    NIAGARA FALLS — Mark T. Hunter, 61, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2011. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on October 15, 1949, he was the son of the late John and Audrey (Credicott) Hunter and attended local schools. On March 28, 1968, Mark joined the US Marine Corp serving in Vietnam, receiving the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 1 star and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. He was honorably discharged as a LCPL October 17, 1969. He was employed as a forester in the forestry industry and enjoyed spending time with his friends.

    He is survived by his sisters, Kathy Jakubowski and Dawn Gordon, both of Niagara Falls, NY; his nieces, Donna and Karen Antonucci; nephews, Richard (Lori) Jakubowski, Albert Antonucci, Thomas (Roxanne) Jakubowski, Paul (Rebecca) Jakubowski; also several great-nieces and nephews; his aunt, Lois Hilts and many loving friends.

    There is no prior visitation. Memorial services will take place Sunday, February 20th at 1:00 PM, with Military Honors at ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME INC., 319-24th St., cor. Welch Ave., Niagara Falls, NY. Burial will take place in N.F. Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY on Tuesday, February 22nd at High Noon. Donations in Mark’s memory may be made to the Niagara County SPCA.

    Dawn L. Gordon, 64, of Youngstown, NY, was called to heaven on Jan. 3, 2018. She was devoted to her family and friends and enjoyed life to the fullest, including spending time at the family's favorite vacation spot on the lake. Born Jan. 29, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Audrey and John Hunter.
    Among the things Dawn enjoyed most in life were celebrating Christmas, fishing, making ceramics, and shopping, but she was happiest when spending time with her soulmate George and her loving children and grandchildren.
    In recent years, she bravely battled many illnesses and will be remembered for being a fighter and an inspiration to her family and friends.
    In addition to her parents, Dawn was predeceased by her brother Mark Hunter. She is survived by her soulmate George Confer, sister Kathy Jakubowski, three children, Donna Antonucci, Albert (Sherry) Antonucci, Sr., and Karen (Erik) Sootheran, a step-son Billy Confer; seven grandchildren, Tyira Place, Casey Pembleton, Derek Nice, Sierra Antonucci, Krista Antonucci, Albert Antonucci Jr. and Hunter Confer, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
    The family will welcome visitors Monday January 8th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at ZAJAC'S FUNERAL HOME INC., 319 24th St., cor. Of Welch Ave, Niagara Falls. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday January 9th at 12noon at Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel, 5871 Military Road in Lewiston, NY, with Rev. Jeffrey L. Nowak officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT THE CEMETERY.

    Thomas J. Jakubowski, 47, of Lockport, NY, passed away on March 20, 2024 at Buffalo General Hospital.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of Kathy L. (nee Hunter) Jakubowski and Dave ‘Jake’ (Yolanda) Jakubowski.
    Tom attended Niagara Falls High School.  He was employed as an Auto Mechanic with West Herr Nissan in Lockport, NY.  As avid outdoorsman, Tom enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and boating.  He also enjoyed working on cars and home improvement projects.  Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his son.
    In addition to his parents, Thomas is survived by his son, Hunter Jakubowski; his brothers, Rich (Lori) Jakubowski and Paul (Rebecca) Jakubowski; his significant other, Bettina Feder, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
    Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 23 from 2 – 7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304, where funeral services will begin at 7 PM.  Private interment in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY, will be held at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may made to ConnectLife, https://www.connectlife.org/donate.  Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
