    Mary Jane (Schuman) Sydor, 73, of Sanborn, NY, died Saturday, November 14, 2009, at the Hospice House, in Lockport, NY, surrounded by her loving husband and family. She was born July 14, 1936, in Wolcott, IN, the daughter of George Elmer and Nora (Hattabough) Schuman. She attended school in Wolcott, IN. She was married to Arnold W. Burman in 1955, and he predeceased her in 1957. Mary Jane moved from Goodland, IN, to North Tonawanda, NY, in September of 1957. She married her husband, Edward D. Sydor in 1962. She was a former trustee of the First Baptist Church of Sanborn. Mary Jane was a member of the Sanborn Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, for over 35 years, where she had served as vice president. She was a member of the Sanborn Historical Society, the Sanbornite Senior Citizens, where she served as vice president for two years, ending May 21, 2003. She loved playing bingo. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Edward D. Sydor; four children, Sherry (Willard) Haseley of Niagara Falls, Bonnie (Rick) Morrison of Tonawanda, NY, David E. Sydor of North Tonawanda, NY, Barbara (Thomas) Heldwein of Lockport, NY; six grandchildren, Kristen, Dannielle, Darlene, Amanda, Jacob and Lucas; four great- grandchildren, Aiden and Tyler Shattuck, Sydney Galas and Evan Hanel two brothers, George E. (Doris) Schuman, Jr., Jack (Pearl) Schuman; sister-in- law, Delores Schuman; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her sister, Lois Haney; and brother, Robert Schuman. The family will be present at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, SANBORN, 5893 Hoover Road, from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM Tuesday, where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 AM. The Ladies Auxiliary of the Sanborn Fire Co., will conduct a memorial service on Tuesday at 7 PM, at the funeral home.Interment will be in the White Chapel Cemetery, Amherst, NY. Should friends desire memorials may be made in Mary Jane's memory to the Niagara Hospice, Inc., 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.

Born in Lewiston, NY on January 14, 1979; daughter of Willard and Sherry (Burman) Haseley. Darlene was a lifelong member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church in Bergholz, graduated from Niagara Wheatfield High School, and earned an Associate's Degree in Radiology Technology at Niagara County Community College. She was employed at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo. Darlene enjoyed reading, vacationing in Outer Banks, and decorating for Christmas.Survivors include her loving husband, Nicholas G. Hanel. They were married October 20, 2006; her parents; two children, Evan and Ellyse Hanel; two sisters, Kristen (Todd) Hayes, and Dannielle (Todd) Galas; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.Friends may call at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield, on Friday (December 9) from 4-8 p.m. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Denton White, in Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, corner of Niagara Road and Luther Street, on Saturday (December 10) at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church.
