J. Dennis, 79 years old, widow of
Morris Dennis, died this morning
at her home in Chestnut road, after
an illness of almost six years.
Until ill health prevented, Mrs.
Dennis was an active member of
the East Wilson Methodist church
and its organizations. She and her
husband celebrated their fiftyfourth
wedding anniversary' shortly
before his death four years ago.
He had been a successful farmer
here.
Mrs. Dennis is survived by one
son, Clayton Dennis, at home; four
daughters, Mrs. Chauncey Wright,
of Youngstown, N. Y„ Mrs. Robert
Hanson and Mrs. Donald. Linck,
both of Lockport, and Mrs. Paul
Kinsella, of Wilson, N. Y.; ten
grandchildren, two great grandchildren,

Funeral services will be held Wednesday
afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at

services for Lester J. Woods, who died
In a Lockport hospital on Saturday,
were held from his late home In the
Beebe road at 2:30 o'clock, D. S. T.,
on Tuesday afternoon with Rev.
Charles E. Titus, pastor of Warren's
Corners M. E. church officiating.
Burial was in the family plot in the
North Ridge cemetery.
The bearers, all nephews, were Wirt
Wakeman and Donald Parks, of
North Ridge; Clayton Dennis, of East

Falls, and Robert Lansom and Donald
Linck, of Lockport.
The deceased formerly lived in the
North Ridge road. He leaves two sisters

She was the wife of the late Emmett Wass, who died in 2006. Beloved mother of Dudley (Phyllis) Wass of Pendleton and Terry (Marlene) Wass of Dunbar, WV; grandmother of Timothy, Christina and Rebecca. She was the sister of the late Patrick Wright and Winifred Miller.

BUFFALO — Gerald I. “Gerry” Harris, 79, of Niagara Falls, NY, entered into rest, unexpectedly, on Monday, November 7, 2011, in Millard Fillmore Gates Circle Hospital in Buffalo, NY. Born on March 19, 1932 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Mildred (Parks) Harris.

Mr. Harris was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY and attended local schools. Gerry, as he was known by family and friends, served in the United States Air Force from April 30, 1952 until his honorable discharge on April 29, 1956. On September 6, 1952, he married the former Beverley E. Creekmore in the chapel of Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, TX. Mr. Harris worked as a production worker for Nabisco, until his retirement in 1993. Gerry was a member of Colonial Village Presbyterian Church.

In addition to his beloved wife of 59 years, Mr. Harris is survived by two children, Anne Harris Stamp of Gasport, NY and Stephen (Renee) Harris of Lewiston, NY; seven grandchildren, Derek (Lisa) Wisnieski of Niagara Falls, NY, Jessica Stamp of Lockport, NY, Kevin Stamp of Gasport, NY, Venessa Haley of Rochester, NY, Amelia Harris of Lewiston, NY, Jackson Harris of Lewiston, NY and Haleigh Harris of Zeeland, MI; four great-grandchildren, Brett Andrzejewski of Niagara Falls, NY, Eian Haley of Rochester, NY, Mikayla Karnyski of Lockport, NY and Jayden Rivera of Lockport, NY; and many step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Ronald C. Bement, of North Tonawanda, entered into eternal rest Thursday, March 12th, 2015 at the age of 85, suddenly at Buffalo General Hospital. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, Mr. Bement resided in North Tonawanda for the past fifty eight years. Mr Bement was a U.S. Army Veteran where he served in the Korean Conflict and was a member of AmVets Post 264. He was a retired employee of Dupont, Niagara Falls, after thirty years of service. Mr Bement enjoyed traveling with his late wife Geraldine to Myrtle Beach, was an avid car enthusiast, watching car racing, playing slots and spending time with his family.

SANBORN — Beverly J. Peete (Bement), age 79, of Sanborn, entered into rest on February 19, 2013, at her residence, while under the care of her loving family and Niagara Hospice. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on June 24, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Garnet (Parks) Bement. Beverly was a Niagara Falls High School graduate, and for many years she and her husband ran Peete's Marlboro Inn, in Sanborn. One of her greatest enjoyments was spending the quality time she had with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her devoted husband of 60 years, Robert H. Peete. They were united in marriage on December 6, 1952; a daughter, Penny Peete; five grandchildren, Lisa Marie Castro, Matthew, Lori and Steven Burns, and Cody Kowal; and three great-granddaughters, Mykenzie, Olyvia and Isabella.

Roger D. Miller, of Lockport, NY, departed from this world to Heaven on Wednesday, October 22, 2020 at Niagara Hospice after a long battle with lung cancer. Roger married Joyce Miller on April 15, 1967, who preceded him in death on June 13, 2020. He was born in Newfane, NY, on July 19, 1944, the son of the late Harold and Winnifred Miller.
Roger is a beloved child of God and was a member of Grace Bible Church in Newfane for five decades. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, serving as a machinist from 1962 to 1965. Above all else, Roger loved spending time with his family. He was an outdoorsman who greatly enjoyed hunting and camping. He also loved bowling and motorcycles.
