    Carol Barbara (Hermanson) Brett, 89, of Lewiston, NY, passed from this life on March 8, 2022. Born on December 11, 1932 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Florence (Lippert) Hermanson.  In 1956, Carol married George F. Brett.  He predeceased her on April 21, 1999. 

     
    Carol graduated from Niagara Falls High School and took several classes at Niagara University. She was a lifelong member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Niagara Falls, where she served as a worship assistant and deacon and belonged to the Altar Guild and choir.  Carol was employed at the former General Abrasives, Allstate Insurance and Niagara University as a secretary. She volunteered for 40 years for Meals-on-Wheels and sang for many years with the Lewiston Larks.  Carol also assisted with the reading program at the Francis Center.

     
    Carol is survived by her brother, Daniel Hermanson and nieces and nephews, Eric Hermanson, Jerome (Ann) Brett, Barbara (Ronald) Burns, John (Mary Ellen) Brett, David (Laura) Brett, Mary (late Donald) Wannicki and Lisa (Richard) LaBend.

     
    Visitation will be on Friday, March 11th from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007), where Carol’s funeral service will follow visitation at 12:00 p.m., with Rev. Thomas Mason officiating.  Interment in Oakland Rural Cemetery. Professional arrangements are under the care of the Goodlander family.  Share condolences and memories at GOODLANDERCARES.com
