    Thursday (June 21, 1962) at
    Memorial Hospital after a two-
    month illness.
    A native of Introdacqua,
    Italy, she came to this city
    31 years ago.
    She Is survived by a son,
    John Ventresca, this city, and
    two daughters; Mrs. Silvio
    (Adalgisa) DiPietro of Toron-
    to, Ont., and Mrs. Frank
    (Teresa) Zuccari. this city,
    three brothers; Angelo and
    Enrico Centofanti, this city,
    and Germano Centofanti of
    Italy.
    She is also survived by 11
    grandchildren and six great-
    grandchildren.

    Notes:

    John Ventresca was born in Niagara Falls and passed away quietly in his sleep while on vacation in Florida in 2021. John was the youngest child of Rosina (Centofanti) and Giovanni Ventresca and was preceded in death by his parents and older siblings; Elanda DelZoppo and Anthony Ventresca.
    John grew up in Niagara Falls and attended Niagara Falls High School. He graduated from the University of Buffalo School of Pharmacy in 1970 and settled in Michigan. John owned the Professional Building Pharmacy in Pontiac, MI, for over 20 years, where he served as the community's pharmacist. After selling his business, he worked as a traveling pharmacist for large stores, filling in where needed.
    John loved to travel, sailed on many cruises, and crossed the globe with his friends and family. "Johnny V" was always the life of the party, made new friends everywhere he went, and lived to the fullest.
    John is survived by his niece, Lisa (Paul) Gianneschi; and nephews, Kevin (Stacy) Ventresca, Robert (Patricia) DelZoppo, David (Linda) DelZoppo, Gerald (Gail) DelZoppo, and John (Ruth) DelZoppo; eight grand-nieces and grand-nephews, many cousins, including the Zuccari families of Bergholz, and countless friends who were more like family.
    A Celebration of Life reception will be held for both John and his brother, Tony, on Saturday, May 21, 2022. Friends and family are invited. Email SanctuaryFL@mindspring.com for details.

    Notes:

    Elanda (Ventresca) Del Zoppo, 87, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away at her residence on January 10, 2018. Born in Introdacqua, Abruzzo, Italy, she was the loving daughter of the late Giovanni and Rosina (Centofanti) Ventresca. 

    Elanda immigrated to Niagara Falls at the age of 2 with her family. She attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1948. On June 17, 1950, she married her highschool sweetheart, Rocco Del Zoppo, at St. Joseph's Church and spent 58 memorable years together until his passing on April 19, 2009. 

    Elanda began her career with the Niagara Falls Board of Education as a stenographer in the late 1940's, and later as a Home School Partner at LaSalle Senior High from 1983 until 1993. During that time, she was also employed as a waitress at the Como Restaurant for 32 years until retiring in 1992. Elanda always wanted to be a teacher. Even though she didn't have a degree, she impacted hundreds of students as a volunteer in her son Gerrys classroom, where she was affectionately known as GRANDMA. Elanda indeed became a tremendous, loving teacher and cherished every moment. In 2010, Elanda was awarded the Parent/Agency Support Recognition Award from the Niagara Falls Board of Education, and in 2015 the Community Service Award from the Niagara Falls Teacher's in recognition of all her contributions. 

    Mrs. DelZoppo was a longtime parishioner and choir member of Prince of Peace Church, as well as a dedicated member of her class of 1948 reunion committee. In her leisure time, she enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and vacationing in Old Forge, NY with her family. Elanda always looked forward to countless family gatherings and celebrations both in her home and elsewhere. She treasured her relationships with many cousins including the, Zuccari, Perricelli and Eugeni families, and lifelong friends, John and Dorothy Manfredo 

    Mrs. DelZoppo is survived by her four sons, Robert (Patricia) Del Zoppo, David (Linda)Del Zoppo, Gerald (Gail) Del Zoppo and John (Ruth) Del Zoppo; eight grandchildren,Daniel and Leanne Del Zoppo, Rocco and David Del Zoppo, John Del Zoppo, Ben (Stacey)Del Zoppo, Tessa and Noelle Del Zoppo, five great-grandchildren, Breeanna,Gian, Evan, Ryan and Remi, two brothers, Anthony (Donna) Ventresca, John Ventresca and was predeceased by an infant brother, Anthony Ventresca. She is also survived by several nieces,nephews and cousins.

    Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 14th from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin on Monday at 9:15 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. in St. Vincent De Paul Parish at Prince of Peace Church, 1055 North Military Road Niagara Falls. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

    Notes:

    Frank ‘Murph’ Zuccari, 74, died Tuesday, August 6, 2019 in Buffalo General Hospital after a brief illness.  A lifelong operator and owner of Zuccari Brothers Dairy in Bergholz, he was the son of the late Alfonso ‘Frank’ and Teresa (Ventresca) Zuccari.  He leaves behind his beloved wife of 46 years, Rosalie (Cimo) Zuccari, children Jacqueline (Kevin) Mang; Anthony (Maria) Zuccari and Patrick Zuccari and four grandchildren; Domenico, Giovanni and Gianna Zuccari and Bernadette Mang.  He is also survived by brothers Paul A. (Luanne) Zuccari and Robert P. (Joan) Zuccari, several nieces and nephews and cousins, including his business partner Ron Zuccari.
    Murph was well known for his smile, his wit, his strength, his energy and his work ethic. He began working on the Zuccari farm with his father and uncle as a small child.  He was a wonderful father and grandfather who loved his family and he was a lifelong farmer who loved the land.  He was well respected within the farm community in Niagara County and his smiling face and joyful laughter was recognized throughout the area.  Many other farmers sought Murph’s advice and opinions about agriculture and farm techniques.  He maintained lifelong friendships with those he had made as a student in Niagara Wheatfield schools and those he made as a county businessman and farmer.  He and his brother, Robert, operated the family farm, which was a dairy business for over 60 years before shifting to crop production.
    Murph enjoyed trips to the casino and to the Adirondacks with his family.  He loved sports, especially watching his grandsons’ play hockey, and trying to support the Buffalo Bills.  He delighted in spending time with his grandchildren.  He loved the Zuccari holiday gatherings and playing cards with his brothers and cousins. He was an extraordinary man and his laughter and good humor will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
    Visitation will begin on Thursday, August 8 from 5 – 8 PM and will resume on Friday, August 9 from 3 – 8 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304 where funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 10th at 9:15 AM followed by Murph’s Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM St. Vincent DePaul Parish at Prince of Peace Church, 1055 N. Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304.  Interment in Wheatfield Cemetery, North Tonawanda, NY.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Roswell Park Cancer Institute, PO Box 631 Buffalo, NY 14240.  Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
