    NORTH TONAWANDA - Julius Fischer, 68, a World War I veteran, of 23 Lynwood Ave., died Monday (July 1, 1963) at Buffalo Veterans Hospital after a long illness. He was born in Buffalo and had lived most of his life in this city. He was a retired employee of Spaulding Fibre Inc. and was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, American Legion, Tonawanda Post No. 264, Ken-Ton Post of Kenmore, and during the war served with the 78th Division in Europe. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mamie Heppner Fischer; a daughter; Mrs. Donald (Judith) Klein; this city; three brothers, Robert and Elmer Fischer this city, and Clarence Fischer, Long Beach, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Martha Wrege, Mrs. Lillian Kohler and Mrs. Lester Warblow, all of this city. Friends may call from 24 p.m. at the Fretthold Funeral Home where services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday by Rev. Donald Gardella. Burial will be in Elmlawn Cemetery.

    NORTH TONAWANDA - Mrs. Martha Fischer Wrege, 75, of 7214 Witmer Road, Town of Wheatfield, died Tuesday (Oct. 12, 1971) at DeGraff Memorial Hospital. She was a lifelong resident of the Town of Wheatfield and a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ. She is survived by her husband, Walter R. Wrege; a son, Warren K. Wrege of Rochester; a sister, Mrs. Lester (Marion) Warblow of this city and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Fretthold Funeral Home. The Rev. George Snyder will officiate. Burial will be In St. Mark's Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. today and Thursday,

Richard had been employed by Opportunities Unlimited and by the former Best Western Hotel on Buffalo Ave. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. He was the son of the late Howard and Lillian (Fisher) Kohler and brother of the late Howard Kohler Jr. Uncle of Karen Stornelli and Susan Gettings. Great uncle of Dominic, Ryan, and Anthony Stornelli, Alicia (Matthew) Jones and the late Matthew Fortier, great-great uncle of Skyler Fortier.
    Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home Inc. 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd. in North Tonawanda on Thursday from 2-4 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home beginning at 4 PM. Due to current circumstances, social distancing and masks will be required to adhere with current regulations. Interment will be in Elmlawn Cemetery.
