Elaine L. (Wackett) Zimmerman, 72, of the Town of Niagara, NY, passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2009, at her residence, while under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Julia (Harris) Wackett.Elaine was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls and attended local schools. In 1952, she married Harold A. "Zimmy" Zimmerman, Jr. in Niagara Falls, NY. Mr. Zimmerman predeceased her on January 25, 2009. Elaine was employed at the Globar Division of the Carborundum Co., in Niagara Falls, for thirty eight years, where she had served as a union steward and officer for their credit union. Following her retirement from Carborundum, she worked as a sales associate at the Bon Ton Department Store in Niagara Falls. Elaine was also a volunteer worker for the Niagara County Board of Elections, and in her leisure time enjoyed golfing, bowling, gardening and crocheting. Above all, Elaine took great pleasure in spending time with her children and grandchildren.Mrs. Zimmerman is survived by her three children, Keith H. Zimmerman, Darla E. (Kenneth) McCormick and Judy L. Hertel, all of Niagara Falls, NY; and was predeceased by one daughter, Melody (Mike of Burlington, Ontario, Canada) Salfi. Survivors also include ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one sister, Darla (late William) Wendt of Sanborn, NY; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by one brother, Edward (Lori of Arizona) Wackett.Friends may call on Saturday from 6 – 8 PM and on Sunday from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM at the M.J. Darla J. Wendt, of Sanborn, NY, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at her home under the care of her family and Niagara Hospice. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on January 24, 1940, the daughter of the late Richard and Julia [Andrews] Wackett.

Darla was a custodian at Niagara County Community College for several years, before becoming the head custodian at Niagara Orleans BOCES in Sanborn, from 1977 until her retirement in 2004.She was a member of the Sanborn Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.

Darla loved spending time with her family, enjoyed gardening, going to the casino and bowling.

She was the wife of the late William B. Wendt, Jr., who died in January of 2004.
Darla is survived by two daughters Tammy (Kevin) Payne and Laura Lee (Rob) Elstrodt, a son Richard (Marie) Wendt, her daughter in law Clara Wendt, eight grandchildren Nicole, Kevin M., Jaimie, Kelly Ann, Zachary, Cody, Dakota and Derek, her dear friend Daniel Brimmer and a sister in law Lori Wackett, she is also survived by five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was the mother of the late Randy Wendt and sister of the late Edward Wackett and Elaine ( Harold) Zimmerman.

Her family will be present on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM and on Tuesday from 10-11 AM, at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM.

Memorials may be made in her name to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.

Interment in Mt. View Cemetery, Town of Cambria, NY.

Darla E. McCormick, 62, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on August 24, 2020 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Harold A. and Elaine L. (Wackett) Zimmerman.
Darla attended local schools and graduated from Niagara-Wheatfield High School.  On August 11, 2001, she married Kenneth E. McCormick in Niagara Falls, NY.  Darla was employed as a waitress at several local restaurants, including the Georgian House, Goose’s Roost and Bob Evans.  Most recently, she worked in Customer Service at Sam’s Club in Niagara Falls.   
Darla enjoyed shopping at department stores, cooking, gardening, and occasionally going to the casino.  She loved meeting and conversing with people, especially through her work.  Above all, she cherished time spent with her family.
In addition to her husband of 19 years, Darla is survived by her children, Shona E. McTigue and Melissa A. Myers; her grandchildren, Austin Edwards, Tyler McTigue, Isabella Cook, Alyssa Jakubczyk, Ashlyn Myers, and Abigail Myers; her siblings, Keith H. Zimmerman and Judy L. Zimmerman-Hertel, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was predeceased by her sister, Melody C. (late Michael) Salfi.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 28 from 10 – 1 PM at M.J. Services for Randy W. Wendt, a corrections officer at Orleans Correctional Facility, will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday in St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 64 E. Felton St., North Tonawanda. Burial will be in Mount Albion Cemetery, Albion.
Wendt, 34, of Main Street, formerly of Sanborn, died Tuesday (Oct. 26, 1993) in the Town of Shelby when a storm-damaged tree fell on him as he tried to use a chain saw on a smaller tree that was holding up the damaged tree.
A native of Niagara Falls, he was a 1978 graduate of Starpoint Central School. He was a corrections officer for the last 11 years.
Survivors include his wife, the former Clara M. Deibel; two daughters, Nicole and Kelly; a son, Cody; his parents, William and Darla Wackett Wendt of Sanborn; two sisters, Tammy Payne of Lewiston and Laura Lee Wendt of Sanborn; and a brother, Richard Wendt of Sanborn
