church, North Ridge. Interment in

for Mrs. Hulda T. Volls. 71.
widow of Rudolph Volls, was held
Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock
at the family home. Townline road,
and at 3 o'clock at the St. Peter's
Lutheran church, North Ridge. Interment
was in North Ridge Cemetery.
The Rev. Carl W. Oldach officiated.
The bearers were Herbert
Schuman, Max Schuman, Elsworth
Blgalow, Fred Bigalow, Edward
Dormer and Bert Israel.

Volls. 64, of 3351 Wilson-
Cambria Townline R o a d , a
bus driver for the Niagara
Frontier Transit Corp. for 45
years, will be held at 2:30 p.m
Wednesday at the Hamilton &
Clarke Funeral Home.
The Rev. Carlton Oldach,
minister of St. Peter's Lu-
theran Church, North Ridge,
will officiate. Burial will be
in North Ridge Cemetery.
Mr Volls died Saturday
(Oct. 8, 1960) at Inter-Com-
munity Hospital. N e w f a n e
where he was a patient for
12 days.
He was born in the Town
of Lockport Sept. 12, 1896, son
of Rudolph and Hulda Ganshaw
Volls. He began working
for thc transit firm when he
was 19 years old.
He is survived by his wife,
Mrs. Lillian Niethe Volls; two
sons, William Volls Jr. and
Robert Volls, all of Wilson;
three sisters, Mrs. Edward
Schrader, Mrs. L o u i s Pratt,
both of Wilson, and Mrs. Kenneth
Roth, Buffalo; and two
brothers. F r ed Volls, Lock-
port, and Martin Volls, Wilson.

He was a resident of Lockport
for over 30 years. Retired
for three years, he was
formerly employed by the
Chevrolet p l a n t , . General
Motors Corp., in Buffalo for
38 years.
He was a member of the
First English L u t h e r an
Church, the Senior Citizens,
and the Old Guard.
In addition to his brother,
h e is survived by a s t e p-
-daughter, Mrs. Edward (Bernice)
Noon, of Newfane; three
sisters, Mrs. Viola Schrader
and Mrs. Helena Pratt, both
of Wilson, and Mrs. Margaret
Roth, of Buffalo, and one
grandchild.

OBITUARY

Lois M. Walker of  North Tonawanda, NY, passed away on  Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at Harris Hill Nursing Facility.   She was born in Lockport, NY, on July 20, 1930, a daughter of the late  Martin and Mildred [Cornell] Volls.
Mrs. Walker graduated from Wilson High School in 1949 and remained an active member of the school's alumni association. She was employed as an office manager with Westinghouse in Cheektowaga for many years.
Mrs. Walker was a  member of  St. Jude the Apostle Parish in  North Tonawanda, NY.
She was the wife of the late Richard Walker who passed away in 1975 and dear friend of Robert North who passed away in 2017.
Mrs. Walker was the mother of Bonnie (James) Fritz and Donna Walker, six grandchildren Kristin (Timothy) Pitts, Allissa Justin) Halderman, Andrew Aki,  Alexander (Alicia) Aki, Megan (Michael) Dillon and Ryan (Alyson) Fritz,  twelve great grandchildren, sister in  law of Nancy (Richard) Reak and Ronald (Kay) Kaiser and was the aunt of Marty R. Volls and Jayne (Douglas) Lloyd. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Martin Volls.
Her family will be present on Saturday from 10-11:00 AM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, Sanborn, followed by  funeral services at 11:00 AM, with the Rev. James Kirkpatrick officiating.  
Memorials may be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association, 6215 Sheridan Drive, Buffalo, NY  14221.
Interment at North Ridge Cemetery, Town of Cambria, NY.

Kathleen May (Schrader) Betts of Wilson NY, wife of the late Douglas Charles Betts entered into rest on November 14, 2022. Kathy was born in Niagara Falls on December 30,1946, daughter of the late Arnold and Thelma Schrader. Mother of Nicole (Gary Snyder), Doug Jr (Stacey Sabo), and Jodie (Mark Thrush). Grandmother of Joshua, Isabella, Paige, Addison, Austin, Tyler, Mitchel, Stacy and 6 great grandchildren. Also survived by her brother Craig Schrader, several cousins, nieces and nephews, and her dear friend Judy Frerichs.


Kathy graduated from Wilson Central in1964 and married her high school sweetheart Doug on August 24, 1968. Kathy and Doug enjoyed their classic cars and cruising with their cruiser friends through the years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, crafting, and taking trips to Walmart followed by lunch with her friend Judy. Kathy was a 50+ year member of the Wilson Ladies Auxiliary and known for her love of purple and her purple glass collection, She will be missed by her kitty Big Girl.


Family and friends may call at the Rutland Corwin Funeral Home, Inc. Newfane NY on Friday, November 18th from 3pm-7pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 am at Rutland-Corwin followed by a burial at Greenwood Cemetery, Wilson NY.
