    Obituary of Linda St. Cyr Linda Janice (Crewe) St. Cyr, age 67 years, of the Town of Porter died unexpectedly on November 14, 2015 in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston. Linda, was born April 27, 1948, in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late William H. and Mildred (Buttery) Crewe. Her parents lived in the Barracks housing at Fort Niagara at the time of her birth and she has resided in Niagara County all of her life. On April 27, 1968 she married her husband Robert R. St. Cyr Sr. in Niagara Falls, NY and they made their home in the Porter area, celebrating their 47th year of marriage in April of this year. Linda had attended public schools in both the Lewiston Porter Central & Niagara Falls City School Districts. As a child she worked for several farmers in the area including the Nichols Farm on Route 104, picking fruits along with her parents and after her marriage, with her husband & son. She had also been employed as a Cleaner at the former Fairchild Manor Nursing Home in Lewiston. Upon becoming disabled Linda had attended the Dukes Center on Hyde Park & the Guild Care on Pine Avenue. She loved doing all types of handicraft work. Linda loved being with her family especially her great granddaughter, Faith. She also loved her daily phone talks with her sister Alice and looked forward to seeing her brother Ken ride his moped over to visit with her in good weather. Linda was an avid Bingo player and loved to go fishing with her husband and son. Survivors include her husband Robert "Goober" Roy St Cyr Sr.; her son, Robert Roy (Marcia) St Cyr Jr.; two grandchildren, Robert R. St. Cyr, 3rd & Crystal D. St. Cyr; a great granddaughter, Faith St. Cyr, all of Lewiston; her siblings, Grace (late 'Pete') Austin and Kenneth W. Crewe of Ransomville, Alice (late 'Albert') Williams Sr. of Niagara Falls, NY, Russell(Joanne Hetrick/Kenyon) Crewe of St. Petersburg, FL, and Charles (Linda Summers) Crewe of Niagara Falls, NY; two aunts, one uncle, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Evelyn Joy (Crewe) Gilmer in May 2015 and Charlene Mae Crewe in February 2010; her maternal grandmother Grace (Nickerson) Buttery and her paternal grandparents, Rudolph and Kathleen (Stroh) Crewe.Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Rd., Ransomville on Wednesday, November 18, from 3:00 to 7:00 pm. Funeral services will begin at 7:00 pm in the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.     Evelyn J. (Crewe) Gilmer, 63, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away Friday May 22, 2015 unexpectedly at Buffalo General Hospital. Born August 4, 1951 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late William and Mildred (Buttery) Crewe.

    Evelyn graduated from LaSalle Senior High School in Niagara Falls, NY. She worked at several local restaurants throughout her life, and most recently at Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital for 12 years, until retiring in 2014. Evelyn enjoyed playing bingo, but most importantly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

    Evelyn is survived by her two children, Cynthia (Danny) Mort of Youngstown, NY and Joseph Gilmer of Niagara Falls, NY; two grandsons, Nicholas Casal and Adam Pike, three great-grandsons, Joseph, Dominick and Aiden Casal. She is also survived by her longtime companion John Stevens; her siblings Gracie (late Pete) Austin, Kenny Crewe, Alice (late Albert) Williams, Linda (Robert) St. Cyr, Russell (Joanne) Crewe, Charles (Linda) Crewe, as well as many, nieces, nephews, cousins and her former in-laws. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her sister, Charlene Crewe.

    Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4 - 8 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY RD. NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will be held on Wednesday May 27th at 10:00 AM. Interment in North Ridge Cemetery, Cambria, NY. Memorials donations may be made to Mt. St. Mary’s Foundation, 5300 Military Rd. Lewiston, NY 14092.

She had been a resident of Niagara Rehabilitation and Health Care Center on Cedar Ave. since 2005.Born at the former Ransomville General Hospital on May 15, 1959, she was the daughter of the late William and Mildred (Buttery) Crewe, formerly of Frontier Avenue. Charlene had lived in Niagara Falls since 1961 and attended Special Ed. Classes throughout the city schools, and also attended Opportunities Unlimited. She loved to listen to Country music and play her guitar. Her favorites were songs from Elvis and Alabama.Besides her parents, Charlene was predeceased by her maternal grandmother, Grace (Nickerson) Buttery and her paternal grandparents, Rudolph and Kathleen (Stroh) Crewe.She is survived by four sisters and three brothers: Grace (late Pete) Austin and Kenneth Crewe, both of Ransomville, Alice (Albert) Williams of Jefferson City, TN, Linda (Robert) St. Cyr of Lewiston, Russell (Joanne) Crewe of St. Petersburg, FL, Evelyn (John Stevens) Gilmer and Charles (Linda) Crewe, both of Niagara Falls, NY. Also survived by six nieces; eight nephews; two aunts; two uncles and several cousins.Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Saturday, February 13th from 12 noon to 2:00 PM.
