Alfred Phillips, 78 years old,
died this morning at his home,
408 Main street, Tonawanda, after
a lingering illness. Born in
England, he had resided in Tonawanda
the past 30 years. He was
a member of Nest 110, F. O. O.
and King Court. No, 1, F. O. O.,
Buffalo. He leaves' a wife, Eliza;
two daughters, Mrs. Edwin D.
Webb and Mrs. Elmer Wurl, and
two grandchildren, all of the
Tonawandas. Rites will be held
Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock
from the late residence. The Rev.
Joseph Maffett will officiate. Interment
will be in White Chapel
Memorial Park.

(Jan.-17, 1964) at her home after
a lengthy illness.
She was a lifelong resident
of the city and a member of
Payne Avenue C h r i s t i an
Church, the Women's Fellowship
of the church and the
Loyal Circle Class.
Her h u s b a n d , Edwin D.
Webb, died in 1962.
Survivors include a son,
John A. Webb; a daughter,
Mrs. Bruce Gentz, and a sister,^
Mrs. Elmer Wurl. and
three grandchildren, all of
this city'.
Services will be conducted
at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the
Wattengel F u n e r a l Home,

WURL – Elsie Wurl, 74, of North Tonawanda, Wednesday (June 28, 1978) at Kenmore Mercy Hospital after a long illness. Born in Dunkirk, N. Y., she lived in North Tonawanda for 43 years and was a member of St. Martin’s Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband, Elmer L. Wurl; a son, Richard (Mary Ann) Wurl of Cheektowaga; a daughter, Sandra Wurl of North Tonawanda and five grandchildren.

Friends may call Thursday from 3 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at the Wattengel Funeral Home Inc., 307 Oliver St., North Tonawanda where funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m., the Rev. David B. Kaplan officiating. Burial White Chapel Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the charity og your choice.

Sandra Ann Wurl, age 78, of North Tonawanda, NY passed away on April 24, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Elsie Wurl. Sandy is survived by her brother, Richard (Barbara) Wurl; nephews and nieces; Eric (Elaina) Wurl, Ann (Troy) Durrance, Jennifer (Jonathan) Gatto, Aaron (Linda) Wurl and Gretchen (David) Sherriff. Also the treasured cousin of Carolyn Getz.
Family and friends may call Friday May 3, 2024 from 10 AM to 12 PM at the WATTENGEL FUNERAL HOME, 533 Meadow Drive in North Tonawanda, where Funeral Services will be held at 12 PM. Interment will follow in White Chapel Memorial Park.
