    RANSOMVILLE. Aug. 1. - Mrs
    Minnie Caroline Andrees, 63, of this
    cillage, died yesterday at the Buf-
    falo General hospital. Although
    Mrs. Andrees had been ill several
    weeks death came unexpectedly.
    She is survived by her husband,
    William Andrees; four daughters,
    Mrs. Robert Paxson and Mrs. How-
    ard Curtiss, both of Niagara Falls,
    and Mrs. Leonard Maacks and Mrs.
    Herbert Maacks, both of Ransom-
    ville; one brother, Fred Zilm, Nia-
    gara Falls, and two grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held Wed-
    nesday at 2 p.m. from the family
    home, Curtiss avenue, and at 2:30
    o'clock at St. Peter's Lutheran
    church, North Ridge. The Rev. Carl
    W. Oldach will officiate. Inter-
    ment will be at North Ridge.
    Mrs. Andrees was a member of St.
    Peter's church and the Ladies' Aux-
    iliary, Ransomville Fire company.

    Investigation of the explosion and
    fire In Ransomville yesterday afternoon,
    which took one life and caused
    property damage estimated at $50,000.
    was begun today by county and Ransomville
    authorities and Coroner W. L.
    Efraper.
    Dies of Burns
    Howard Andrees, 17 years old. Ransomville,
    terribly burned in the explosion
    and'fire, died at 8:40 last night
    in Memorial hospital. Andrees was
    employed in the garage, gasoline service
    station and auto salesrooms of Leo
    Connor. Main street and the South
    Lake road; Ransomville, where the fire
    started.
    Drum of Alcohol Exploded
    An explosion of a drum of alcohol
    stored in the' garage section of * the
    three-story brick building started the
    fire, authorities say. Andrees was
    blown through the front of the building
    by the force of the blast, his clothing
