    Wilson, Jan. 18. - The funeral of
    Charles Israel, who died here on Monday,
    will be held at the home on Wed-
    nesday afternoon at 1.30 o'clock. He
    was 76 years old and had lived in the
    town of Wilson for 60 years. He Is
    survived by his wife and three sons.
    Albert and Fred Israel of Wilson and
    Herman Israel of Newfane; four daughters,
    Mrs. Frank Brandt, Mrs. Julius
    Toenniessen. Mrs. Max Schumann and
    Mrs. Frank F. Dietrich of Wilson, and
    seventeen grandchildren. Burial will
    be in North Ridge cemetery.

    She was born Oct. 23, 1876
    in Gardenville, N.Y., t h e
    daughter of Charles and
    Ernestine Lehsten Israel. She
    was married to Julius Toenniessen
    and they made their
    home on Ike Nelson Road,
    Wilson. After his death June
    18. 1948, she made her home
    with her son, Albert J. Toen-
    niessen of the above address .
    She was a member of the
    Wilson Golden Age Club.
    In addition to Albert, she is
    also survived by two other sons
    Norman C of Lockport and
    Julius M Toenniessen of
    Niagara Falls; a brother, Bert
    Israel of here and two sisters,
    Mrs. Clara Schuman of
    Lockport, and Mrs. Ida Dietrick
    of here. Also surviving are four
    grandchildren and 10 great-
    grandchildren.
    Beginning today, friends may
    call at the Hamilton and Clark
    Funeral Chapel here where the
    family will also be present
    Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7
    to 9 p.m.
    Funeral services will be held
    Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the
    Rev. Frederick Savage offi-
    ciating. Burial will be in North
    Ridge Cemetery.

    Mrs. Minnie Israel Brandt, 78,
    widow of Frank Brandt, died
    this morning at her home, 24
    South Main St., Newfane, following
    a three-month illness.
    She was born Sept. 24, 1870 at
    Wilson, a daughter of the late Mr.
    and Mrs. Charles Israel. All of her
    married life was spent on the Nelson
    Road, Town of Wilson.
    Following the death of Mr.
    Brandt on Aug. 12, 1954, she
    moved to Newfane. She wss a
    member of Concordia Lutheran
    Church, Beebe Road.
    She Is survived by two sons and
    two daughters. Clarence Brandt
    of Lockport, Charles Brandt, of
    Warren's Corners, Mn. Earl Weaver,
    of North Ridge, Mn. Violet
    Schalk, at home. Also eight grandchildren
    and four great-grandchildren.
    Also three sisters and three

    Mr. Israel was born In Wilson
    and attended school there. About a
    year ago the family removed to this
    city. He was employed by the Carborundum
    company. He was a member
    of the Wilson Volunteer Fire

    and parents.

    46 years.
    He is survived by his widow,
    Loretta Toenniessen; a

    Bull of Lockport; two brothers,
    Albert of Wilson and Julius
    Toenniessen of Niagara Falls;
    and four grandchildren.
    Beginning at 7 p.m. today,

    BURT — Ernestine Dietrick Walpole, age 96, on July 17, 2012, while under Hospice Care of Richmond, VA, with her loving family at her side. Born on March 29, 1916 in Burt, NY, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Ida (Isreal) Dietrick.

    She attended local schools and earned her Bachelors of Education at Buffalo State College. Ernestine met and married Stuart V. Walpole on November 22, 1939. A teacher for 34 years in the Wilson School District, she started out in a one-room school house. Ernestine was a Member of Exley United Methodist Church and Delta Kappa Gamma National Society International. She and Stuart loved to travel and spend time with family and friends.

    Surviving are a son, Randy Walpole of Richmond, VA; a grandson, John Stuart Walpole; a granddaughter, Bridget (Jeff) Hamm; and a great-grandson, Parks Hamm. Stuart V. Walpole predeceased Ernestine on December 4, 1993.

    Visitation will be on Friday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM in the Hamilton and Clark Funeral Home, 270 Young Street, Wilson, where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 AM. Memorial contributions to the Wilson Historical Society Lake Street, Wilson, NY 14172.

    Joyce Loretta (Toenniessen) Bull, 91, died peacefully on Saturday, March 3, 2018.  Born February 15, 1927 to Norman Toenniessen and Loretta (Merz) Toenniessen.  She graduated from Lockport High School in 1944.  September 1944 she entered Deaconess School of Nursing in Buffalo, graduating in 1947.  She was especially proud of becoming a Registered Nurse under the US Army Cadet Nurse Corps (which was established to prevent a nursing shortage during WW II).  She worked at Lockport Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1987.
     
    Devoted wife of Gerald E. Bull, married June 19, 1948, First English Lutheran Church, Lockport.  This June would have been their 70th Anniversary.
     
    Survived by husband, Gerald Bull; and four children Linda Stevens, Donna Macaluso both of Lockport, Richard (Sheila) Bull of Middleport, and Gary (Diane) Bull of Alleghany; also six beloved grandchildren, five great grandchildren, four step grandchildren, and seven step great grandchildren.  Also sister-in-law Geraldine Luckman, nieces, nephews, and dear cousins.
     
    Having attended the one room Cobblestone School House, corner of Hamm and Transit Roads, Town of Lockport, she remained active in its annual reunions, hosting many at her home.  Past member of the Town of Lockport Historical Society, Niagara County Historical Society, and active in Toenniessen Family Reunions.  She taught Sunday School at First English Lutheran Church.
     
    Friends may call Friday, March 9th from 4-7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 10th at 11 AM in First English Lutheran Church, 185 Locust St., Lockport.  Interment will be at a later date.  Memorial donations to the church or the Lockport Public Library, 23 East Ave., Lockport would be appreciated.  Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
