    North Tonawanda NY Evening News - 4/20/1948

    The body of Cpl. Lester E. Kline,
    son of Elroy W. and Louise Ziehm
    Kline of 819 East Robinson St.,
    who died fighting with the U. S.
    Marines on Iwo Jima March 6,
    1945, arrived this morning for reburial.
    The body was taken to the
    Hamp Funeral Home, 37 Adam
    St.
    The body will be taken to the
    Kline home, where funeral services
    will be held at 2 p. m. Thursday.
    The Rev. Robert Hein of the
    St. Peter's American Lutheran
    Church will officiate and burial
    will be in White Chapel Memorial
    Park. Military honors will be conveyed
    by Conrad F. Kania Detachment,
    Marine Corps League,
    with Commandant Harry Dorn in
    charge.
    The body w^s escorted to the
    Tonawandas from Columbus, O.,
    by Marine Sgt. Ware.
    Besides his parents Cpl. Kline is
    survived by two brothers, Elroy
    Kline Jr. and Howard Kline, and
    a sister, Mrs. William Burkholder,
    all of the Tonawandas.
