    NORTH TONAWANDA, April 5. - Mrs Alvina Broecker, 79, died today at her home, Ward road, St. Johnsburg, after a long illness, she was born in Germany and for the past 47 years had resided in the Town of Wheatfield. She was the widow of Ernest Broecker, Surviving; are daughter Mrs. Otto Bergholz two sons, George Pankow and Henry Broecker. and two grandchildren, all of St. Johnsburg, The funeral will be held Sunday at 8 p. m. a t the home of her daughter and at 8:80 from St. John's church. Interment will be in St. John's cemetery.

    George Pankow Dies in Hospital
    WHEATFIELD George W. Pankow, 71, of Ward Rd., died today (Nov. 12, 1956) in DeGraff Memorial Hospital, North Tonawanda, after a lengthy illness. Born in Germany, he had resided in this township for the last 70 years, for 55 of which he was employed by the Buffalo Bolt Co., North Tonawanda. Surviving are his wife, Louise Glasner Pankow; three children, Mrs. Evelyn Amery, Batavia, HI., Edward and Roger Williams, North Tonawanda; 10 grandchildren and one nephew, George Bergholtz, this town. Funeral arrangements were incomplete at press time.

    TOWN BUILDING INSPECTOR DIES
    Town of Wheatfield, Jan 18 - Building inspector Henry F. Broecker 65, of Ward Rd. died last night shortly after being admitted to DeGraff Memorial Hospital, North Tonawanda. He had just returned from a Town Board meeting, when he was stricken ill at his home. A life long resident of the town, Mr. broecker was a building contractor for 25 years. He was a veteran of World War I, and a member of Town of Wheatfield Post, American Legion. He was a member of St John's Lutheran Church and of the Lutheran Layman's League. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Mellenthine Broecker, a daughter Mrs. Emmet Killian, a brother George Pankow, and one granddaughter, all of the Town of Wheatfield. Funeral services wll be held at 2 pm at the home and at 2:30 o'clock at St. John's Church. The Rev J. Walter Thiemecke will officiate. Interment will be in St John's Lutheran Cemetery.

    Henry married MELLENTHINE, Elisabeth H about 1919. Elisabeth (daughter of MELLENTHINE, Carl Friedrich Ferdinand and VOELKER, Augusta Wilhelmine Louise) was born in Oct 1898 in Town of Wheatfield, Niagara County, NY; died on 18 Oct 1976 in North Tonawanda, Niagara County, NY.     Town of Wheatfield Highway
    Department maintenance
    man, died unexpectedly
    Friday night (May 12,
    1961) at his home, 7196
    Ward Road.
    Mr. Bergholtz had just returned
    to his home after attending
    a fund raising meeting
    at St. John's Lutheran
    Church school. He felt ill and
    had called a doctor just before
    he died. Members of the
    St. Johnsburg Volunteer Fire
    Co. administered oxygen but
    failed to revive him.
    Born in Lockport, Mr. Bergholtz
    lived in the Town of
    Wheatiield for 52 years. He
    was a member of St. John's
    Church and of the fire company.
    His wife, Helen Manth
    Bergholtz, died six years ago.
    Surviving are a daughter.
    Miss Sandra Bergholtz, at
    home, and several cousins.
    The f a m i l y will receive
    friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
    at t h e Fretthold Funeral
    Home, North Tonawanda. Services
    will be conducted at 2
    p.m. Tuesday by Rev. Clarence
    W. Rabe. Burial will be
    in St. John's Cemetery.

    Went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 14, 2020 surrounded by her family, she was 76. Born in Buffalo, the only child of the late George O. and Helen (nee Manth) Bergholtz. Sandra was a 1962 graduate of Niagara Wheatfield Central School and then received an Associated Degree from Bryant and Stratton in 1964. She married her beloved husband of 55 years, Larry F. St. Cyr, on June 5, 1965 at St. John Lutheran Church in Wheatfield. Sandra loved to go out to local restaurants, spend time with her children and play games with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by everyone. She is the loving mother of Susan H. (Michael) Stromberg and Larry J. (Susan) St. Cyr; cherished grandmother of Ashley (Nick) Ardino, Jordan Stromberg, Logan (Nicole) St. Cyr and Madison St. Cyr; adored Gigi of Aubreyelle and Milana. Arrangements by AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday at Niagara Frontier Bible Church, 5287 Bronson Drive, Lewiston, NY from 2-4 PM with the service to follow at 4 PM. Friends invited.
