hugo A. Walck, 88, of 2440 Lockport Road, died unexpectedly today (June 19, 1973) shortly after admission to Memorial Medical Center.
A lifelong resident of Wheatfield, he was born on his father's farm, adjacent to his residence. He was a farmer for over 65 years.
He was a justice of the peace for 20 years, a former director of the Niagara County Farm Bureau, active in the Town of Wheatfield government and a member of the Wheatfield School Board for over 20 years.
He was also a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Walmore, and the Police Chiefs and Judges Association.
Survivors include his wife, Ella L.; two sons, Harold A. Walck, of the Town of Tonawanda and Hugo C. Walck of Sanborn; two daughters, Mrs. Arnold (Florence) Stoelting and Mrs. Wilmer (Hilda) Wurl, both of Bergholtz; one sister, Mrs. Esther Lang (sic) of Walmore, eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Harvey Walck, and a daughter, Mrs. Edwin (Lydia) Ferchen.

A native of Wheatfield, Pfohl was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Walmore, where he had served on various committees and as president, elder and trustee. He worked for 10 years at the former Sales Book County, now Moore Business Forms, and then for 32 years as a stationary engineer at the Nabisco plant in Niagara Falls until he retired in 1974. Pfohl was a member of the Sanbornites Senior Citizens. His wife, Anna Mueller Pfohl, died in 1984. Survivors include two sons, Lawrence of Sanborn and Walter of Pendleton; a brother, Wallace of Wheatfield; a sister, Erna Stenzel of North Tonawanda; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Wallace "Wally" Pfohl, 82, who operated the family farm on Lockport Road and worked on it even after his retirement, died Thursday (Oct. 5, 2000) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after a brief illness.
He was a lifelong resident of Wheatfield.
Pfohl was a member of the Agricultural Stabilization Conservation Service, Niagara County Farm Bureau, and had served on the Agricultural Districting Advisory Committee. In addition, he was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, where he served as trustee and on various project committees.
He played trumpet with bands, including the Bergholz German Band, with whom he traveled with to Europe, Canada and through the U.S.
Pfohl enjoyed cars, and often was seen driving his 1948 General Motors Corporation truck around town, as well as in parades.
His wife, the former Edna Schimschack, died in 1993.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol Walck; a foster son, Harry Dickenson; a sister, Erna Stenzel of North Tonawanda; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 A.M. Monday in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore Road. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery

He was born in Lewiston and attended St. Peter's Lutheran School.
Wendt worked as a laborer at Remington Rand from 1938 to 1949, then was a truck driver at Sanborn Milling from 1949 to 1977 and drove trucks for Voss Manufacturing from 1977 to 1990.
He was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, where he held various positions, including trustee and elder. He also was a member of the church's Cemetery Committee.
Wendt was an exempt member of the Sanborn Fire Company, serving in an active capacity for 25 years.
He enjoyed hunting and traveling.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, the former A. Elise Goltz; a son, Daniel of North Tonawanda; four daughters, Suzanne Galganski of Alexander, Janet of Amherst, Ruby Mangan of Spencerport and Gail Wurl of Lockport; two brothers, Reinert of St. Augustine, Fla., and Herbert of Avon Park, Fla.; two sisters, Violet Cvetan of Lebanon, Pa., and Minnie DuBois of Niagara Falls; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Born Violet Wendt in Lewiston, she attended Lutheran schools in Wheatfield and North Tonawanda High School.
She worked for a short time as a clerk in the Jenss Department Store on Main Street.
Mrs. Cvetan was an active member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was a member of its St. Mary's Circle, the Forty-Niners Club, the Home Bureau and Meals on Wheels.
She and her husband of 65 years, Robert, enjoyed camping and traveling.

NIAGARA FALLS — Minnie L. DuBois (Wendt), age 89, of Niagara Falls, was called to her heavenly home, peacefully, on Thursday, October 20, 2011 to be with our Lord and Savior, at her residence, with her loving family by her bedside and under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on August 12, 1922 to the late Arthur and Minnie (Haseley) Wendt. She was employed at the former International Paper Company in Niagara Falls for several years. Minnie was united in marriage to Walter E. DuBois on July 10, 1943, and they were married 65 years when Walter entered into rest on March 25, 2009. In 1944 she was stricken with polio and with everything she endured, she held on to her strong faith in God and was a loving and devoted wife and mother, raising three children. Minnie was a member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, in Bergholz, enjoyed making crafts, playing cards and dominoes, cooking, baking and spending time with her family and friends. She was also predeceased by a sister, Violet Cvetan and three brothers, Ervin, Reinert and Arthur Wendt.

Survivors include her three children, Karen (Frederick) Goltz of Niagara Falls, Robert DuBois of Bergholz and Curtis (Kathy) DuBois of Niagara Falls; a brother, Herbert (Leaner) Wendt of Avon Park, FL; nine grandchildren, Hao, Tim, Heather, Thao, April, Marci, Julie, Bill and Paul; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road (Bergholz), in Wheatfield, on Saturday from 4-8 PM and Sunday noon- 2 PM. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Philip N. PENDLETON - Former Niagara County Legislator and Town Justice Gordon L. Haseley, a dairy farmer and lifelong Pendleton resident, died Tuesday in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center after a long illness. He was 83.
Mr. Haseley was a self-employed dairy farmer on the family's 200-acre Lockport Road farm until the early 1970s. He also was a life-fire-casualty insurance agent, stock broker, certified state nurseryman and landscaper. He served on the boards of the Dairy Council of Western New York, the Niagara County Milk Producers, the state Fish and Wildlife Management Service and the Sea Grant Lake Ontario advisory council.
He also was active in local civic affairs. He was founding chairman of the first Town of Pendleton Planning Board, served on the Pendleton Town Board in 1960, and as town justice from the late 1950s until 1970. He was a Niagara County legislator from 1970 to 1976, and a member of the Starpoint School Board for a decade after his legislative service.
Mr. Haseley was a member of St. Martin Lutheran Church in North Tonawanda, where he had served as treasurer, trustee and elder. He was a member of the New York State Magistrates Association, Tonawanda Sportsmans Club, Lions Club, and the Farm Bureau. He was a charter member of the Shawnee Volunteer Fire Company, and a member of NASDAQ and the 4-H.
"After he got out of dairy farming, he did his stone mason work, but I think he was really [most] proud of being on the Sea Grant board," said his daughter, Holly O'Connor. He helped Sea Grant with development strategies and environmental issues along Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence Seaway, O'Connor said. She said her father also enjoyed being a town justice.
His hobbies included fishing, hunting, woodworking and gardening.
His first wife, of 19 years, the former Helen Thiele, died in 1968. Surviving are his wife of 31 years, the former Alice R. Widzinski; six children, Peter of Germany, Holly O'Connor of Chicago, Nancy Haseley of Las Vegas, Thaddeus M. Piechalak of Cheektowaga, Paul Piechalak of Buffalo and Gary Piechalak of Lancaster; a brother, Louis of Holiday, Fla.; two sisters, Mildred Hijazi of Carlsbad, Calif., and Ruth Berger of Annapolis, MD.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Ex-Lockport Man Dies In Coast Crash
LOCKPORT - A former Lockport man was killed in an automobile accident Sunday (Feb. 14, 1965) while returning to his home in Corvallis, Ore., after a weekend drill with the Air Force Reserve at Portland, Ore. He was Capt. Arnold F. Haseley, 33, an associate professor at Oregon State University, while he was studying for his doctor's degree. He was a graduate of Purdue University, Mr. Haseley attended Lockport High School and graduated from North Tonawanda High School. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Corvallis, and was Sunday school superintendent.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Dana Alexander Haseley, and three children, Debra, Randall and Kristen Haseley, all of Corvallis; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis S. Rites Set For Victim Of Crash
NORTH TONAWANDA- Full military honors will be accorded to Capt. Arnold F. Haseley, 33, of Corvallis, Ore., formerly of Lockport Road, Town of Pendleton, who was fatally injured in an auto accident Sunday night near Salem, Ore.
The family and friend's will gather at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Martin's Lutheran Church, Old Falls Boulevard, for a procession to White Chapel Memorial Park for burial. Rev. Luther Knauff, pastor of St. Martin's Church, will conduct a prayer service.
Participating in the military rites will be members of the 4621st Support Group, Niagara Falls Air Force Base. Capt. Haseley was a member of the Air Force Reserve in Oregon and was an instructor at Oregon State University.

(nee Walck) Jagow-Wurl, age 94, of North Tonawanda, formerly of Bergholz, was called peacefully to her heavenly home on May 19, 2012 at the Northgate Health Care Facility, under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in the Town of Wheatfield, NY, on October 21, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Hugo A. and Ella (Haseley) Walck. Hilda was self employed as a Beautician, operating the former Bergholz Beauty Shop, for 35 years. She was an active member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, the Altar Guild, Lutheran Women's Missionary League, and a Sunday School teacher. Hilda was predeceased by her first husband, Walter F. Jagow, in 1949 and her second husband, Wilmer E. Wurl, in 1987; also three brothers and two sisters. He also enjoyed woodworking and fine furniture. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Brenda W. (Joel) Jaffe of Wheatfield and Mrs. Linda J. (Michael) Rozyczko of Niagara Falls; a sister, Mrs. Hilda Wurl of Bergholz; a grandson, Michael Rozyczko; and several nieces and nephews. 11-year-old Walmore Child Passes after Illness from Leg Infection. Harvey Walck, 11 years old, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Walck, Walmore, died Saturday in the children's hospital, Buffalo, after an illness of three weeks which developed from an infection in his leg. Funeral services will be held in the home of his parents tomorrow afternoon at 1:30 o'clock and in St. Peter's church, Walmore, at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in the Walmore cemetery. She was born Agnes Walck in Wheatfield and was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday school and was a member of the Lutheran Church Women's Circle.
She was a teacher's aide at Spruce Elementary School for several years and volunteered at DeGraff Memorial Hospital.
Her first husband, Lawrence Donner, died in 1979.
Survivors include her husband of 18 years, Alfons; a daughter, Becky Parnell of Port Richey, Fla.; two stepdaughters, Sharon Comstock of Wichita, Kan., and Christine Pasek of the City of Tonawanda; a brother, the Rev. Bernhard "Bernie" Emil Walck, 87, born April 14, 1922 in Wheatfield, NY to Emil Frederick Walck and Esther Natalie Beutel, passed away July 11, 2009 in the care of his family members at his daughter, Sharon's home in Green Cove Springs, FL. He grew up in the Niagara Falls area. He graduated from Capital University and Trinity Seminary in Columbus, OH. Bernhard served churches in the New York, Ontario, Canada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Montana and California. During his stay in Montana, he also served as civilian chaplain to the United States Air Force radar base at Opheim, MT. Bernhard was married to Florence Evelyn Pepper in 1943. This union lasted for fifty two years. Four children were born to this union, Sharon, Cassandra, Deborah and Rebekah. Since his retirement, Bernhard has been a volunteer chaplain at the hospital in Orange Park, Florida, Homewood Village in The Villages and served as "Elder of Heart" at Leesburg Assembly of God. During his stay in Florida, Bernhard renewed his acquaintance with a former parishioner, Allie Taylor Coombes. This led to their marriage on April, 19, 1998 at the Leesburg First Assembly of God where they held their membership for years. Norman A. Walck, retired water superintendent of the Town of Wheatfield, died Tuesday (July 18, 2000) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after a brief illness. He was 77.
He retired in 1988 after 34 years with the Town of Wheatfield.
A World War II veteran of the Army Air Forces, Walck was a past commander of American Legion Post 1451 in Wheatfield.
He also had served as president of the Wheatfield Business Association and as secretary of the American Waterworks Association, and was on the board of the former Bergholz Fire Insurance Co.
Walck was an exempt member of the Sanborn Fire Company.
He enjoyed fishing.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, the former Audrey Mueller; a son, Robert of Chicago; a daughter, Cheryl Hayes of Lockport; two sisters, Helen Waldkoetter of North Tonawanda and Doris Toellner of Michigan; a brother, Melvin of Michigan; and three grandchildren.

WHEATFlELD - Chester E. Walck, 65, of Hoover Road, died Saturday. (Dec. 5, 1992) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston. He was born in Wheatfield on Dec. 22, 1926, the son of August and Eleanor Walck. He was a lifelong resident of Wheatfield and a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church on Walmore Road, where he also was a past trustee.
Walck worked, at the Harrison Radiator Division of General Motors in Lockport for 34 years, retiring in 1989. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Wheatfield Republican Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and family life.

Helen W. Waldkoetter (Gath) (nee Walck) of North Tonawanda, was taken by Jesus to her Heavenly home on December 2, 2008 while in Niagara Hospice House, after a 12 year courageous battle with cancer. Helen was a graduate of the Buffalo General School of Nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse in the Obstetrics Unit at DeGraff Memorial Hospital until the early 1970’s. In the early 1980’s she began a career as a much loved tour escort in the travel industry as a co-founder of, The Way to Go Tours. She was a very active and devoted member of St. Mark Lutheran Church and for many years she worked for the Niagara County Board of Elections. She was the daughter of the late August and Eleaner Walck and was the wife of the late Irving Gath. William G. Lange, age 94 of Wheatfield, NY, was called to his heavenly home on November 16, 2019 at Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, NY. Born in the Walmore area of Niagara County, NY, he was the son of the late William F. and Esther (Walck) Lange. Bill graduated from St. Peter's Lutheran School in Walmore, Trott Vocational High School in Niagara Falls, and Valparaiso Technical Institute in Indiana, where he received a degree in electrical engineering. Bill began work at Colonial Radio in Buffalo, NY, followed by employment at Bell Aerospace Textron in Wheatfield, for 40 years as an electrical engineer, and he designed the microgravity accelerometer. After retirement at Bell, he became president of Canopus Products in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he worked for five years developing the microgravity accelerometer used on the Space Shuttle, and the International Space Station. Later, Bill served as a consultant to Spectrum Astro in Gilbert, Arizona for several years. He was inducted into the Niagara Frontier Aviation and Space Hall of Fame in May 2012. After retirement, Bill enjoyed building and flying radio controlled airplanes, with his son David. He also collected models of military planes, enjoyed reading history novels, watching the History Channel, and cheering for the Pirates and Steelers.
Bill was a lifelong member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Walmore, and served his church as Sunday School Superintendent, Recording Secretary, Treasurer, Elder, and Co-Chairman of the church's new entrance building committee.
Bill married Shirley Walck in 1949, and she preceded him in death in March 1989. They were blessed with four children, Kathleen (Rev. David) Beutel, David (Barbara) Lange, Steven (Sandra) Lange, and Brian (Leslie) Lange. Survivors also include his wife, Nancy I. (Mueller-Baum) Lange; ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Alice Lange.
He was also preceeded in death by an infant son, Bradley; a brother, Norbert, and two sisters, Gertrude (Elwood) Krull, and Eleanore (Norman) Moll.
Visitation will take place in St. Peter's Ev. TOWN OF WHEATFIELD — Norbert G. Lange, 78, a lifelong resident of the Town of Wheatfield, was called to his heavenly home, after a brief illness, on December 16, 2010. He was born on June 5, 1932 to William and Esther Lange.

Norbert graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1950 and the University of Buffalo, School of Engineering, later earning his Professional Engineering License. He started his professional career at Stauffer Chemical and continued at Occidental Petroleum and at Wendel Engineering, where he was a principal. He was also a part-time engineering professor at NCCC.

He was awarded two patents by the United States Patent Office while employed by Occidental. Norbert never retired and continued the love for his profession as construction manager of Calspan, Niagara Falls Airport, Adams Fire Company Hall No. 2, Wheatfield and the WNY Breast Health Center, Amherst. He also built several private hangars at the Niagara Falls Airport and had his private pilot license.

A lifelong member of St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Norbert served as past President and Sunday School teacher.

He is survived by his loving wife, Alice (Milleville) Lange of 58 years; four children, Keith (Wendy) Lange of the Town of Wheatfield, Marsha Dixson of Saline, MI, Karen (Merwan) Mereby of Denville, NJ and Gregory (Barbara) Lange of the Town of Wheatfield; two sisters, Eleanor Moll and Gertrude Krull, both of the Town of Wheatfield; a brother, William (Nancy) Lange of Grove City, PA; eight grandchildren, Scott (Denise), Jeffrey (Jaime) and Aaron (fiancee Joelle) Lange, Shawn and Deanna Dixson, Sarah and Stephen Mereby, Austin Lange; four great-grandchildren, Marissa, Matthew, Bridgette and Abigail Lange; several nieces and nephews.

He was employed as an electrician at Saint Gobain, in Niagara Falls, for approximately thirty years, retiring in 2007. Larry was a life long member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, where he had served as a trustee and elder. He was also a member of the American Legion in Sanborn. Larry enjoyed the outdoors and liked fishing in Lake Ontario and Quebec, Canada, and going deer hunting at his camp in Friendship, New York. He was born in Newark, NY, on April 17, 1958Harry was the foster son of his mother and father, the late Edna and Wallace Pfohl and was raised on their dairy farm in Niagara County. He is survived by a sister Carol (late Gilbert) Walck as well as a niece and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. He was a lifelong member of St Peter’s Lutheran Church where he often served as an usher and helped keep attendance records for both the church and Sunday school. He attended St. Peter’s Lutheran school and was a graduate of the Niagara Wheatfield class of 1977. After graduation, Harry had worked at various local businesses as well as helping on the family farm.Harry loved being a statistician for his Niagara Wheatfield sports teams and stayed in touch with many of the players and coaches. Harry enjoyed attending local sporting events and most Saturdays during the football season you would find him at the NW football field watching his Falcons. Being able to attend these events was made possible with the help of his good friend Brian Hapeman. Harry also enjoyed being a volunteer statistician and scorekeeper for the Lutheran Basketball League for over 45 years, it was his life.Harry often spoke about his love for music, especially German and Polka music. Harry had been a member of the Bergholz German Band and the American Legion Sikora Post Band of North Tonawanda where he played the drums for many years. Harry also took pride in participating in the Western New York Challenger Sports League’s bowling division which he attended for over 10 years.Service will be held on Tuesday (January 24) at 11:00 a.m. in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Leon was employed in management positions by several firms, most notably by Allied Chemical. He went on to form a successful tax preparation and insurance business. Leon was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, in North Tonawanda, enjoyed hunting, fishing, softball, was an automotive buff, and a fanatic basketball fan and coached several girls basketball teams. Survivors include two brothers, Roger (Carol) Wendt of North Tonawanda, and Gerald Wendt of Amherst. He was preceded in death by a brother, Noel Wendt.There will be a memorial service scheduled in January 2024, with the date and time to be announced. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, which many of her family will remember her by, with various items that were made over the years. Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, Richard C. Whitcomb, Sr. on November 2, 2013. They enjoyed many happy times together dancing, bowling, traveling, playing cards, time spent in Florida, and listening to music. She loved to cook and have the whole family over for dinners and gatherings. "Bunny" did enjoy her sweets, especially the marshmallow peeps and circus peanuts. Sharon was born on January 31, 1946 in Niagara Falls, NY, to Walter J. and Hilda E. (Walck) Jagow. She grew up in Bergholz and graduated from Niagara Wheatfield High School. She earned an Associates degree in Medical Secretarial Arts, from Concordia Lutheran College in Bronxville, NY. She married Thomas Montie on September 3, 1967. They spent half of their married life in the Cleveland, OH area, before moving back to Niagara County in 1997. Sharon worked as an office manager for several medical practices and financial offices, beginning in 1982, until the time of her death.She was a church musician since she was a teenager, playing the piano and organ, and often directing choirs and special ensembles. Most recently, she was the organist and choir director at St. Mark Lutheran Church in North Tonawanda, for over 20 years. She had a gift for leading people in worship. In her home, she was a faithful wife and mother.Survivors include her son, Timothy Montie; two daughters, Sara (Nathan) Hembree, and Carrie Montie; a brother, Charlie Jagow and sister-in-law, Marilyn Jagow; nine grandchildren, Aubrie, Michael, Bethany, Peter, Victor, Judah, Benjamin, Gloria, and Elijah; also sisters-in law, brothers-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. Clarice E. Becker of Sanborn, NY passed away on  Saturday, January 8, 2022, at her home under the loving care of her family and the wonderful nurses of Niagara Hospice.  She was born in Niagara Falls, NY on August 5, 1932, daughter of the late Edwin and Lydia [Walck]  Ferchen.

Clarice graduated from Niagara Falls High School. She was employed with the Niagara County Office for the Aging for many years before retiring.

Always known for taking the scenic route, Clarice enjoyed the journey as much as the destination.  If she wasn’t in her backyard gardening, Clarice was most likely visiting with the family she loved so much whether near or far.

Clarice was the wife of the late Wilfred W. "Bill"  Becker, who passed away in March of 2011. HEATHER JOY GOLTZ-DAY, age 40 of Niagara Falls, NY, entered into rest on February 4, 2021 at Sisters Of Charity Hospital, Buffalo, NY, and has been welcomed into her heavenly home to rejoice and be with our Lord and Savior. Born in Seoul, South Korea on July 17, 1980. She was adopted by her loving parents, Frederick L. and Karen J. (DuBois) Goltz of Niagara Falls, at the age of five. After her adolescent years, she earned a Bachelor's degree from Buffalo State College. After graduation, she was employed at the college. Heather married William J. Day on September 4, 2015, and they were blessed with a son, Banner Avery Day, and a daughter, Scarlett Mae Day. She was a dedicated wife and mother, and loved by many that knew her. Heather was a member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church in Bergholz. She was preceded in death by her father in 2014.Hobbies and interests included traveling, cooking, taking many photos of her two babies, hanging out with friends, attending softball games, and was a life long fan of the Buffalo Bills, Josh Allen, and a Yankees fan. Besides her husband, children, and mother, other survivors include three brothers, Tung (Hong) Ngo of Niagara Falls, Thao (Anh) Tran of San Jose, CA, and Hao (Lan) Phan of Seattle, WA; nieces and nephews, Sara and Emily Ngo, Joshua and Kayla Phan, Gracie and Henry Tran; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.Friends may call at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield, on Wednesday (February 10) from 3-7 p.m. Private services will be held with her family on another day, with the Rev. Denton White, officiating. Following the service, interment will take place in Holy Ghost Lutheran Cemetery, Wheatfield, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Niagara County SPCA.
