Ward road, in St. Johnsburg after a lingering illness. She was the wife of

NORTH TONAWANDA, July 9.-Mrs. Elizabeth Jagow, 79 years old, died today at her home, Lockport road, Walmore. Her death followed several paralytic strokes, the last of which she suffered three weeks ago.
Mrs. Jagow was born in Germany and came to this country when a child, with her parents. She had resided in the house where she died for the past 65 years. In former years she was active in church work at Walmore. She is survived by her husband, Frederick Jagow; three daughters, Mrs. Rudolph Ratzlaff (sic) and Miss Emma and Miss Elizabeth Jagow; four sons, Edward, Albert, Frederick, Jr., and John Jagow, and 13 grandchildren, all of Walmore, and two sisters, Mrs. Frederick Siegmann, of North Tonawanda, and Mrs. Frank Crego. of Lockport. Donald P. Siegmann, age 73 of the Town of Wheatfield, Niagara County, NY, died Sunday October 16, 2005, in Mount St. Mary's Hospital after a long illness.
He was a lifelong resident of the Town of Wheatfield, born on July 2, 1932, in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY, the son of William and Martha [ Jagow ] Siegmann, where he attended local schools. Donald served in the Korean War in the United States Army from November 18, 1952 to November 17, 1954.
He was employed as a construction laborer through Local 210 and had been employed by many local building contractors, including W. W. Kimmins & Sons of Kenmore, NY. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, a 50 year member of the St. Johnsburg Volunteer Fire Company and a 50 year member of the Wheatfield American Post # 1451.
Donald enjoyed farming and gardening and volunteering at the fire hall.
His family was very important to him, especially spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving is his wife of 47 years, the former Rosemary Hefferon; three sons: Douglas [ Theresa ] Siegmann; Thomas [ Susan ] Siegmann and Rodney [ Dawn ] Siegmann, all of Wheatfield; a daughter, Brenda [ Martin ] Perry of Niagara Falls; his twin brother, Richard [ Jean ] Siegmann of Wheatfield; a brother Harold [ Vivian ] Siegmann of North Tonawanda, Niagara County, NY; a sister, Clarice [ Richard ] Poerschke of Wheatfield; sister-in-law, Mae Siegmann; a cousin Roger Siegmann; and 7 grandchildren.

Lester K. Siegmann, 73, of Homeyer Road, a lifelong resident of Wheatfield and a veteran of World War II, died Sunday (Sept. 13, 1998) in DeGraff Skilled Nursing Facility, North Tonawanda.
Siegmann served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1946 and was employed at Staffen Trucking Co. for 39 years, retiring in 1987 as a foreman.
He was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church and a member of Wheatfield Post 1451, American Legion.
He was given a gold watch in February in observance of his 50 years of service to St. Johnsburg Fire Company, where he was an exempt member.
He enjoyed bowling and watching football games.
Survivors include his wife, the former Adelean Byrd; two sons, Larry of Wilson and Daniel; a brother, Roger of Sanborn; two grandsons; and five stepgrandsons.

Christian G. Schulmeister, 58, of 1459 Forbes St., a veteran of World War II, died unexpectedly Thursday (Feb. 3, 1972) in DeGraff Memorial Hospital.

Clarence H. “"Dutch"” Jagow, age 85, entered into rest on Friday January 23, 2004 at Mount St. Mary's Hospital, after a short illness. Born September 14, 1918 in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY, son of the late Edward N. and Elizabeth (Wienke) Jagow.
Mr. Jagow served as a Sargent in the Army Air Force enlisting in 1942 and was honorably discharged in 1945. Clarence served as a City of Niagara Falls Firefighter for 28 years, retiring in 1981. Mr. Jagow was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He enjoyed his family and friends, he especially enjoyed camping and fishing in the Finger Lakes.
Mr. Jagow was preceded in death by his brothers, Howard, Edward and Harold Jagow.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy (Schwenkbeck) Jagow, his children Beverly Parise of Niagara Falls, Barbara (Daniel) LaBernardo of Lewiston, and Richard (Rosalind) Jagow of Youngstown; a sister, Elinor Murtaugh. Clarence is also survived by his grandchildren, Danny and Kendra LaBernardo, Richard and Justin Jagow and many nieces and nephews.

Elinor D. (nee Jagow) Murtaugh, 95, formerly of 81st Street, passed from this life on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence, following a brief illness. Born on October 18, 1919 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth (Wienke) Jagow.

Mrs. Murtaugh was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY. Elinor attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. For 42 years, she was employed by the Carborundum Company. Mrs. Murtaugh was a longtime member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. Elinor enjoyed traveling and going to lunch with her friends. Above all, she loved spending time with her family.


Mrs. Murtaugh was predeceased by her husband, William Murtaugh on April 8, 1975 and four brothers, Howard, Edward, Clarence (Dorothy of Niagara Falls, NY) and Harold Jagow. Elinor is survived by nieces and nephews, Ronald (Linda) Jagow, James Jagow, Beverly (Joseph) Scalzo, Barbara (Daniel) LaBernardo, Robert Jagow, Richard (Rosalind) Jagow and Nancy (Donald) Olivero and many other nieces, nephews great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.

Jagow, 71, of Dana Drive died Thursday (Aug. 12, 1993) in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center after a long illness.
A native of Niagara Falls, Jagow worked at the former Bell Aircraft Co. and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He later worked at Carborundum in Wheatfield for 40 years and was associated with the former Varsity Sports Shop in Pine Plaza for 30 years.
Jagow was a charter member of the Lutheran Church of the Escarpment, where he was a former deacon, trustee and financial secretary. He was a member of the Protestant Church Men's Bowling League, the Retired Men's Golf League and the Carborundum Alumni Association.
Survivors include his wife, the former Betty Milotta; a brother, Clarence Jagow; and a sister, Elinor Murtaugh, both of Niagara Falls.

Mrs. Pfuhl retired from housekeeping with the Niagara-Wheatfield School District. She was a lifelong and active member of SI. Peter's Lutheran Church. She also was a member of the Sanbornite Senior Citizens. Mrs. Pfuhl enjoyed gardening, flowers and family life.
She was the widow of Albert N. Pfuhl, who died in 1975. They were married April 22, 1934. She is survived by a son, Herbert C. Pfuhl of Webster; a grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Clifford Pfuhl, and sister of the late Mildred Jagow and Herbert Jagow. She also was predeceased by a grandson.

She was an active, longtime member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church on Walmore Road, where she was baptized, confirmed and married, all by the same minister, the Rev. Edward Grabau. She belonged to the Women of the Church group.
Mrs. Walck also was a member of the Sanbornite Senior Citizens.
She and her husband, Irwin E., who died in 1966, operated the family farm together.

SANBORN - Ruth Amalie Emma (Retzlaff) Walck, 81, of Sanders Settlement Road, died May 7, 1996, at her residence.
She was born in Wheatfield on June 8, 1914, the daughter of Rudolph and Mary (Jagow) Retzlaff. A lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore, she was baptized June 21, 1914, confirmed April 1, 1928, and was married to Irwin E. Walck on Oct 3, 1937, all be the Rev. Edward Grabau at the church. Mr. Walck died Sept. 27, 1966.
An active church member, she belonged to the Women of the Church group. She was also a member of the Sanbornite Senior Citizens and did volunteer work at local nursing homes. Mrs. Walck enjoyed family life and gardening.
She and her husband operated the family farm and sold produce to the Niagara Falls City Market for several years.
She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Dzialak of Sanborn and Fay Poli of Pendleton; a son Glenn Walck of Sanborn; seven grandchildren and a great-grandson.
She was the sister off the late Lillian Walck.

Ruth Ruberto, age 85, passed away August 9, 2019 at Lockport Rehab & HCF. She was born November 16, 1933 to William and Genevieve Kirkman Crego and was a lifelong resident of Lockport NY.
She married Donald Ruberto at St. Mary's R.C. Church on September 7, 1957, he passed away February 18, 2007. She was a member of the Class of 1951 at Lockport High School and was co-chairperson of the class reunions committee and luncheons notifications. Ruth was a secretary in the Sales and Purchasing Departments at Harrison Radiator Div. from 1951 to 1968. She was a stay at home mom from 1969 when their first child was born, and son Jim was born in 1971, until 1986. At that time she became a substitute clerical worker for the Lockport City School District until 1996. She and Don enjoyed traveling to many American Legion and Marine Corps League conventions over the years, also with their daughter and son for week-long vacations for the past few years after Don retired. She was an avid reader, loved doing all kinds of needlework, emailing friends, going to Senaca Niagara Casino, flying to Atlantic City with her sister Carol. She was a faithful parishioner and volunteer at St. John's R.C. church in Lockport. She was a member of B. Leo Dolan Post 410 American Legion Auxiliary since 1960, also the Lockport Marine Corps League Auxiliary, member of the BPOE Elks #41. She bowled over 50 years in the Variety Girls Bowling League.
Ruth always considered herself blessed for having so many wonderful friends and family, especially those who came forward with so much support after the death of her husband. Loving wife of the late Donald Ruberto, she is survived by her beloved children, Laura(Richard Thompson) Ruberto, New Hartford(Utica), NY and James Ruberto Lakewood, CO. She was blessed with her first grandchild four months after Don passed away, Ella Rose, and Aaron James four years later. Sister of Carol (late Duane "Bud") Jones of Rochester NY; many nieces, nephews and cousins. LOCKPORT — Mary Jane Walker, of Lockport, New York, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2011 at Elderwood HCC in Liverpool, NY, after a long illness. She was born in Lockport, NY, on June 13, 1935 to the late William and Genevieve (Kirkman) Crego of Lockport. Mary Jane married the late Herbert E. Walker in December 1981.

She was a life long resident of Lockport. Mary Jane worked at Harrison Radiator for 22 years and retired in 1991. She was a member of the Navy Marine Club, Navy Auxiliary, and the Marine Corps Auxiliary. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her children and grandchildren. During her final years, her daughters, Kim and Kathy, had the privilege of caring for her during her battle with Alzheimer's Disease.

Surviving her are five daughters, Kim (Russell) Rosati of Syracuse, Kathy Degan of Brewerton, NY, Jacqueline Ulrich of North Carolina, Kelly (BJ) McNeil of New Hampshire and Sheila (Michael) McRae of Georgia; two sons, Thomas Degan of New Hampshire, and Michael Degan of New Hampshire; also surviving are two sisters, Carol Jones of Rochester and Ruth Ruberto of Lockport. Mary Jane has fifteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Frank, William, Roy; and her sister, Virginia Crego.

Friends may call on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Ross Funeral Home Gaul Chapel, 263 East Avenue, Lockport. Larry L Siegmann, 72 of Appleton entered into rest on Friday June 24th, 2022 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport. He was born on August 20th, 1949 in North Tonawanda, NY to the late Lester and Adelean Byrd Siegmann.
Larry worked for and retired from the New York State Parks and Recreation as the Manager/Supervisor at the Cave of the Winds at Niagara Falls State Park. He was a life member of the St. Johnsburg Fire Co. in North Tonawanda, He enjoyed hunting, fishing and working his land along side his loving pal Zeke.
Surviving are his sons; Mark (Brenda) Siegmann and Greg Siegmann (Karen Brown); his grandchildren Paige Parsons, Julia, Danielle, Allison, Leah and Sara Siegmann, soon to arrive any day is his great granddaughter Piper Glass. Also surviving is his loving pal, his dog Zeke, as well as numerous other family members and friends.

Jerry W. Toellner, age 70, of Ramah, NM, went to be with his Heavenly Father on April 18, 2014. He died peacefully at his Gilbert, AZ home surrounded by family. He was born on July 12, 1943 in North Tonawanda, NY, where he was a member of the Operating Engineers Union Local 463 and worked over 20 years for Haseley Trucking.
Jerry was also a 50-year member of the St. Johnsburg Volunteer Fire Department there. He moved to Arizona in 1986 where he started his own business J & J Excavating & Grading. Once retiring, he moved to Ramah, NM, where he built his dream home in the tall pines of Timberlake Ranch. He was active in the community and served as a member of the board of directors responsible for all road maintenance, repair and snow removal. His greatest love was his family and his hobbies included hunting, fishing and watching NASCAR. Jerry never knew a stranger, he talked to anyone and was loved by everyone.
Predeceased by his daughter, Michele. He is survived by his wife, Judy; daughters, Jill Pennington (Mike) and Stacy Smith-Mills (Mark); grandchildren, Shelby, Lacey, Dillon, Dalton, Ryan and Tyler; and sisters, Betty Brown and JoAnn Durick of North Tonawanda, NY.

LEWISTON — Paul G. Lemke, of Lewiston, NY, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at his residence, under the care of Niagara Hospice. He was born in the Town of Wheatfield on April 8, 1920, the son of Judge Frederick and Matilda Lemke.

Mr. Lemke was truly proud of his ancestry, place of birth and family. He served with the U.S. Army Air Force, with campaigns in air offensives in Europe, Ardennes, Central Europe, Egypt, Libya, Naples, Foggia, Northern France, Rhineland, Rome, Arno, Sicily, Tunisia, air combat Balkans.

After the service he was employed by Buffalo Bolt Co. for 17 years, leaving their employ to form Thruway Sales Co. and Thruway Fasteners, Inc., in July of 1959, where he continued as a consultant up until his death. The success of this company is history.

Mr. Lemke was Past Board Member and President of National Fasteners Distributors Association, past Director of National Wholesale Association, elected to the Fastener Hall of Fame in 1983. He served on the Board of Governors and was President of Niagara Falls Country Club, also a Board Member of Artpark and Council Niagara University.

Mr. Lemke was the husband of the late Lorraine (McIntyre) Lemke, who died in August of 1964.

He is survived by one daughter, Michele L. (Peter) Jenkins of Grand Island, NY; a daughter-in-law, Bonny Lemke; his companion, Jean Walker. He is also survived by five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Mr. Lemke was the father of the late Paul G. Lemke and brother of the late Alvin Lemke.

To a host of my friends and lovers, and especially my G.A.P., it has been a pleasure and I will save a place for you.

SHIRLEY J. (Krueger) ALLEN, age 95, went to her eternal home on November 17, 2020. She was born to Edward and Hazel Krueger on March 30, 1925. A graduate and life long resident of North Tonawanda, she went to work at Bell Aerospace during WWII followed by Wurlitzer Co, then Carborundum where she met and married Warren “Bud” Allen. Shirley also worked at her Dad’s store – Krueger’s Market – then Snackwagon and Sanborn Greenhouses. Shirley loved to travel and camp throughout North America, taking time to listen to songbirds serenading in the air, smelling the beautiful flowers, and admiring all of God’s creation. She belonged to many camping clubs, including NCHA, Ken-Ton-A-Wanderers, Coachman, and Winnebago. She also enjoyed an uplifting spiritual journey to the Holy Land. Shirley was the oldest lifelong member of St. Mark, being active in the Women’s Ministry, LWML, and the Quilters group. Her faith in the Lord was a role model for her 4 children and others alike. She loved to sing hymns, silly songs, and campfire favorites. In between travels, Shirley loved to watch her flowerbed gardens bloom all summer long and was a charter member of the Wheatfield Garden Club. She was also an active helper in Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts with her children, and helped 5 sons & grandsons achieve the rank of Eagle Scout. Shirley is survived by a son, Gilbert Allen, daughter Kathy (Laird) Burkett, and son-in-law Robert McCall. Also 6 Grandchildren – Jennifer (Jason) Gallo, Daniel (Xue) Allen, Laird “Josh” (Liz) Burkett, Larry (Amanda) Burkett, Matthew (Julie) McCall, and Todd McCall. And her Great Grandchildren, who brought her great joy – Ethan, Emma, and Ella Gallo. Shirley is predeceased by her husband Warren “Bud” Allen, two children Rick Allen and Cheryl McCall, a granddaughter Laura Burkett, and brother James (Carol) Krueger. Richard B. Jagow, 60, of Youngstown, NY passed away on Monday, May 9, 2016 at Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of Dorothy (Schwenkbeck) Jagow of Lewiston, and the late Clarence Jagow.

Richard attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. He later attended Ohio State University where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Richard has been a resident of Youngstown for the past 34 years. He was employed at Occidental Chemical Co. in Niagara Falls for seven years, and for the past twenty nine years he worked as a Process Supervisor at DuPont Chemical Co. in Tonawanda. Richard was a member of the Greater Niagara Falls Church of God. He was a passionate motorcyclist and member of the Harley Owners Group (HOG). Richard was an avid reader particularly of history. He also enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching Jeopardy, baking and cooking. Richard was a gifted handyman who could fix just about anything. He loved vacationing in Florida and spending time with his boxer dog, Beau. Most of all Richard will be remembered as kind, caring, warm hearted individual who was loved by all who knew him.

In addition to his mother, Richard is survived by his beloved wife of twenty six years Rosalind (Marangine) Jagow; four children, Richard Jagow, II, Justin (Jarrod Atkinson) Jagow, Diana Butinski and Salina Talla; two sisters, Barbara (Dan) Labernardo and Beverly (Joe) Scalzo as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be no prior visitation. A Celebration of Richard’s Life will be held at a later date to be announced. Entered into rest at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. Born in North Tonawanda, NY, son of the late Alvin and Roseanna (Ostwald) Lemke. A 1963 graduate of Niagara Wheatfield High School, he also attended NCCC. Roger was an Army veteran serving from 1964-1967. He was a construction supervisor with Niagara Mohawk, a former member of St. John Lutheran Church, Wheatfield, and was active with the Boy Scouts- Order of the Arrow, and was the founding president of the Red Jacket Club. Roger enjoyed fishing and camping at the family cabin. Survivors include his wife, Bonnie (Shaffer) Lemke (married December 14, 1973); three children, James Craven, Jewel (Brian) Smith and Jerry (Dana) Lemke all of North Tonawanda; a sister, Diane Brennan of The Villages, FL; and seven grandchildren, Shawn, Alyssa, Cassandra, Nicholas, Emily, Maya and Shelby. Visitation will be on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield. Services on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home, with Pastor Michael A. Keicher, officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Red Jacket Club, 1601 Sweeney Street, North Tonawanda, NY 14120.

NORTH TONAWANDA — Ricky E. Allen, 58, of North Tonawanda, went home to heaven to be with our Lord on May 29, 2012, after a lengthy illness. He was born on June 19, 1953 to Warren and Shirley (Krueger) Allen. Rick loved scouting and was the second person in Boy Scout Troop 833 to earn his Eagle Award. He went on to serve as Scoutmaster of Troop 833, Activities Director of Troop 821, Explorer Post Advisor, among other scouting leadership positions. He was an outdoors man that loved camping, fishing, hunting, campfires, and canoeing through Algonquin Park. But none could compare to his love of Allegheny State Park, where he spent many a day enjoying God's great gift of nature.

Rick joined Adams Fire Company in 1971 and has been a lifelong member, serving as Assistant Fire Chief. He enjoyed serving the community as a fireman, making chowder, fireman parades, water ball, and serving on the committee for restoration of the 1944 Buffalo fire apparatus. He was also a member of Union Hook and Ladder in Tonawanda, where he served as Captain and was a member of the Tonawanda Fireman's Benevolent. Rick went on to be the Founding Father of the Wheatfield Volunteer Firefighter's Benevolent Association in 1996 and became its first President. Rick was employed at several local machine shops as a machinist for many years. He was a lifelong member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in North Tonawanda, where he served as an usher. As an avid sports fan, he loved to watch the Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres, and NASCAR races. He had a personal interest in Native American Indian lore and loved to tell stories around the campfire.

Rick is survived by his mother, Shirley Allen; two sisters, Kathy (Laird) Burkett and Cheryl (Robert) McCall; one brother, Gilbert Allen; and seven nieces and nephews, Jennifer and Daniel Allen, Laird, Larry, and Laura Burkett, Matthew and Todd McCall. His father, Warren Allen, predeceased him.

Friends and family may call at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 1135 Oliver St., North Tonawanda on Sunday, June 3rd from 2:00-4:00 PM, followed with a memorial service following at 4:00 PM, with the Rev. Patrick McKenzie officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church. Arrangements are by the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME.

Cheryl Jean McCall, age 62, of North Tonawanda, New York, was called to be home in heaven to be with her Lord, on May 24, 2019 in Buffalo General Medical Center, after a lengthy illness. Born in North Tonawanda on March 10, 1957 to Warren and Shirley (Krueger) Allen. After graduating from North Tonawanda High School, she studied at Canisius College.
Cheryl married her neighborhood sweetheart, Robert McCall, Jr. on October 1, 1977 and worked in the insurance industry at Hartford and Cigna for several years, until her children Matt and Todd were born. She put career aside to become a dedicated homemaker; and lovingly provided day care for her sister and brother's children as well. Cheryl dearly loved all the children and frequently volunteered for school activities and field trips. Working together, Cheryl and Rob led the Northtown Soccer Club for many years.
Cheryl loved her many family pets over the years and cared for them like they were her children. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping, Allegany, and family gatherings. Cheryl also enjoyed working out at the gym with her trainer Rick, and the many friends she met there.
Cheryl was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, North Tonawanda, where she volunteered to teach Sunday School, and led the youth group. Her Bible verse to live by was from Deuteronomy 6:5 - "Love the Lord you God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength". She lived out her faith with family, friends, and even strangers. You could tell by the joy she brought to others when she was around.
In addition to her husband, Robert McCall, Jr. and sons Matthew (Julie) McCall and Todd McCall; she is survived by her mother, Shirley Allen; sister, Kathy (Laird) Burkett; brother, Gilbert Allen; brother in law, Ken McCall; niece, Jen (Jason) Gallo and their children Ethan and Emma; and nephews, Dan Allen Josh (Liz) Burkett, and Larry Burkett. Cheryl was predeceased by her father, Warren Allen; mother and father in law, Robert and Elaine McCall, Sr.; brother, Rick Allen; and niece, Laura Burkett.
Friends and family may call at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 1135 Oliver Street, North Tonawanda, NY on Saturday, June 1 from 1:00 - noon. A memorial service will follow at noon, with the Rev. Keith Knupp, officiating. A private interment will follow at St. Mark Lutheran Cemetery, Wheatfield, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Niagara County SPCA, or St. Mark Lutheran Church. Arrangements were with the DuBois Funeral Home.

Formerly of Webster, Pfuhl was an architect in Philadelphia and a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis and the University of Pennsylvania.
He is survived by his parents, Herbert and Peg Pfuhl of Webster, a brother, Daniel Pfuhl of Webster; and 2 grandmothers, several aunts, great-aunts and' great-uncles in the Niagara Falls area. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at St. martin Lutheran Church, 813 Bay Road, Webster.

Life Story


The world lost a beautiful soul, Blake Austin Chaffee, also known as Buford, 22, of the Town of Niagara, NY. He went home to be with his ‘Pa’ and his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on January 7, 2023.  Born on September 25, 2000 in Williamsville, NY, he was the son of Michael Chaffee and Deena L. (Marohn) Chaffee.

 
Buford graduated from Niagara Wheatfield High School in 2018. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Bergholz. He was employed by KWH where he worked for his Uncle, Kevin Haseley, CPM, WNY Mobile Home and Jim’s Trucking and Paving.  Most importantly, because of his vast knowledge and kindness, at a moments notice he would help anyone with anything, be it a phone call or even someone stranded on the side of the road. He spent numerous hours in the garage with his 'Pa', Jeff Marohn, learning so many things.  His mind that never stopped truly made him a 'jack-of-all-trades.’

 
In addition to his beloved parents, Blake is survived by his brother, Gage (Lisa Dussault) Chaffee; fur siblings, Ryder, Ninja and CJ; fur niece, Oakley, who he affectionally called 'sunglasses'; grandparents, Brenda (late Jeff) Marohn and Karen Chaffee and Gary Chaffee and way to many special aunts, uncles and cousins to list by name.  He will be forever in the hearts of his family and friends, who he referred to as 'buddy', especially Chris Dingey, Paul Boyd and Jim Rose. He was predeceased by his treasured uncles, Doni and Bruce; his dog, Bailey; cat, Cashmere and so many dear relatives and friends.

 
Blake would not want you to be come dressed up.  Come as you are.  Carhartt's, jeans and work boots are preferred.

 
The family will be present to receive friends on Friday, from 4-8 p.m., at the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007).  Buford’s funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 14th, at 10:00 a.m. at St. James Lutheran Church on Niagara Road in Bergholz, with Rev. Randy Kaminska officiating.  Friends invited. Everyone assemble at the church.  Prayers of committal and interment will follow in St. James Lutheran Church Cemetery, Bergholz, NY.  Flowers gratefully declined. Born in Binghamton, NY on February 12, 1989; daughter of Laird A. and Kathy (Allen) Burkett, of Wheatfield. Laura came to this area in 1996, was a high school graduate, with cosmetology certification. She is a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, North Tonawanda, where she assisted with Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and the Children's Choir. Laura was a former member of the Girl Scouts, and enjoyed travelling with her family throughout the United States. 
Survivors include a son, Bentley; her parent's; two brothers, Laird J. (Liz) Burkett of Wheatfield, and Larry Burkett of Niagara Falls; grandmother, Shirley Allen of North Tonawanda; two aunts, Cheryl (Robert) McCall of North Tonawanda, and Josephine (Stephen) Gill of Pekin; a uncle, Gilbert Allen of North Tonawanda; cousins, Matt (Julie) McCall, Jen (Jason) Gallo, Dan Allen, Todd McCall, and Aaron Gill; and friend, Wally Czaska.
Friends may call at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 1135 Oliver Street, North Tonawanda, NY 14120 on Sunday (September 9) from noon till 2:00 p.m. A memorial service will be conducted by the Rev. Keith Knupp, at 2:00 p.m. following the visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
Laura was known to have a smile on her face, a laugh in her voice, and a hug from her heart. She will be missed.
