    NIAGARA FALLS — Gail Frances Luick, of Niagara Falls, died on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 in Absolut of Aurora Health Care Facility. She was 79. She was born in Bradford, PA on March 2, 1934, the daughter of Francis and Mary (Lyons) Spencer. She moved to Niagara Falls as a child, attending schools here and graduating from the former LaSalle Jr./Sr. High School.

    A very down to earth person, she loved being with people and enjoyed the occasional jigsaw and crossword puzzles.

    Survivors include five children, Donna Hubbard (late Mike) of Houston; Richard Luick of CA; Susan Walker (Thomas) of Youngstown; Carol Biro (Steve) of Niagara Falls, Ont., and Christopher Luick of Niagara Falls; a sister, Raye Holka of Lockport; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Luick and siblings, Joyce Mayne and Mary Adams.

    Friends may call Sunday after 4 PM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, where funeral services will be held at 7 PM. The interment will be private in Acacia Park Cemetery, Pendleton.

    LEWISTON — Joyce Mayne, age 75, of Lewiston, died, unexpectedly, on Sunday, March 20, 2011, in the Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo.

    Joyce was born November 21, 1935 in Bradford, PA, the daughter of the late Francis and Mary (Lyons) Spencer and was a 1953 graduate of LaSalle High School. She married William G. Mayne, Jr. on August 28, 1954, and had resided in Lewiston the past 43 years. William predeceased her on July 26, 2007, after 53 years of marriage.

    Joyce was a member of the Lewiston Service Guild. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her weekly dinner group of friends. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

    She is survived by her daughters, Joanne (Dana) Green of Manlius, NY and Pamela Mayne (David Paulson) of St. Augustine, FL; her grandchildren, Dana Greene III, Alison Greene, Johnette Kraft, Kim Lane and Pam Grandizo; her sisters, Mary Adams of Niagara Falls, NY, Gail Luik of the Town of Wheatfield and Raye Holka of Lockport; and several nieces and nephews.

    Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Streets, Lewiston, on Friday, March 25 from 2 to 4 PM. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.     NIAGARA FALLS — Mary L. (Spencer) Adams, of Niagara Falls, passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2012, after a lengthy illness. She was 73. She was born in Bradford, PA on March 22, 1939, a daughter of the late Francis and Mary Spencer.

    Mrs. Adams moved to Niagara Falls as a child and attended local schools. She married Gordon Adams in 1963, and they were happily married for almost 50 years until her passing.

    She was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses on River Road. She enjoyed word puzzles and her time with her family and friends, and loved her visits to the Kingdom Hall.

    In addition to her husband, she is survived by seven children, Cheryl (Darryl) Kroening of Bergholz, Linda Garland of North Tonawanda, Jeri Garland of Niagara Falls, David Garland of Buffalo, Mary K. Geschwender, Janie Hickok and Kelly Adams, all of Niagara Falls. She is also survived by her siblings, Gail Luick, Raye Holka; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister, Joyce (late Bill) Mayne.
