    MIDDLEPORT - Chester F.
    Zunner, 2912 Drum Road, died
    Wednesday at the Medina Memorial
    Hospital.
    He was born Oct 14, 1919 in
    Buffalo, to the late Frank and Mary
    Zunner. He retired from Harrison's
    in March of 1985 after 20 years of
    service.
    Zunner was a veteran of World
    War II, having served with the U.S.
    Navy in Europe aboard several
    ships. He was awarded the
    American Area Campaign award,
    the European-African award,
    Middle Eastern Area award, the
    Honorable Service button, and two
    operations and engagement stars on
    the European-African and Middle
    Eastern Area Ribbon.
    Survivors include his wife, Mary
    M. Zunner; two step-daughters,
    Mrs. James (Connie) Rowley of
    Oakfield, Lynne Gould of Lockport;
    two step-sons, Robert (Kathy) Gould
    of Lockport, James Gould of Middleport;
    two brothers, Frank Zunner
    of Florida, Larry Zunner of Buffalo;
    one sister, Mary T. West of Medina;
    seven grandchildren, and several
    nieces and nephews.
    There are no calling hours. A
    Rrivate memorial service will be
    eld at the Bates, Wallace and Heath
    Funeral Home Inc., 38 State St, at
    the convenience of the family.

    James John Zunner, 47, of
    Barker, died suddenly
    yesterday at the Medina
    Memorial Hospital.
    Mr. Zunner was born in
    Buffalo, June 17,1932, the son of
    the late Frank and Mary A.
    (Plaszkiewicz) Zunner. He was
    a veteran of the Korean War
    and was employed in maintenance
    at Fisher-Price Co. of
    Medina.
    Surviving are three children,
    James E. Zunner of
    Lackawanna,, Laura L. Zunner
    of Tonawanda and Mary M.
    Zunner, Tonawanda; one
    sister, Mrs. Andrew (Mary)
    West of Medina; three
    brothers, Frank Zunner of
    Florida, Chester Zunner of
    Middleport and Larry Zunner
    of Buffalo; his fiance, Mrs.
    Barbara Becht of Medina, and
    several nieces and nephews.
    Friends may call tonight and
    Tuesday (2-4, 7-9) at the Barnes-
    Tuttle Funeral Home, 226
    Pearl St., Medina, where a
    prayer service will be held
    Wednesday at 9:30 a.m., with a
    mass of Christian burial at 10
    a.m. at St. Stephen's Roman
    Catholic Church, Middleport.
    Burial will be in Mount Olivet
    Cemetery, Kenmore.
