Ann J. (Majchrzak) Wojton, 102, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at Northgate Health Care Facility. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on January 31, 1918 she was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Waclawek) Majchrzak. She is survived by her children, Carol (late Kermit) Haseley and Robert Wojton; grandchildren, Robert (Shreen) Wojton, Cindi (David)Malinowski, Laurie (Ron) Jeacoma and David (Cristina)Wojton; great-grandchildren, Courtney, Chad, Alyssa, Kailie, Portia, Phoenix, Fauna, Pierce, Aleks and Hannah. NIAGARA FALLS — Rita A. (Gilbert) Argy, 67, a patient sufferer of health issues over a number of years, went home to be with our Lord by the hand of God on eagle’s wings on October 21, 2011. Born November 12, 1943 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Julia (Majchrzak) Gilbert and attended local schools. Rita was a sweet and gentle person who would give anyone the shirt of her back. God and family were the center of her life and no picnic was quite complete without Rita’s loving touches, from perked coffee to whip cream on apple pie. Rita taught religious education, was a church counselor and choir member. Along with her husband, she was also a member of Divine Mercy Parish and the co-chair of Catholic Charities at Our Lady of the Rosary Church for over 30 years, and she collected on behalf of the March of Dimes. Rita and her husband received the St. Joseph the Worker Award from the church diocese of Buffalo. She also enjoyed making ceramic Christmas trees and crib sets, which she gave to others; gardening and Danish needle painting. Rita had a love for family gatherings - there was only one place for Christmas and that was Rita, Fran’s and Julie’s home.

She is survived by her loving husband, Francis Argy; her loving sister and brothers, Patricia Gilbert, Richard (Kathleen) Gilbert and Ronald Gilbert; nephews, Michael, Peter, John and Thomas Gilbert; nieces, Michelle Talley, Pamela Jacoy, Jane DelGrudico and Julie Gilbert; sister-in-law, Bernadette (Larry) D’Aurelio; aunts, Ann Wojton and Stella Chmelarski; also many dear cousins. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Edward (Marsha) Gilbert and Frederick Gilbert.

Marilyn Catherine Majchrzak passed peacefully into the hands of the Lord on February 24, 2020, in Miami FL. Marilyn was born in Niagara Falls on February 2, 1949 to Jessie (Niedzwiecki) and Stanley Majchrzak. Marilyn grew up in the warmth of the local Polish community filled with cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends, and imbued with devotion to the Catholic Faith. After attending local Catholic schools, Marilyn received Dietetics and Nutrition degrees at Rosary Hill College and Penn State. She moved to Tucson AZ to begin her first job, providing nutrition services to young families through the WIC program. This began a lifelong career devoted to helping people understand the value that healthy and real food plays in human health and wellness. Marilyn felt incredibly blessed and fulfilled in her work, which ranged from developing nutrition programs for people with disabilities, to improving the nutritional quality of canned meat products at Armour foods, to running the nutrition program at Canyon Ranch's Tucson and other locations. She retired from Canyon Ranch in 2017 after 28 years, and spent the last three years dividing her time between her home in Tucson, visiting and traveling with friends or family, and the Miami home of her cousin Linda and husband Gary Keller. Marilyn loved traveling, gardening, international culinary adventures and her contemplative prayer practice. But most of all she loved her people: the extended family and numerous dear friends with whom she was honored and grateful to share her life, her gentle spirit, and her love of food. Those whose lives she has enriched are many, and include 14 surviving cousins, including Carol Haseley; Bob Wojton; Laurie (Ken) Albrecht; Pat and Dick Gilbert; Linda (Gary) Keller; and Maryanne Carson; many nieces and nephews; and a small village of cherished friends, among them Cindi & Rich Ervin, Gypsy & David Lyle, Marguerite Edwards, Laura Keen, and Nancy Comer. A Celebration of Life Mass will be held at Divine Mercy Church at 10am on September 12, 2020, Father Jacek Mazur officiating. Interment will be at Holy Trinity Cemetery. NIAGARA FALLS — Rita A. (Gilbert) Argy, 67, a patient sufferer of health issues over a number of years, went home to be with our Lord by the hand of God on eagle’s wings on October 21, 2011. Born November 12, 1943 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Julia (Majchrzak) Gilbert and attended local schools. Rita was a sweet and gentle person who would give anyone the shirt of her back. God and family were the center of her life and no picnic was quite complete without Rita’s loving touches, from perked coffee to whip cream on apple pie. Rita taught religious education, was a church counselor and choir member. Along with her husband, she was also a member of Divine Mercy Parish and the co-chair of Catholic Charities at Our Lady of the Rosary Church for over 30 years, and she collected on behalf of the March of Dimes. Rita and her husband received the St. Joseph the Worker Award from the church diocese of Buffalo. She also enjoyed making ceramic Christmas trees and crib sets, which she gave to others; gardening and Danish needle painting. Rita had a love for family gatherings - there was only one place for Christmas and that was Rita, Fran’s and Julie’s home.

She is survived by her loving husband, Francis Argy; her loving sister and brothers, Patricia Gilbert, Richard (Kathleen) Gilbert and Ronald Gilbert; nephews, Michael, Peter, John and Thomas Gilbert; nieces, Michelle Talley, Pamela Jacoy, Jane DelGrudico and Julie Gilbert; sister-in-law, Bernadette (Larry) D’Aurelio; aunts, Ann Wojton and Stella Chmelarski; also many dear cousins. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Edward (Marsha) Gilbert and Frederick Gilbert.

Marilyn Catherine Majchrzak passed peacefully into the hands of the Lord on February 24, 2020, in Miami FL. Marilyn was born in Niagara Falls on February 2, 1949 to Jessie (Niedzwiecki) and Stanley Majchrzak. Marilyn grew up in the warmth of the local Polish community filled with cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends, and imbued with devotion to the Catholic Faith. After attending local Catholic schools, Marilyn received Dietetics and Nutrition degrees at Rosary Hill College and Penn State. She moved to Tucson AZ to begin her first job, providing nutrition services to young families through the WIC program. This began a lifelong career devoted to helping people understand the value that healthy and real food plays in human health and wellness. Marilyn felt incredibly blessed and fulfilled in her work, which ranged from developing nutrition programs for people with disabilities, to improving the nutritional quality of canned meat products at Armour foods, to running the nutrition program at Canyon Ranch's Tucson and other locations. She retired from Canyon Ranch in 2017 after 28 years, and spent the last three years dividing her time between her home in Tucson, visiting and traveling with friends or family, and the Miami home of her cousin Linda and husband Gary Keller. Marilyn loved traveling, gardening, international culinary adventures and her contemplative prayer practice. But most of all she loved her people: the extended family and numerous dear friends with whom she was honored and grateful to share her life, her gentle spirit, and her love of food. Those whose lives she has enriched are many, and include 14 surviving cousins, including Carol Haseley; Bob Wojton; Laurie (Ken) Albrecht; Pat and Dick Gilbert; Linda (Gary) Keller; and Maryanne Carson; many nieces and nephews; and a small village of cherished friends, among them Cindi & Rich Ervin, Gypsy & David Lyle, Marguerite Edwards, Laura Keen, and Nancy Comer. A Celebration of Life Mass will be held at Divine Mercy Church at 10am on September 12, 2020, Father Jacek Mazur officiating. Interment will be at Holy Trinity Cemetery. Marilyn Catherine Majchrzak passed peacefully into the hands of the Lord on February 24, 2020, in Miami FL. Marilyn was born in Niagara Falls on February 2, 1949 to Jessie (Niedzwiecki) and Stanley Majchrzak. Marilyn grew up in the warmth of the local Polish community filled with cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends, and imbued with devotion to the Catholic Faith. After attending local Catholic schools, Marilyn received Dietetics and Nutrition degrees at Rosary Hill College and Penn State. She moved to Tucson AZ to begin her first job, providing nutrition services to young families through the WIC program. This began a lifelong career devoted to helping people understand the value that healthy and real food plays in human health and wellness. Marilyn felt incredibly blessed and fulfilled in her work, which ranged from developing nutrition programs for people with disabilities, to improving the nutritional quality of canned meat products at Armour foods, to running the nutrition program at Canyon Ranch's Tucson and other locations. She retired from Canyon Ranch in 2017 after 28 years, and spent the last three years dividing her time between her home in Tucson, visiting and traveling with friends or family, and the Miami home of her cousin Linda and husband Gary Keller. Marilyn loved traveling, gardening, international culinary adventures and her contemplative prayer practice. But most of all she loved her people: the extended family and numerous dear friends with whom she was honored and grateful to share her life, her gentle spirit, and her love of food. Those whose lives she has enriched are many, and include 14 surviving cousins, including Carol Haseley; Bob Wojton; Laurie (Ken) Albrecht; Pat and Dick Gilbert; Linda (Gary) Keller; and Maryanne Carson; many nieces and nephews; and a small village of cherished friends, among them Cindi & Rich Ervin, Gypsy & David Lyle, Marguerite Edwards, Laura Keen, and Nancy Comer. NIAGARA FALLS — Rita A. (Gilbert) Argy, 67, a patient sufferer of health issues over a number of years, went home to be with our Lord by the hand of God on eagle’s wings on October 21, 2011. Born November 12, 1943 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Julia (Majchrzak) Gilbert and attended local schools. Rita was a sweet and gentle person who would give anyone the shirt of her back. God and family were the center of her life and no picnic was quite complete without Rita’s loving touches, from perked coffee to whip cream on apple pie. Rita taught religious education, was a church counselor and choir member. Along with her husband, she was also a member of Divine Mercy Parish and the co-chair of Catholic Charities at Our Lady of the Rosary Church for over 30 years, and she collected on behalf of the March of Dimes. Rita and her husband received the St. Joseph the Worker Award from the church diocese of Buffalo. She also enjoyed making ceramic Christmas trees and crib sets, which she gave to others; gardening and Danish needle painting. Rita had a love for family gatherings - there was only one place for Christmas and that was Rita, Fran’s and Julie’s home.

She is survived by her loving husband, Francis Argy; her loving sister and brothers, Patricia Gilbert, Richard (Kathleen) Gilbert and Ronald Gilbert; nephews, Michael, Peter, John and Thomas Gilbert; nieces, Michelle Talley, Pamela Jacoy, Jane DelGrudico and Julie Gilbert; sister-in-law, Bernadette (Larry) D’Aurelio; aunts, Ann Wojton and Stella Chmelarski; also many dear cousins. NIAGARA FALLS — Rita A. (Gilbert) Argy, 67, a patient sufferer of health issues over a number of years, went home to be with our Lord by the hand of God on eagle’s wings on October 21, 2011. Born November 12, 1943 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Julia (Majchrzak) Gilbert and attended local schools. Rita was a sweet and gentle person who would give anyone the shirt of her back. God and family were the center of her life and no picnic was quite complete without Rita’s loving touches, from perked coffee to whip cream on apple pie. Rita taught religious education, was a church counselor and choir member. Along with her husband, she was also a member of Divine Mercy Parish and the co-chair of Catholic Charities at Our Lady of the Rosary Church for over 30 years, and she collected on behalf of the March of Dimes. Rita and her husband received the St. Joseph the Worker Award from the church diocese of Buffalo. She also enjoyed making ceramic Christmas trees and crib sets, which she gave to others; gardening and Danish needle painting. Rita had a love for family gatherings - there was only one place for Christmas and that was Rita, Fran’s and Julie’s home.

She is survived by her loving husband, Francis Argy; her loving sister and brothers, Patricia Gilbert, Richard (Kathleen) Gilbert and Ronald Gilbert; nephews, Michael, Peter, John and Thomas Gilbert; nieces, Michelle Talley, Pamela Jacoy, Jane DelGrudico and Julie Gilbert; sister-in-law, Bernadette (Larry) D’Aurelio; aunts, Ann Wojton and Stella Chmelarski; also many dear cousins. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Edward (Marsha) Gilbert and Frederick Gilbert.

Marilyn Catherine Majchrzak passed peacefully into the hands of the Lord on February 24, 2020, in Miami FL. Marilyn was born in Niagara Falls on February 2, 1949 to Jessie (Niedzwiecki) and Stanley Majchrzak. Marilyn grew up in the warmth of the local Polish community filled with cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends, and imbued with devotion to the Catholic Faith. After attending local Catholic schools, Marilyn received Dietetics and Nutrition degrees at Rosary Hill College and Penn State. She moved to Tucson AZ to begin her first job, providing nutrition services to young families through the WIC program. This began a lifelong career devoted to helping people understand the value that healthy and real food plays in human health and wellness. Marilyn felt incredibly blessed and fulfilled in her work, which ranged from developing nutrition programs for people with disabilities, to improving the nutritional quality of canned meat products at Armour foods, to running the nutrition program at Canyon Ranch's Tucson and other locations. She retired from Canyon Ranch in 2017 after 28 years, and spent the last three years dividing her time between her home in Tucson, visiting and traveling with friends or family, and the Miami home of her cousin Linda and husband Gary Keller. Marilyn loved traveling, gardening, international culinary adventures and her contemplative prayer practice. But most of all she loved her people: the extended family and numerous dear friends with whom she was honored and grateful to share her life, her gentle spirit, and her love of food. Those whose lives she has enriched are many, and include 14 surviving cousins, including Carol Haseley; Bob Wojton; Laurie (Ken) Albrecht; Pat and Dick Gilbert; Linda (Gary) Keller; and Maryanne Carson; many nieces and nephews; and a small village of cherished friends, among them Cindi & Rich Ervin, Gypsy & David Lyle, Marguerite Edwards, Laura Keen, and Nancy Comer. A Celebration of Life Mass will be held at Divine Mercy Church at 10am on September 12, 2020, Father Jacek Mazur officiating. Interment will be at Holy Trinity Cemetery. NIAGARA FALLS — Rita A. (Gilbert) Argy, 67, a patient sufferer of health issues over a number of years, went home to be with our Lord by the hand of God on eagle’s wings on October 21, 2011. Born November 12, 1943 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Julia (Majchrzak) Gilbert and attended local schools. Rita was a sweet and gentle person who would give anyone the shirt of her back. God and family were the center of her life and no picnic was quite complete without Rita’s loving touches, from perked coffee to whip cream on apple pie. Rita taught religious education, was a church counselor and choir member. Along with her husband, she was also a member of Divine Mercy Parish and the co-chair of Catholic Charities at Our Lady of the Rosary Church for over 30 years, and she collected on behalf of the March of Dimes. Rita and her husband received the St. Joseph the Worker Award from the church diocese of Buffalo. She also enjoyed making ceramic Christmas trees and crib sets, which she gave to others; gardening and Danish needle painting. Rita had a love for family gatherings - there was only one place for Christmas and that was Rita, Fran’s and Julie’s home.

She is survived by her loving husband, Francis Argy; her loving sister and brothers, Patricia Gilbert, Richard (Kathleen) Gilbert and Ronald Gilbert; nephews, Michael, Peter, John and Thomas Gilbert; nieces, Michelle Talley, Pamela Jacoy, Jane DelGrudico and Julie Gilbert; sister-in-law, Bernadette (Larry) D’Aurelio; aunts, Ann Wojton and Stella Chmelarski; also many dear cousins. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Edward (Marsha) Gilbert and Frederick Gilbert.

Marilyn Catherine Majchrzak passed peacefully into the hands of the Lord on February 24, 2020, in Miami FL. Marilyn was born in Niagara Falls on February 2, 1949 to Jessie (Niedzwiecki) and Stanley Majchrzak. Marilyn grew up in the warmth of the local Polish community filled with cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends, and imbued with devotion to the Catholic Faith. After attending local Catholic schools, Marilyn received Dietetics and Nutrition degrees at Rosary Hill College and Penn State. She moved to Tucson AZ to begin her first job, providing nutrition services to young families through the WIC program. This began a lifelong career devoted to helping people understand the value that healthy and real food plays in human health and wellness. Marilyn felt incredibly blessed and fulfilled in her work, which ranged from developing nutrition programs for people with disabilities, to improving the nutritional quality of canned meat products at Armour foods, to running the nutrition program at Canyon Ranch's Tucson and other locations. She retired from Canyon Ranch in 2017 after 28 years, and spent the last three years dividing her time between her home in Tucson, visiting and traveling with friends or family, and the Miami home of her cousin Linda and husband Gary Keller. Marilyn loved traveling, gardening, international culinary adventures and her contemplative prayer practice. But most of all she loved her people: the extended family and numerous dear friends with whom she was honored and grateful to share her life, her gentle spirit, and her love of food. NIAGARA FALLS — Rita A. (Gilbert) Argy, 67, a patient sufferer of health issues over a number of years, went home to be with our Lord by the hand of God on eagle’s wings on October 21, 2011. Born November 12, 1943 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Julia (Majchrzak) Gilbert and attended local schools. Rita was a sweet and gentle person who would give anyone the shirt of her back. God and family were the center of her life and no picnic was quite complete without Rita’s loving touches, from perked coffee to whip cream on apple pie. Rita taught religious education, was a church counselor and choir member. Along with her husband, she was also a member of Divine Mercy Parish and the co-chair of Catholic Charities at Our Lady of the Rosary Church for over 30 years, and she collected on behalf of the March of Dimes. Rita and her husband received the St. Joseph the Worker Award from the church diocese of Buffalo. She also enjoyed making ceramic Christmas trees and crib sets, which she gave to others; gardening and Danish needle painting. Rita had a love for family gatherings - there was only one place for Christmas and that was Rita, Fran’s and Julie’s home.

She is survived by her loving husband, Francis Argy; her loving sister and brothers, Patricia Gilbert, Richard (Kathleen) Gilbert and Ronald Gilbert; nephews, Michael, Peter, John and Thomas Gilbert; nieces, Michelle Talley, Pamela Jacoy, Jane DelGrudico and Julie Gilbert; sister-in-law, Bernadette (Larry) D’Aurelio; aunts, Ann Wojton and Stella Chmelarski; also many dear cousins. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Edward (Marsha) Gilbert and Frederick Gilbert.

Friends may call Tuesday, October 25, 2011 from 4-8 PM at ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME, INC., 319- 24th St., cor. Obituary of Marilyn C. Majchrzak
Marilyn Catherine Majchrzak passed peacefully into the hands of the Lord on February 24, 2020, in Miami FL. Marilyn was born in Niagara Falls on February 2, 1949 to Jessie (Niedzwiecki) and Stanley Majchrzak. Marilyn grew up in the warmth of the local Polish community filled with cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends, and imbued with devotion to the Catholic Faith. After attending local Catholic schools, Marilyn received Dietetics and Nutrition degrees at Rosary Hill College and Penn State. She moved to Tucson AZ to begin her first job, providing nutrition services to young families through the WIC program. This began a lifelong career devoted to helping people understand the value that healthy and real food plays in human health and wellness. Marilyn felt incredibly blessed and fulfilled in her work, which ranged from developing nutrition programs for people with disabilities, to improving the nutritional quality of canned meat products at Armour foods, to running the nutrition program at Canyon Ranch's Tucson and other locations. She retired from Canyon Ranch in 2017 after 28 years, and spent the last three years dividing her time between her home in Tucson, visiting and traveling with friends or family, and the Miami home of her cousin Linda and husband Gary Keller. Marilyn loved traveling, gardening, international culinary adventures and her contemplative prayer practice. But most of all she loved her people: the extended family and numerous dear friends with whom she was honored and grateful to share her life, her gentle spirit, and her love of food. Those whose lives she has enriched are many, and include 14 surviving cousins, including Carol Haseley; Bob Wojton; Laurie (Ken) Albrecht; Pat and Dick Gilbert; Linda (Gary) Keller; and Maryanne Carson; many nieces and nephews; and a small village of cherished friends, among them Cindi & Rich Ervin, Gypsy & David Lyle, Marguerite Edwards, Laura Keen, and Nancy Comer. A Celebration of Life Mass will be held at Divine Mercy Church at 10am on September 12, 2020, Father Jacek Mazur officiating. Interment will be at Holy Trinity Cemetery. She is survived by her loving husband, Francis Argy; her loving sister and brothers, Patricia Gilbert, Richard (Kathleen) Gilbert and Ronald Gilbert; nephews, Michael, Peter, John and Thomas Gilbert; nieces, Michelle Talley, Pamela Jacoy, Jane DelGrudico and Julie Gilbert; sister-in-law, Bernadette (Larry) D’Aurelio; aunts, Ann Wojton and Stella Chmelarski; also many dear cousins. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Edward (Marsha) Gilbert and Frederick Gilbert.

Obituary of Marilyn C. Majchrzak
Marilyn Catherine Majchrzak passed peacefully into the hands of the Lord on February 24, 2020, in Miami FL. Marilyn was born in Niagara Falls on February 2, 1949 to Jessie (Niedzwiecki) and Stanley Majchrzak. Marilyn grew up in the warmth of the local Polish community filled with cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends, and imbued with devotion to the Catholic Faith. After attending local Catholic schools, Marilyn received Dietetics and Nutrition degrees at Rosary Hill College and Penn State. She moved to Tucson AZ to begin her first job, providing nutrition services to young families through the WIC program. This began a lifelong career devoted to helping people understand the value that healthy and real food plays in human health and wellness. Marilyn felt incredibly blessed and fulfilled in her work, which ranged from developing nutrition programs for people with disabilities, to improving the nutritional quality of canned meat products at Armour foods, to running the nutrition program at Canyon Ranch's Tucson and other locations. She retired from Canyon Ranch in 2017 after 28 years, and spent the last three years dividing her time between her home in Tucson, visiting and traveling with friends or family, and the Miami home of her cousin Linda and husband Gary Keller. Marilyn loved traveling, gardening, international culinary adventures and her contemplative prayer practice. But most of all she loved her people: the extended family and numerous dear friends with whom she was honored and grateful to share her life, her gentle spirit, and her love of food. Those whose lives she has enriched are many, and include 14 surviving cousins, including Carol Haseley; Bob Wojton; Laurie (Ken) Albrecht; Pat and Dick Gilbert; Linda (Gary) Keller; and Maryanne Carson; many nieces and nephews; and a small village of cherished friends, among them Cindi & Rich Ervin, Gypsy & David Lyle, Marguerite Edwards, Laura Keen, and Nancy Comer. A Celebration of Life Mass will be held at Divine Mercy Church at 10am on September 12, 2020, Father Jacek Mazur officiating. Interment will be at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
