    hour later from St. Mark's church on
    Washington Street, Rev. Paul Freehold

    WHEATFIELD - Melvin J. Reitsch, 86, of Wheatfield, Sunday (June 12, 2011) at home, after a lengthy Illness. Mr. Reitsch was born in North Tonawanda on February 24, 1925 to August and Christine (McNeil) Reitsch. Melvin was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and the Merchant Marines. He retired from Remington Rand and later Western Block. He was a member of the UAW, Sutherland Lodge, Stephen Sikora Post #1322. Melvin is survived by his wife of 59 years, Donna Rae (Rees) Reitsch; father of Darla Rae (Anthony) Minonno; brother of the late Vivian Eagan, Chet and Louie Reitsch and Ardith Lane; grandfather of Anthony (Marisa) and Gregory (Heather) Minonno; great-grandfather of Alexander, Chloe, Alisa, Laura and Christopher; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
