Alice E. Salefske, 92, of North Tonawanda, Thursday (September 5, 1985) at DeGraff Memorial Hospital. A lifelong resident of North Tonawanda, Mrs. Salefske was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ and the Women's Fellowship. Wife of the late William Salefske, she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Charles (Helen) Burtch and one sister, Miss Edna Belling, both of North Tonawanda. No prior visitation. Friends and relatives are invited to attend funeral services Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Wattengel Funeral Home, Inc., 307 Oliver St., North Tonawanda, with the Rev. Dr. John M. C. Kamaras officating. Interment Friedens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Friedens Cemetery Fund.

Burtch (nee Salefske) of North Tonawanda, age 93, passed away suddenly Friday, July 5, 2013, at the Erie County Medical Center. Mrs. Burtch was born April 3, 1920 in North Tonawanda, daughter of the late William Charles and Alice (nee Belling) Salefske. Helen attended local school and graduated from North Tonawanda High School. She went on to graduate from Buffalo State Teachers College. Mrs. Burtch was a member of Salem United Church of Christ and its Women's Group. She had been an active member of Friedens UCC Choir and Bell Choir. Helen enjoyed traveling with her late husband and gardening. Beloved wife of the late Charles E. Burtch, who passed away in 1995. Sister-in-law of Fred (late Marie) Burtch; aunt of John (Bettie) and Tom (Nancy) Burtch; also survived by several cousins. Friends may call THURSDAY 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the WATTENGEL Funeral Home, 307 Oliver St., North Tonawanda, where funeral services will be held FRIDAY at 10:30 AM, the Rev. Jeremy Lopez officiating.
