Rd., died last evening (Nov. 30,
1955; in Lockport City Hospital
a*fter a six-month illness.
Born in Swormsville, Feb. 9, 1897,
Mrs. Schuler was the daughter of
Henry and Teresa Schuchert Keller.
She attended St. Mary's parochial
school, Swormsville, and was
a member of St. Mary's Church,
Lockport.
In addition to her husband, she
is survived by four daughters,
Mrs. Raymond Townsend, North
Ridge, Mrs. Vira. Schuler, Pendleton,
and Mrs. Joseph Hammer,
Middleport, Mrs. Robert Berst,
Tonawanda; four sons. Alton F.
Schuler, Wilson and Elmer H.

LOCKPORT — Helen R. (Schuler) Townsend, age 93, of Lockport, entered into rest on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at Niagara Hospice House. Born September 14, 1916 in Cambria, NY, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Elizabeth (Keller) Schuler. Helen was a graduate of Lockport High School. She married Raymond W. Townsend on May 31, 1939 in Wilson. Mr. Townsend died on November 1, 1998. Helen had worked at Mt. View Health Facility in Lockport as a cook. She retired in 1978 after 13 years. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, sewing, baking and gardening. Helen had lived most of her life in Lockport. Loving mother of Nancy French of Newfane, Donna Parmley of Lockport and Anne (Rodger) George of Lockport; a son predeceased Helen, Raymond P. Townsend; sister of Elmer Schuler of Cambria and Thelma Berst of North Carolina and the late Alton Schuler, Donald Schuler, Alice Hammer and Vira Schuler; 12 grandchildren, 23 great- grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren and her canine friend, Sara, also survives her. Lockport: Sharon A. Duhow, 60, passed away peacefully January 24, 2021. She was born June 14, 1960 in Newfane, the daughter of the late Ashely Ray Parmley and Donna R. (Townsend) Parmley. Sharon was a 1979 graduate of Newfane High School and also graduated from Niagara University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.Sharon was a member of St. Brendan on the Lake in Newfane. She enjoyed camping, puzzles and sitting on her front porch listing to thunder storms. Sharon’s greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.Sharon was predeceased by her husband Larry Eugene Duhow; sister, Dawn Burkett; sister-in-law Donna Nytes and brother-in-law Gary Duhow. Paul R. Townsend peacefully entered into rest on November 28, 2018 in Buffalo General Medical center.  Born September 26, 1965 he is the son of Agnes (Fura) Townsend and the late Raymond P. Townsend.  Paul enjoyed motorcycles, hot rods, and was a die hard Raiders fan.  Besides his mother Paul is survived by his wife of 30 years Cori (Provenzano) Townsend; daughters Cherylynn and Carissa Townsend; siblings Joseph F. (Linda) Townsend, Ray Thomas, Tina Rae, and late Tony Townsend; brother-in-law Richard (Darcy) Provenzano; also survived by his dog Diesel, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many great friends.

LOCKPORT — Tony Ray Townsend passed away November 20, 2010 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. Born October 16, 1971, he was the beloved son of Agnes (nee Fura) and the late Raymond P. Townsend. Besides his mother, Tony left surviving his cherished son, Hunter S. Townsend, the pride of his life and fiancee, Kari Balk and her daughter, Michaila; brother of Joseph F. (Linda), Paul Raymond (Cori), Ray Thomas and Tina Rae; also left surviving, several aunts and uncles; seven nieces and five nephews; several cousins and many friends.

Tony enjoyed owning and operating TNT Paving and Sealing and Center Street/B & M Auto businesses. He attended St. Joseph's (All Saints) his entire life and also was an altar boy and later on, an usher there. His hobbies included hunting, playing cards, caring for his animals and dog Raider, and watching the Yankees, Raiders and Bruins. Tony spent most of his time helping others, especially his family. He will be sadly missed.
