NORTH TONAWANDA - Feb. 3 - Rites will be held Thursday afternoon for Mrs. Fredericka Joerg, 79 years old, a life-long resident of the Tonawandas. The services will take place at the home of Mrs. Warren Olcott, a daughter, 452 Adam street, at 3:30 o'clock. Rev. Harold Kelleran of the S. Mark's Episcopal church will officiate and burial will be in Elmlawn. Mrs. Joerg leaves three daughters, Mrs. Fredericka Dawson, Mrs. Ida Roy and Mrs. Olcott; four sons, William, Lewiston, and Frank, Andrew, and Arthur, North Tonawanda, and 10 grandchildren.

Bertha Andrees, 72 years old, wife
of the late Henry Andrees, died sud-
denly this morning at hr home in
the Whitfield road.
She is survived by two sons, Wil-
liam of Ransomville, and Edward, of
Niagara Falls; five daughters, Mrs.
George Burmaster and Mrs. Fred
Rader, both of this village, Mrs. Vic-
tor Sattleberg. of North Tonawanda.
Mrs. Marvin Voelker, of Niagara Falls,

Ridge. Mrs. Andrees was one of the
most beloved women of the vicinity.
She was well known at Niagara Falls
and North Tonawanda.

and at 2:30 from St. Peter's church

in North Ridge cemetery.

Mrs. Anna Proefrock, 78, died last evening in her residence, 100 Felton St., after a long illness. She was a lifelong resident of North Tonawanda, and a member of the St. Peter’s Evangelical and Reformed Church and its Ladies’ Aid Society. Surviving are her husband, Charles; two granddaughters, Mrs. Roland Stubbs and Mrs. Elmer H. Holrod, and three great grandchildren. NORTH TONAWANDA, May 26 - Andrew J. Joerg, Jr., 62, died yesterday at his home, 24* Jackson Ave.,after a long illness. A lifelong resident, Mr. Joerg served two terms as alderman. He was a member of Sutherland Lodge 826, F. and A. M. and the Buffalo Underwriters association. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Frances Howe Joerg; two daughters, Miss Marjory Joerg and Mrs. Edward Fischer; two grandchildren; a brother, Frank C. Joerg, and three sisters, Mrs. Brooks Dawson, Mrs. Ida Roy and Mrs. Warren Olcott, all of the Tonawandas. Sad Death of Popular North Tonawanda Young Woman Occured this Morning at Home of Her Parents in Main Street -Sister Seriously Ill. Miss Olga Joerg, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Joerg of Main street, passed away at her home this morning after an illness of scarcely two weeks. Typhoid fever was the cause of the young woman's death. Miss Joerg was one of the most widely known young women in North Tonawanda, and was very popular with all who knew her. The news of her sad death will be a shock to a large circle of friends. She was considered out of danger until an hour before the end came. Miss Vena(sic) Joerg, a younger sister of Miss Olga, is seriously ill at her parents' home, and grave fears are entertained for her recovery.

death, of. Mrs. Ida Burmaster. 68.
formerly of North Lake street, which
occurred yesterday at the home of
her son, Kenneth Burmaster, at Oak
Ridge, Tenn. Mrs. Burmaster spent
a part of each year visiting her son
and part with relatives in Ransom-
ville. She was the widow of George
Burmaster.
Mrs. Burmaster was born in Ton-

Evangelical church, North Ridge,
and the Ladies Auxiliary of the

Edward F. Andrees, 83, of 558 Third St., died Monday (July 6, 1970) at Memorial Medical Center after a two week illness. Mr. Andrees was a retired Aluminum Corporation of America employe and more recently had been a self employed painter. He was born December 8, 1886 in the Town of Wheatfield, the son of Henry and Bertha Andrees. He had lived in this city for about 50 years. He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Victor Sattelburg of Oxnard, Calif. and Mrs. Marvin Voelker and Mrs. Wyland Hallock, both of this city, and several nieces and nephews. Local Man Dies At Wheel of Auto
Stricken with a heart attack while driving his automobile home from work at the Electro-Metallurgical company in Niagara Falls at 2 a. m. today, Carl F. Proefrock, 53, of 98 Felton street, was found slumped over the wheel of his car on the River road in the LaSalle section of the Falls, lifeless.
Coroner James Heary of Niagara Falls investigated and issued a certificate of death from a heart ailment. Proefrock had been under the care of a local physician for some time.
Proefrock was a lifelong resident and member of St. Peter's church on Oliver street and Sutherland Lodge, No. 826, F.&A.M.
He is survived by his wife, Amanda A., nee Kowsky; two daughters, Mrs. Rowland E. Stubbs and Mrs. Elmer H. Holrod; three grandchildren and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Proefrock, all of North Tonawanda.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. from the residence with the Rev. J. J. Braun officiating. Burial will be in Friedens cemetery.

ORCHARD PARK — Ruth J. (nee Joerg) Anderson, age 84, of North Tonawanda, June 13, 2010 at Absolut Care of Orchard Park. A resident of North Tonawanda for the greater part of her life, she was a 1943 graduate of North Tonawanda High School and received her Bachelor of Education from Buffalo State Teacher’s College in 1947. Ruth began her teaching career at Fletcher Elementary School in Tonawanda in 1947. She continued teaching at Pine Woods Elementary School in North Tonawanda in 1956, and also Gilmore Elementary School in 1966, retiring from teaching in 1970. Following her retirement, Ruth was employed by Cramer Industrial Supplies in North Tonawanda for 10 years until 1982. She was an active member of Salem United Church of Christ, serving on the church council, assisting at worship services, Sunday School teacher, church Elder and usher. She was a former President and Secretary of Kiwani-Annes of Buffalo and a Life Member of Buffalo State Teachers Alumni.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Allen O. Anderson; two sons, Roy D. (Sharon) Anderson of Barker, NY, and David J. Anderson of the Town of Wheatfield; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Matilda Joerg; and sister of the late Betty Meyers, Arthur and Richard Joerg.

There was no prior visitation. A private interment in White Chapel Memorial Park. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service Wednesday, August 18th at 11 AM in Salem United Church of Christ, 114 Morgan St., in Tonawanda. The Rev. John L. Tipton will officiate. NORTH TONAWANDA — Helene A. Stubbs passed away peacefully at Northgate Health Care Facility on January 20, 2011, at the age of 94. She was born April 22, 1916 in North Tonawanda, daughter of the late Carl and Amanda Proefrock.

Mrs. Stubbs worked as a telephone operator until it was time to raise her children. She had worked for over twenty years as the assistant box office manager at Melody Fair. Mrs. Stubbs was a lifetime member of the North Tonawanda PTA starting as a member of the Wurlitzer PTA. She was a member of Rescue Fire Company Auxiliary for over 50 years, member of the North Tonawanda Youth Board for 12 years including several years as its chairman, long time volunteer at DeGraff Memorial Hospital Pediatrics Ward having over 7000 hours of service.

Wife of the late Roland E. Stubbs; mother of David (Edna) Stubbs and the late Barbara (James) Frase; grandmother of Kevin Stubbs, Darlene Stubbs, Jon (Laura) Frase, Jeanine (Thomas) Olsen and Steven Frase; great-grandmother of Jonathan Burdette, Charles Baudendistle, Amanda, Timothy and Mark Frase.

LEWISTON — Daniel F. Meyers, age 60, of Lewiston, died on Saturday, December 31, 2011 in Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, after a brief illness. Daniel was born January 16, 1951 in Buffalo, the son of the late Frank and Betty (Joerg) Meyers, and was raised in North Tonawanda, where he graduated from North Tonawanda High School in 1969. He married Joan M. Haungs on December 17, 1971.

A Veteran of the Vietnam War, Daniel served in the U.S. Air Force from 1970 to 1974. He entered the U.S. Army Reserves and was called to active duty for Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm. He retired from the Army Reserves with the rank of Major.

Daniel graduated from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio and received his Masters Degree in Health Management from the University of Buffalo. Since 2005, he has been a Medical Computer Consultant for Max IT, Inc. Previous to that, Daniel had worked as a Laboratory Manager for several area Buffalo Hospitals. Daniel enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Joan; his children, Jennifer (Eric) Hardman of Burke, VA, Jeffrey (Christina) Meyers and James Meyers, both of Niagara Falls, NY; his grandchildren, Steven, Samantha, and Seth Meyers, Kaylynn, Alaina, and Tyler Hardman; a brother, Thomas (Kathy) Meyers of Dublin, OH; a brother-in-law, John (Sally) Haungs of Rochester, NY; and his nieces and nephews, Scott and Kristen Haungs, Paige and Drew Meyers.

Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Sts., Lewiston on Wednesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. Funeral Services and Military Honors will be held Thursday, January 5th at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Flowers are gratefully declined. David R. Stubbs, age 79 of Ransomville, died Saturday June 1, 2019 in the Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital.
David was born November 11, 1939 in North Tonawanda, the son of the late Rowland and Helene (Proefrock) Stubbs. He was a graduate of North Tonawanda. High School, attended Erie Community College, and received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Clarkson College before attending Cornell University. David was an Electrical Engineer for Bell Aerospace, and consulted with Lockheed Martin. He was also affiliated with the WNY Institute for Psychotherapy and worked seven years at Melody Fair in North Tonawanda. David was a caretaker at Camp Windy Meadows since 1993. David was an accomplished guitarist and a 30 year member of the Lockport Federation of Musicians.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Edna G. (Sherman) Stubbs, whom he married May 26, 1962; his children, Darlene L. Stubbs and Kevin D. Stubbs both of Ransomville; and his grandchildren, Jonathan L. Burnett and Charles Baudendistle (fiancé Rachel Dutton). He was predeceased by a sister, Barbara H. Frase.

Cindy M. Zuch, age 54, of Niagara Falls, Monday, July 14, 2014, after a lengthy illness. Cindy was the daughter of the late Howard and Marie (Niese) Zuch.
She was a graduate of Niagara Wheatfield High School. She was employed by ARC in Niagara Falls for several years. She enjoyed music and writing.
Dear sister of David (Christine) Zuch of the Town of Wheatfield and Daniel Zuch of Phoenix, AZ. Also survived by a nephew, Joshua Zuch; and a great-nephew, Jeremiah Zuch.
