oyce M. Mauro, 87, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April    21, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her loving family while under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Niagara Falls, she was the daughter of the late Joseph D. and Violet I. (Coleman) Augustino.
Joyce attended local schools including Trott Vocational High School, Kelly’s Business Institute and Niagara County Community College.
Joyce married her beloved husband, Ralph A. Mauro, on February 14, 1953 at St. Joseph Church. Mr. Mauro predeceased her on January 25, 1973. She was employed as a hostess for many years at John’s Flaming Hearth, Schraff’s and Hotel Niagara. She also worked in the deli department and in customer services at Tops International in Niagara Falls until her retirement in 2008.
Joyce was a longtime member of the American Legion Auxiliary in North Tonawanda and the Bergholz Ladies Auxillary.  She enjoyed going out for dinner with family and friends, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Mrs. Mauro is survived by her children, Shawn (Patrick) Nigh, Jeri Lynn (George) Bartha, Ralph R. Mauro, and was predeceased by one son, Anthony “Butch” J. Mauro.  She is also survived by her grandchildren, Erica (Walker Michaud) Carbone, Joseph (Brittany) Nigh, Jamie (Nick) Stevens, Vincent (fiance Michaela Kowalick) Bartha, Marisa, Toni-Marie and Anthony Mauro; her great-grandchildren, Isabella Domenique, Lucia Savannah, Jaxson Wade and Allina Marie; her brother, Michael H. “Bud” (Jean) Augustino, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.  Joyce was also predeceased by her sister, Linda Augustino-Rafferty.
Joyce’s Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 25th at Noon in St. Vincent De Paul Parish at Prince of Peace Church, 1055 N. Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY.  Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family. Michael H. Augustino, 90, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 7, 2024 in Hancock, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late Joseph and Violet (Coleman) Augustino; and the beloved husband of Jean A. (Kalista) Augustino.
Michael graduated from Bishop Duffy High School and attended Fork Union Military Academy where he was a standout on the Varsity Football team. He later obtained his Associate’s degree from the University in Buffalo in Commercial Art.
Michael began his extensive art and printing career with Moore Business Forms at locations in Niagara Falls and New York City for over 11 years as a Forms Analyst. He also worked as a free-lance Forms Commercial Artist in New York City for several years. Upon moving back to Western New York, Michael owned and operated Press 3 Inc. in Buffalo, NY for 31 years until his retirement.  In addition to his printing company, he also owned rental property throughout the area. 
Michael was a longtime member of the Buffalo Lions Club, Buffalo Rotary Club and Buffalo Kiwanis Club. He was also a dedicated member of the Printing House Craftsman’s Club of Buffalo and loved coaching youth football and softball. Aside from being a talented Artist, Michael was also very mechanically inclined and enjoyed tinkering with just about anything. He had a great love for the outdoors and was an avid fan of the Buffalo Bills. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his family.
In addition to his wife, Jean, Mr. Augustino is survived by his children, Dr. Michael (Dana) Augustino, Cheryl (Joseph) Furlong, Joseph (Jennifer) Augustino, Kalista (James) Cozza, Kathryn (Michael) Edwards and was sadly predeceased by his daughter, Laurel (Marc) Czerwinski. Mr. Augustino is also survived by 21 beloved grandchildren and 13 cherished great-grandchildren. He was also predeceased by his sisters, Joyce (late Ralph) Mauro and Linda (Tim) Rafferty.
Visitation will be held Saturday, April 13 from 9:30 – 11:15 AM at M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin at 11:15 AM, followed by Michael’s Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon in St. Leo’s Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. Linda (Burmaz) Augustino-Rafferty, 67, of Town of Niagara, NY entered into her new life on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph D. and Violet (Coleman) Augustino.
Linda attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School and Niagara County Community College. A true entrepreneur, Linda operated her own business as a cosmetic consultant for over forty years, representing many cosmetic corporations, including Lady Finelle and Fashion 220. In addition to her strong work ethic, Linda was also devoted to her church, Destiny Christian Church in Niagara Falls, where she was involved with their Angels of Mercy and Alpha programs. Among her many professional and community involvements, she was a long time member and served in many officer positions with the American Business Women's Association (ABWA); a member of the Operation Pride in Progress Committee in Niagara Falls, a member of the Niagara County Republican Party and also served as an election worker. In her leisure she enjoyed making wedding and special occasion cakes and cookies, flower arrangements and wreaths, and many other creative arts and crafts projects.
Linda is survived by her husband of sixteen years, Timothy P. Rafferty, Sr.; two daughters, Lisamarie Burmaz of Niagara Falls, NY and Dina (Burmaz) Young of Warwick, RI; grandson, Zachary Young; Tim's children, Timothy (Barbara) Rafferty, Jr. and Corrinna (Danny) Rhinehardt, both of Niagara Falls, NY and Jill (Doug) Obrochta of Cohocton, NY; thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; a brother, Michael "Buddy" (Jean) Augustino of Williamsville, NY; a sister, Joyce (late Ralph) Mauro of Niagara Falls, NY; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Visitation on Wednesday from 2-8 PM at M.J.
