    SANDSFIELD, MA —
    Jay G. Schneider, age 67, of Sandisfield, MA, died on Thursday, October 25, 2012, after a long illness. Born in North Tonawanda, he was the son of the late George and Margaret (nee Peterman) Schneider and was a 1964 graduate of Tonawanda High School. An Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War, he had been employed as a radio tracker for NASA at Cape Kennedy in Florida before becoming ill.
    He is survived by his two sisters, Kathleen (Sam) Giargiano and Diane (Mike) Hornblas; two nieces, Amy (Doug) Hornblas Page and Laura Giargiano; and two nephews, Aaron Hornblas and Anthony Giargiano. Also surviving are several great-nieces and nephews and cousins.
    Friends may call from 6-8 PM on Monday only at the Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., 37 Adam Street at Seymour, Tonawanda, where funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday. Friends invited. Interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. If desired, memorials to the Wounded Warriors Program are preferred by the family.
