Charles W. Koepsell. 54 years old, 8
Wheatfield street, died yesterday at
the DeGraff Memorial hospital after
a short illness. He had lived in
the town of Wheatfield. where he
was born, and North Tonawanda
all his life. He was a member of
the Remington Rand Social club
and Friedens Evangelical church.
Surviving are seven daughters.
Mrs. Mabel Parks of Niagara Falls,
Mrs. Pauline Brumley, Mrs. Mildred
Hall. Mrs. Lillian.Prescott and the
Misses Lillian. Beatrice and Audrey
Koepsell, all of the Tonawandas:

Rites will be held Friday afternoon
at 2:30 o'clock from the residence.

officiate and burial will be in
Friedens cemetery.

NORTH TONAWANDA - Norman E. Koepsell, 43, of 16 15th Ave., died unexpectedly Monday (Feb. 26, 1968) at his home after suffering a heart attack. Firemen were called to the house and administered oxygen. He was pronounced dead by Coroner Oscar Bell. He was a lifelong resident here and was employed at the city water pumping station. He was a World War II Navy veteran and a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church. Wife of the late Rudolph Arbeiter, who passed away in 1983; mother of Patricia (Ronald) Lake, Robert (Donna) Arbeiter and the late Linda (William) Plau; sister of Audrey (late Matt) Sarsyniak; grandmother of Lisa, Barbara, Tom, Mark, Jennifer and James; also survived by five great-grandchildren.

Born on July 24, 1940 to loving parents Harold and Pauline Brumley. Life-long resident of North Tonawanda, NY. Loving mother of Crystal (Michael) Breier, Carl (Llane) Guidotti, Michael (Maureen) Guidotti. Beloved sister of the late Donald (Mary) Brumley, Juanita (late Frank) Joyce). Loved dearly by the late Richard Fessler.
Marilyn will be sadly missed by her niece and nephew, her ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and friends.
Marilyn devoted nearly 38 years of her life to helping others through her career in the healthcare field, as a registered nurse. She was a devoted Bills fan, an avid animal lover, and loved travelling to Hiltonhead, SC with her friends and loved ones. She was a resilient woman with a great sense of humor and fashion that will be remembered by all. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a memorial service in honor of Marilyn at St. Mark Lutheran Church (1135 Oliver Street, North Tonawanda, NY 14120) on Saturday, January 25 at 10 am. Larene (Rene) Ann Pieper (nee Hall), passed away September 7, 2023, just one month short of what would have been her 90th birthday. A lifelong resident of North Tonawanda, she is predeceased by her loving husband Robert (Skippy) Pieper, and her two beautiful daughters Deborah Flynn and Robin Washcovick, (James). She is survived by her children James (Kristine) Pieper, Scott (Barbara) Pieper, Thomas (Mary Lou) Pieper, Robert (Nancy) Pieper, and Kelly (Kevin) Ezzo. A sweet grandmother to Kevin, Robert, Aubrey, Kristen, Lindsay, Brett, Joshua, Matthew, Brandon, Stephanie, Zachary, and Nicholas, and who will remember her fondly for, among other things, a candy dish on every side table and hosting Christmas Eve. She was a great grandmother to 19 blessings. Rene was an employee and friend of Town Lanes Bowling Alley for 35 years, and passed the love of bowling onto her children. She enjoyed playing Bingo and being a member of the Red Hatters after moving from her home on Sweeney Street to Bishop Gibbons. Her new friends and neighbors were like sisters. She was an avid reader and kept her mind sharp with word puzzles. She enjoyed playing, and several times won, her fantasy football league. A wake is planned at Wattengel Funeral Home, 533 Meadow Drive, North Tonawanda on Saturday, September 16 from 1-3 p.m.

Robert Hall, 80 of North Tonawanda, Thursday (September 8, 2016) in Northgate Nursing Home. Mr. Hall was born in Buffalo, New York on August 19, 1936 to James Robert and Mildred (Koepsell) Hall, Mr. Hall was a Machinist for Lawless Container, and a United States Air force Veteran.
Robert is survived by his wife of 57 years Katherine (Morrison) Hall, father of Keith (Susan) Hall, Colleen (Donald) Frazer, James, Michael, and the late Brian Hall, brother of Larene (the late Robert) Pieper, grandfather of Christopher Eldridge, Brendan (Britney), Chelsea, Gabriella, and Madison Hall, also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Diane Lee Pieper (nee Wescott) age 85, of North Tonawanda passed June 5th at her home, after a lengthy illness. Daine was born on January 14, 1939, in North Tonawanda, she was the eldest child of George and Lillian (nee Koepsell) Wescott. She was a 1957 graduate of Jefferson High School in Rochester, NY. On July 12, 1958, Diane married the love of her life, James Pieper. They shared 61 incredible years together until Jim’s passing in 2019. Diane was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and St Matthew Lutheran Church. At the church she has served, at one time, on the Decorating Committee, Youth Board, Sunday School, and the Ladies Guide. She retired from the North Tonawanda United Teachers in 1997 after 20 years serving as the union’s administrative secretary. Diane’s family was the center of her life, she also was an avid reader of romance novels, watcher of television mysteries, and enjoyed her memories from many cruise vacations. She is survived by two sons, Timothy of North Tonawanda, NY and David (Cathy) of Fairview Heights, IL; one daughter Lynda (Paul) Schultz of Grand Island, NY; five grandchildren, Jonathan (Rachel) and Jenna Pieper, and Emma, Laura and Rebecca Schultz; one brother, Arthur (Chun) Wescott, and many nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Third Warders Social Club, the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #1411 and a 50-year member of the Sweeney Hose Fire Company.
