A former North Tonawandan,
Chester W. Szeliga, 22, died early
Monday in a house fire at his residence
at 7705 Buffalo Avenue,
Niagara Falls.
Officials said the fire was caused
by careless smoking. The victim
was an upholstery apprentice in
Niagara Falls.
He is survived by his mother,
Eleanor Szeliga of Niagara Falls,
and father, Chester Szeliga of Hannibal,
N.Y., eight brothers and sisters
and his grandmother.
A memorial service will be at 2
p.m. Wednesday at the Cooper
Funeral Home, 8028 Buffalo Ave.,
Niagara Falls.

No prior visitation. A memorial
service will be held Wednesday at
2:00 p.m. at the Cooper Funeral
Home, 8028 Buffalo Ave., Niagara
Falls. The Rev. Erwin Brese officiating.
Burial was in St. Pauls
Lutheran Cemetery.
