    J. Robert Yngve 73 of 4309
    Lewiston Rd.. a retired Carbo-
    rundum Co. office employe,
    died Tuesday (Oct. 6, 1959) at
    Memorial Hospital after a
    short illness.
    A native of Peale, Pa., Mr.
    Yngve lived in Niagara Falls
    for 55 years. He retired from
    the Carborundum Co. seven
    years ago after 45 years of
    service. Mr. Yngve also was associated
    with the Silberberg
    men's clothing store here for
    36 years, serving as a partime
    salesman until the store discontinued
    business in 1958.
    A veteran of World War I,
    Mr. Yngve s e r v e d overseas
    with the Army.
    He was a member of the
    John J. Welch Post No. 381,
    American Legion; the Carborundum
    Alumni; the 21 Club,
    and Bethany Lutheran Church,
    where he was a trustee and
    served as treasurer for the last
    17 years.
    Mr. Yngve also was member
    of the Brotherhood of Bethany
    Lutheran Church; the Ismalia
    Temple of Buffalo and the Niagara
    Falls Shrine Club; the
    Royal Arch Masons; the Grand
    Council of Royal and Select
    Masons, Temple Council No.
    79; the A. A. Scottish Rite
    N.M.I.; Niagara River Lodge
    No. 785, F&M; recorder for Ni-
    agara Commandery No. 64, and
    a member of the Buffalo Auto-
    mobile Club.
    Mr. Yngve was the husband
    of the late Mrs. Esther Yngve.
    Survivors include a daughter,
    Mrs. Richard G. Sharp, this
    city; a brother, Adolph Yngve,
    Coral Gables, Fla., and two
    sisters, Miss Edith Yngve, this
    city, and Mrs. Jack Flood, Paterson,
    N.J. Two grandchildren
    survive also.
    Funeral services will be held
    at 1 p.m. Friday at the Gridley
    Funeral Home with the Rev.
    J. E. Nelson officiating. Bur-
    ial will be in Riverdale Ceme-
    tery.
    Members of the Niagara
    River Lodge will hold memorial
    services at the funeral
    home at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
    The family said that contributions
    to the Bethany Lutheran
    Church building fund
    will be acceptable as tributes.
