    home at Collinsville, Thursday afternoon,
    October 10, after a long illness.
    She was born on Tug Hill, September
    1, 1848, daughter of Amie and
    Rosalie Manigold Brenon. September
    25, 1870, she was married to Brenton
    Bailey, who died a year ago. She had
    resided at Port Leyden and Tug Hill
    before coming to Collinsville,, where
    she made her home for nearly 20
    years. Mrs. Bailey was a member of
    St. John Church, Lyons Falls, and its
    Rosary Society.
    Surviving are a son, Marion; two
    sisters, Mrs. Margaret O'Hara,, Boon-
    ville and Rain Maurer, West Leyden.

    West Leyden. - Mrs. Raine Brenon
    Maurer, 83, died Friday afternoon,
    June 18, In her home here. She had
    been ill since suffering a fractured
    hip four days ago.
    She was born in Turin, February
    28, 1854, daughter of the late Amle
    and Rosella Manlgold Brenon, and
    was married to Frederick Maurer,
    West Leyden, in Constableville, December
    20, 1878. Mr. Maurer died
    July 28, 1887. She had resided in this
    village for 59 years and was a member
    of St. Mary's church, Its Altar
    and Rosary Societies, and of the local
    Grange.
    She leaves a son, George, West Leyden;
    two grandchildren, Alton .Maurer,
    West Leyden, and Mrs. Reinald
    Stinebrlckner, West Hempstead, L. I.;
    and a sister, Mrs. Margaret O'Hara,
    Martlnsburg.
    Funeral services were held from the
    home at 10 a. m., Monday and at 10:30
    from St. Mary's church here, with the
    Rev. B. A. O'Connetl, pastor, offlciat-
    Ing. Interment in St. Mary's cemetery,
    Constableville

    Lucian F. Brenon. 72, widely
    known resident of this city for the
    past 40 years, passed away at noon
    today at his home R. F. D. 3, after
    an illness of several weeks. He was
    stricken with heart trouble February
    13 and had been confined to
    his bed since that time.
    A son of Aime Brenon and Rose
    Manigolde, both natives of France,
    and pioneer settlers in Lewis and
    Jefferson counties, Mr. Brenon was
    born in the town of Turin, May 9.
    1858. The elder Brenon was a major
    general in the army of Napoleon I
    and was on the ill-fated retreat
    from Moscow.
    Following his marriage forty
    years ago in ST. Mary's Church
    here to Mrs. Minnie Bradt of Lee
    Center, Mr. Brenon came to this
    city and had since made his home
    here. He conducted the Brenon
    Farm on the Rome-Utica highway,
    just outside the city limits.
    He was a member of St. Mary's
    Church and of the Altar Society of
    that church.
    Surviving, besides his wife, is a
    daughter. Mrs. George Q. Grogan at
    home and a grandson, George Lu
    cian Grogan of this city. He also
    leaves five sisters, Mrs. Brenton
    Bailey of Lyons palls; Mrs. Eleanor
    Hoffman of Mohawk Hill; Mrs.
    Kaine Maurer of West Leyden;
    Mrs. Margaret O'Hara of Constablev
    ille and Mrs. Adele Radel of Boonville;
    one brother, Eugene Brenon
    ot Turin. and stepson, Leo B Bradt
    ol Rome.

    Mrs. Eleanor R. Hoffman, died at her home on Mohawk Hill Saturday after a brief Illness.

    Eleanor Raine Brennon was born on Tug Hill, town of Turin, December 9, 1858 daughter of the late Amie and Rosalie Manlgold Brennon. On January 20, 1876, she. was married to Anthony Hoffman, who died 10 years ago. She was a member of St. Michael's church, Mohawk Hill.

    Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Rudolph Schwenk, Taberg; Mrs. Arthur Kilts, Ava; Mrs. Ward Wllldama Camden, and Miss Hoffman, Detroit, Mich.; three sons, 'Fred Amie, Mohawk Hill, - and Clarence, Detroit; three sisters, Mrs. Virginia Bailey, Colllnsville, Mrs. Margaret O-Hara, Mrs. Ralne Maurer, Constableville; a, brother, Eugene Brennon, Tug Hill.

    The funeral was held from St. Michael's church Wednesday morning at 10:45.

    daughter- here. She was a communicant
    of St. Joseph's Church
    and a member of the Rosary Society.

    Turin,'March 4-Eugene Brenon,
    73, well known resident of the
    Gomer Hill section, died at his
    home early Sunday morning.
    He was born on Welsh Hill, December
    3, 1862, a son of the late
    Amie and Rosella Manigold Bre-
    Brenon.
    When a young man he lived
    den, where he attended school and
    later taught school for several
    for several years with his sister,
    Mrs. Rain© Maurer, at West Leyyears.
    In December, 1888, he married
    Mis3 Mary Runge of Romp,
    who died 17 years ago. In February,
    1921, he married Mrs. Jennie
    Manigold, who survives.
    Mr. Brenon was a violinist of
    note and bad played with a local
    orchestra on numerous occasions.
    He was a successful farmer and
    had a large circle of friends. He
    was a member of the Maple Ridge
    Catholic Church.
    Surviving besides his widow are
    two daughters, Mrs. Frank Burgeois
    of Johnstown, Ohio, and Mrs.
    John Mahoney of Martinsburg;
    two sons, Elmer Brenon of Johnstown,
    Ohio and Ernest Brenon of
    Gomer Hill; three sisters, Mrs.
    Virginia Bailey of Collinsville, Mrs.
    Margaret O'Hara of Constableville,
    and Mrs. Raine Maurer of West
    Leyden; and several grandchildren.
    The funeral will be held Thursday
    at St. Mary's Church at Con-
    stableville.

    Charles Brenon, a respected farmer,
    who resided about one mile from this
    village, died suddenly Wednesday
    about 11 a. m, as he came into the
    house from the barn. The cause of
    death was heart trouble, from which
    he has • suffered for three or four
    years. He was born December 28,
    1863, at Turin, son of Amie and Rosalie
    Brenon, and he was the youngest of
    the family. He was a member of St.
    Mary's church and Holy Name Society.
    He married Miss Mary Anna,
    October 20, 1896. Mrs. Brenon died
    in February, 1925. He is survived by
    an only daughter, Misa Pearl Brenon,
    who resides at home; also two brothers,
    Lucian Brenon, Rome, and Eugene
    Brenon, of Turin, and five sisters,
    Mrs. Brenton Bailey, Collinsvllle;
    Mrs. Eleanor Hoffman, Mohawk Hill;
    Mrs. Ralne Mauer, West Leyden;
    Mrs. Margaret O'Hara, who resides
    at the Brenon home, and Mrs. Adelle
    Radel, of Boonville. The funeral was
    largely attended from St. Mary's
    church Saturday morning, where a
    requiem mass was celebrated by Rev.
    Father Diviney. There were beautiful
    mass cards and flowers from relatives
    and friends. Interment was made In
    St. Mary's cemetery .

    WEST LEYDEN - George F
    Maurer, 67, died at his home here
    this morning. He had been in poor
    health for four years and seriously
    iH since Saturday.
    He was born in West Leyden,
    Feb. 4, 1882, a son of the late
    Frederick and Raine Brennon
    Maurer.
    On Nov. 24,1908, he married the
    former Olive Kraeger at St.
    Michael's Church, Mohawk Hill.
    The ceremony was performed by
    the Rev. F. M. Kenney. Mrs.
    Maurer died Oct. 8, 1947.
    Mr. Maurer was engaged in
    farming and had always lived on
    the farm where he was born.
    He was a member of S t Mary's
    Church, West Leyden; also a mem
    bet of Modern Woodmen of America,
    and West Leyden Grange, 620.
    Surviving are a daughter, Mrs
    Reinald Stinebrickner, West
    Hempstead, N. Y., and one son,
    Alton F. Maurer, Weat Leyden.
    Funeral services will be held
    Saturday, April 23, with a prayer
    service at the family home at
    9:30, and services at St. Mary's
    Church at 10 o'clock. Burial, in
    charge of C. W. Trainor, Boonville,
    will be in Rural Cemetery, Con
    stableville.

    9:30 Thursday. Aug. 10. at the
    Fitch Funeral Home, Boonville,

    place in the parish cemetery.
