St., today announced
his candidacy for Fifth
Ward Supervisor in the
North Tonawanda Republican
primary June 5.
Mr. Broecker has begun circulation
of petitions. Walter W. Witte

Forsyth, who was named Niagara
County Sanatorium business manager.
Making his first political bid,
Mr. Broecker has been employed
the last 15 years at the Tonawan-
: da Iron Division plant of American
Radiator & Standard Sanitary
Corp. He is a member of the Personnel
Managers' Club of the
Chamber of Commerce.
A lifelong North Tonawanda res-
ident, he was born July 25, 1920.f
He was educated in St. Mark's Lu-
theran School, Felton Grammer
School and North Tonawanda High
School where he was graduated in
1939. Prior to his employment at
the Tonawanda Iron Division plant,
Mr. Broecer studied general bus-
iness administration at the Bryant
& Stratton Business Institute.
In 1934, he married the former
Shirley Bowen, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Allan Bowen of 388
Wheatfield St. The Broeckers
have two children, David A., 10,
and Susan L., 6, who attend Grant
School. Mr. Broecker has served
on the Citizens Committee for
North Tonawanda Schools and the
Grant School Parent-Teacher As-
sociation

Lee A. Broecker, 48, of Sanborn, NY, passed away Thursday, November 23rd, at his residence. . 
He was born in North Tonawanda, NY,  on March 3, 1969, a son of the late Donald C. and Jane (Koithan)  Broecker.
Lee graduated from Starpoint Central School and Orleans Niagara BOCES. 

He was a tool & die maker with Voss Manufacturing for over 25 years. Lee loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. 
He survived by one brother Glenn (Karen) Broecker, a nephew Cody Broecker and many caring friends.
His family will be present on  Tuesday, from 6-7:30 PM  at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, where funeral services will be held at 7:30 PM.

CITY OF TONAWANDA — Janet C. (nee Waterstrat) Suter, age 65, of the City of Tonawanda, on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Buffalo General Hospital. A lifelong resident of the Tonawanda's, she was a graduate of North Tonawanda High School and had been employed as a Sterile Processing Technician at DeGraff Memorial Hospital for more than 20 years. Janet was also an active member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in North Tonawanda, where she taught Sunday School for many years.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Walter G. Suter; two sons, Matthew (Cindy) Suter of North Tonawanda and Kevin (Lynn) Suter of Bartow, FL; and three grandsons, Jacob, Dylan and Sean; her sister, Joyce (Daniel) Kolbe of Chicago, IL; and her cousin, Jean of Amherst.

Friends may call on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at John O. Roth Funeral Home, Inc., 25 William St. (between Morgan & Broad Sts.) in Tonawanda. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 AM on Monday at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 1135 Oliver St. in North Tonawanda. Friends invited. A private burial will be in St. Mark's Lutheran Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Janet may be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church.

LANCASTER — Judith Ann Waterstrat, age 61, peacefully, October 31, 2011 at her home, assisted by Aspire of WNY in Lancaster. Born in North Tonawanda on December 10, 1949, she had been a resident of Lancaster for the past 10 years; and was the daughter of the late Alice (nee Broecker) Waterstrat; and sister of the late Jill Granado.



She is survived by two sisters, Janet (Walter) Suter of Tonawanda and Joyce (Daniel) Kolbe of Plano, IL; her dear cousin, Jean (the late Daniel) Schultz of Williamsville; and her very dear friends, Jack, Richard, Chris and Ron; also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.



There will be no prior visitation. A private Memorial Service will be held at her Aspire home in Lancaster. Memorial contributions in memory of Judith may be made to Aspire of WNY, 2356 North Forest Rd., Getzville, NY 14068. Arrangements by John O. Roth Funeral Home, Inc., Tonawanda, NY.

NORTH TONAWANDA — Jordan F. Benedyczak, age 16, of North Tonawanda, unexpectedly, on May 11, 2011. Jordan was a student at North Tonawanda High School. Jordan loved the outdoors. He was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church and served as an usher.

Beloved son of Donald and Paula (nee Maerten) Benedyczak; brother of Amanda and Jason; uncle of Summer, Makenzie and Isabella; grandson of Robert and Ruth Maerten and the late Edward and Zofia Benedyczak; nephew of many aunts and uncles.

Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home, Inc., 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd. in North Tonawanda on Saturday from 7-9 PM and on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 10 AM. The Rev. A.W. Moldenhauer will officiate. Interment in St. Mark Lutheran Cemetery. If so desired, memorials may be made to St. Matthew Lutheran Church.
