    Herbert C. Jacobs, 70, of
    Braley Road. Town of Wilson.
    died today (May 1, 1972) at
    Inter-Community Hospital,
    Newfane.
    Born July 10. 1901 in the
    Town of Wilson, he was the son
    of Alfred and Freda Strablow
    Jacobs.
    He was a member of the
    Exley United Methodist
    Church, Wilson and its
    fellowship class: and a
    member of both IOOF 881 and
    the Rebekah Ixidge 397 for 48
    years.
    Mr. Jacobs worked at the
    Carborundum Co. as an in:-
    spectbr, retiring in 1966 after 25
    years of service. He also drove
    a Wilson Central School
    System bus until 1971.
    He is summed, by his wife,
    Florence; a sister. Mrs. Carl
    (Irene) l^tzin of Wilson, and
    several niecejs and nephews.
    Funeral services will be held
    at the Hamilton and Clark
    Funeral Chapel, Wilson at 2
    p.m. Wednesday with the Jiev.
    Gordon Ipoomis officiating.
    Burial will be in North Ridge
    Lutheran Cemetery. Friends
    may call today from 7 to 9 p.m.
    and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7
    to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
    Contributions to the Exley
    United Methodist Church.
    Newfane, will be acceptable as
    tribute, the family said.
