    CLARA B. GOMBERT
    WHEATFIELD -- Funeral services will be held Wednesday for Clara B. Gombert, 79, of 2554 Wurl St., who died unexpectedly Sunday (Jan. 28, 1973) in Memorial Medical Center. Services will be held at Holy Ghost Lutheran Church at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Albert W. Bahr officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Ghost Lutheran Cemetery. Mrs. Gombert was a member of the Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, Ladles Aid Society and the Women's Missionary League and Town of Wheatfield Senior Citizens. The wife of the late Arthur Gombert, she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Rudolph (Lorraine) Kroening of Wheatfield: one sister, Mrs. Elsie Stenzel of Wheatfield, six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Fretthold Funeral Home, 1311 Oliver St.. at Ward Rd, North Tonawanda, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and until noon Wednesday. If desired, memorials may be made to the Holy Ghost Lutheran Church building fund, the family said.

    Lorraine C. Kroening, 73, of Bridgeman Road, a longtime member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church in Bergholz, died Friday (Oct. 8, 1999) in the CrestWood Health Care Center, Wheatfield, after a brief illness.
    The former Lorraine Gombert was born in North Tonawanda. She was a member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League, the Wheatfield Senior Citizens, and the Sanborn Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. In addition, she had attended the DeGraff Adult Day Care Center since 1993. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards.
    Her husband, Rudolph J., died in 1987.
    Survivors include four sons, Arthur, Hartley and Darryl, all of Wheatfield, and Stephen of Lewiston; two daughters, Eileen Gieseler of Wheatfield and Naomi Kroening of Lewiston; and 10 grandchildren.
    Services will be held at 11 A.M. Monday in Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, Luther Street and Niagara Road, Bergholz. Burial will be in Holy Ghost Lutheran Cemetery, Bergholz
