John Werth, 76 years old, a lifelong resident of the town of Wheatfield, died this morning at his home on the Bergholz road after a lingering illness. He is survived by a wife, Lena, two daughters, Mrs. August Stang and Mrs. William Werth of North Tonawanda, 14 grand children and one great grandchild, a brother, Christian Werth of North Tonawanda, and three sisters, Mrs. William Hoffmeister and Mrs. Christ Thompson of North Tonawanda and Mrs. Charles Kinzly of Buffalo. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the house, standard time, and half an hour later at the St. Jacob's church, Bergholz. Rev. John Grabau of Buffalo will conduct the services and interment will be in the St. Jacob's cemetery.

DONEGAN - Elsie C. Donegan, 75, Friday (March 23, 1973) in the Abbey Nursing Home, Town of Tonawanda after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Donegan was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, a Navy veteran of World War I, an employe of the Federal Reserve Bank, Buffalo for 41 years, retiring 10 years ago. She was the wife of the late Francis Donegan. Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Walter (Esther) Allard, Mrs. Emma Phillips and Mrs. Hulda Rader, all of North Tonawanda, and many nieces and nephews. Darla E. McCormick, 62, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on August 24, 2020 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Harold A. and Elaine L. (Wackett) Zimmerman.
Darla attended local schools and graduated from Niagara-Wheatfield High School.  On August 11, 2001, she married Kenneth E. McCormick in Niagara Falls, NY.  Darla was employed as a waitress at several local restaurants, including the Georgian House, Goose’s Roost and Bob Evans.  Most recently, she worked in Customer Service at Sam’s Club in Niagara Falls.   
Darla enjoyed shopping at department stores, cooking, gardening, and occasionally going to the casino.  She loved meeting and conversing with people, especially through her work.  Above all, she cherished time spent with her family.
In addition to her husband of 19 years, Darla is survived by her children, Shona E. McTigue and Melissa A. Myers; her grandchildren, Austin Edwards, Tyler McTigue, Isabella Cook, Alyssa Jakubczyk, Ashlyn Myers, and Abigail Myers; her siblings, Keith H. Zimmerman and Judy L. Zimmerman-Hertel, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was predeceased by her sister, Melody C. (late Michael) Salfi.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 28 from 10 – 1 PM at M.J.
