Services for Herbert R. Hurtgam, 91, a lifelong Cambria resident and owner of a vegetable farm for more than 60 years, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in St. Peter Lutheran Church, Church Road, Cambria. Burial will be in St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery.
Hurtgam, of Ridge Road, died Monday (Sept. 9, 1991) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after a long illness. In addition to the vegetable farm, he operated an egg delivery business for more than 30 years. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, the Niagara County Farm Bureau, Niagara County Cooperative Extension and the Newfane Golden Agers. Survivors include his wife, Mildred M. Schultz; two sons, Jerry of Ransomville and Charles of Greene; three grandchildren, and two stepgrandchildren.

RANSOMVILLE —
Jerry H. Hurtgam, age 70, of Ransomville, fell asleep in Jesus on Monday, November 26, 2012, at his home after a lengthy illness. Jerry was born on December 9, 1941 in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late Herbert R. and Mildred (Schultz) Hurtgam.
He was a 1959 graduate of Wilson Central High School. Jerry was past owner and operator of J Hurtgam Farms and sold produce at Niagara Falls and North Tonawanda farmers markets. He served in various roles on the Farm Bureau, Niagara County Cooperative Extension, and the Lake Plains Vegetable Growers. Jerry was a lifelong member of St. Peter Lutheran Church at North Ridge, where he served as usher and member of the finance committee. Faith, family, friends, farming, and Bluegrass music fulfilled his life.
Jerry is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Brenda (Schendel) Hurtgam; two sons, Jeff (Harmony) Hurtgam and Jay (Cassandra) Hurtgam, both of Ransomville; a daughter, Jodie Hess of Hilton, NY; four grandchildren, Emma, Abigail, Allison and Nathan Hurtgam; and a brother, Charles (Maggie) Hurtgam of Greene, NY.
Friends may call at St. Peter Lutheran Church at North Ridge, 4169 Church Rd., Town of Cambria on Saturday, December 1st from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM in the Church with the Rev. Robert Hoffman officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery. Longtime Farmer of Barker

Ronald Edward Hurtgam passed away peacefully at home on March 7, 2015 with his loving wife of 65 years, Wilma (Bayles) Hurtgam, by his side. He was son of Edward and Winfred (Brawn) Hurtgam; predeceased by brother, Mervin Hurtgam; and infant son, David William Hurtgam.

Ronald is survived by seven children, Keith (Darlene) Hurtgam, Kathy Hurtgam Frost, Karen (Bob) Boyle, Karyl (Rich) Miller, Lora (Jeff) Partyka, Michael Hurtgam, Barbara (Tim) Kraus; fourteen grandchildren, Chad (Cathrine) Hurtgam, Amanda (Tom) Detschner, Mathew Hurtgam, Jeff (Debora) Frost, David Frost, Jason (Stacy) Boyle, Derek Boyle, Megan (Andrew) Hyatt, Katie (Noah) Miller, Kim (David) Stoll, Steven and Scott Partyka, Jamie (David) Schwab, Kristina Hurtgam and nineteen great-grandchildren; beloved dogs, Buster, Maggie and Pewee; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim and Edith Faery, Shirley (Late John) Hartmann, Steve and Sue Bayles and Joyce (Late Bill) Bayles.

Ronald loved to farm and loved his animals. He continued to farm and care for animals up to the last months of his life. He was an adverturous snowmobiler and enjoyed playing Euchre. He loved to tractor pull and ride in his l977 pace car Mustang. He was a member of Masons for 52 years at the Gasport Lodge No. 787. He enjoyed chewing the rag with his friends and fellow farmers. Known for his hard cider and whiskey cherries that he enjoyed sharing with friends. He will be missed but never forgotten by his loving family. Thank you for everything Dad and Grandpa!

Mary Lou he was employed by Harrison Radiator Division of GM as an assembly line worker retiring after 20 years. Her and Morton are members of St. Peter Lutheran Church at North Ridge. Terry T. Hurtgam, age 51, of Ransomville, died on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at his home under the loving care of his family and Niagara Hospice after a long battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). Terry was born on February 2, 1963 in Syracuse, NY, the son of Sue (Harbison) Hurtgam of Ransomville and the late Mervin Hurtgam. He was 1981 graduate of Wilson High School and was an Operations Manager with Kitchen World for over 30 years. He enjoyed hunting, camping and being with his family.
In addition to his mother, Terry is survived by his wife, Julie (Heiman) Hurtgam, whom he married on October 22, 1994. He is also survived by a daughter, Jill (Ryan) Harden of Ransomville; a son, Patrick (Katelyn) Ferguson of Lockport; his grandchildren, Hunter, Parker, Tanner, and Charlotte; his siblings, Brenda (Jim) Bolinski of Philadelphia, PA, Craig Hurtgam of LaGrange, IN, Rise (Jack) Gian of Ft. Myers, FL, Joel (Lisa) Hurtgam and Mark Hurtgam, both of Youngstown and Mary Anne (Glenn) Boyce of Ransomville; and his mother-in-law, Diane Heiman of Lockport.
