    NIAGARA FALLS -
    John K. Costa, of Niagara Falls, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2014 in Niagara Rehabilitation Center following a lengthy illness. He was born on December 1, 1959, a son of the late J. Joseph and Carol Ann (Winker) Costa.
    John attended local schools including the former LaSalle High School. Before his illness he was employed as a skilled carpenter with various firms and built many homes in the area. He was a kind and generous man, who loved his family deeply. He was a people person, making friends wherever he went and always willing to share what little he had with others.
    John will be sadly missed by his loving brother, Joseph J. (Lynne) Costa; loving sister, Catherine "Sissy" (Michael) Insalaco; and loving nieces and nephews, Joseph, Natalie, Daniel, Jessica, Michael and John; as well as five great-nieces, a great-nephew, and his special Aunt, Katy. He is also survived by many, aunts, uncles and cousins.
    No prior visitation. Private services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. If desired, memorials may be made in his memory to Niagara Gospel Rescue Mission, P.O. Box 2657, Niagara Falls, NY 14302-2657 or Niagara Hospice, Inc. Arrangements by LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC.
