    attended Utica schools. Mr.'
    Havens was a_ carpenter for
    several Utica area construction companies.
    He was a member of Westminster
    Presbyterian Church,'
    Ziyara Temple Scottish Rite
    Masons and Liberty Lodge
    F'&'AM.
    He leaves his wife. Pansy
    Havens; a daughter, Mrs.
    Barbara Ann Dano, Syracuse; a
    stepdaughter, Mrs. Ruth
    Stafford, Bradenton; three
    sons, Robert J. Havens Jr.,
    Evans Mills: Frank and
    Richard, Poland; a sister, Mrs.
    Mildred Eck, St. Petersburg.
    The funeral was held* in
    Bradenton followed, by
    cremation

    WATERTOWN-Robert J. Havens,
    Jr., 54, of Lane Road, formerly of Utica,
    died Sunday after an automobile accident
    near Henderson. He suffered multiple
    injuries and was pronounced dead
    on arrival at Mercy Hospital.
    Mr. Havens attended Utica schools
    and was employed by Tar Mac Inc.,
    Utica, until 1957, when he moved to
    Evans Mills, where he was employed by
    the Northern Asphalt and Tar Co. until
    1973. He then formed the Upstate Tar
    and Asphalt Co. with his son, Robert J.
    Havens III, and was president of that
    corporation.
    He leaves his mother, Mrs. Mary E.
    Andrews of Utica, his son Robert, Watertown,
    and a daughter, Mrs. John
    (Patricia) Spina, Ashville.
    The funeral was held Wednesday
    from the Hart-Johnston Funeral Home
    here, with burial in Brookside Cemetery.
