    and Mrs. Rennsalear Ward, both of
    Niagara Falls. He is also survived by
    f i v e grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren.
    Private funeral services
    from the home on the Ridge
    road Sunday, April 8 at 2 p.m. and
    2:30 from St. Peter's Lutheran
    Church, North Ridge. Friends are invited
    to attend services at the
    church, Rev. Carl Oldach officiating.
    Interment In North Ridge Cemetery.

    Simmons, 81, of Ridge Rd., Town
    of Cambria, died Friday (April 6,
    1956) at- Niagara Falls Memorial
    Hospital after a long illness.
    Born Oct. 25„ 1874 in the Town
    of Lewiston, Mr. Simmons was a
    member of St. Peter's Lutheran
    Church, North Ridge. He moved
    here as a young man and operated
    his farm for more than half a
    century.
    He is survived by his wife,
    Minnie Simmons; two daughters,
    Mrs. 'Edward Barkow and Mrs.
    Rennselaer N. Ward, both of Niagara
    Falls, a son, Herbert Simmons,
    North Tonawanda; five grandchildren
    and three great-grandchildren
    survive.
    Private services will be conducted
    at 2 p.m. Sunday at the home by
    the Rev. Carl Oldach, pastor of St,
    Peter's Lutheran Church, conducting.
    Friends may attend church
    services at 2:30 p.m., at St. Peter's
    Church.
    Interment will be in North Ridge
    Cemetery.

    Phyllis L. Urtel (Simmons) age 94, a life long resident of North Tonawanda, fell asleep in Jesus unexpectedly, on July 12, 2022, at her home. She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church for over 70 years, where she taught Sunday School, was a member of the Ladies Guild, and had been active in the P.T.L. She had also been involved with the M.S. Society. She was the daughter of the late Herbert and Marion (Parks) Simmons. She was the wife of the late Elton “Bob” Urtel who she lovingly cared for for many years, until his passing in 2013. Beloved mother of Nancy Meyerhofer and David (Kelly) Urtel. Grandmother of Michael (Akiko Higuci) Meyerhofer, Lindsay (Timothy) Bozek, and Leah (Joe) Wolf. Great-grandmother of Lilly and Valerie Bozek. She was the sister of the late Roger Simmons. Sister-in-law of Helen Bye, aunt of many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home Inc. 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd. in North Tonawanda on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM, funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11:00 AM, the Rev.
