    Joseph Sowinski, 51, of 6919 Buffalo Ave., who
    underwent brain surgery Sept. 5 at Mount St. Mary's
    Hospital, died Friday (October 5, 1962) at the hospital.
    Mr. Sowinski, whose wife, Mildred, died on Aug.
    9, w a s found lying unconscious on the sidewalk outside of his home Sept. 2 and was admitted to St. Mary's Hos-
    pital the following day.
    He had been unconscious
    since Sept. 2.
    Mr. Sowinski was born in
    Niagara Falls
    and was gradu
    a t e d from
    Niagara Falls
    High Sch o o l.
    He a l s o attended
    H o l y
    Trinity Parochial
    School.
    He was a
    member of the
    H o l y Name
    Society of St.
    J o h n de La
    Salle Church.
    He was a former
    member of the LaSalle
    Sportsmen's Club and an ar
    dent trap-shooter.
    His wife was dead on arrival
    at St. Mary's Hospital, on Aug
    9. after being stricken at her
    home.
    Mr. Sowinski is survived by
    three sons. Dr. Richard Sowinski.
    Martinez. Calif.: Paul
    Sowinski. Pasadena. Calif .
    and Peter Sowinski, Niagara
    Falls; two daughters. Mrs.
    James (Virginia) Burns. Santa
    Monica. Calif. Miss Cynthia
    Sowinski. Niagara Fa l l s a
    brother. Dr. Francis Sowinski,
    Cleveland, Ohio: three sisters,
    ley (Celia) Tubinis. Niagara
    Falls; his mother, Mrs. Katherine
    Sowinski, and two
    grandchildren.
    The funeral will be held at
    the Chester G. Tubinis Funeral
    Home, 1646 Falls St..
    Tuesday at 8:45 a.m. and at
    9:30 a.m. at St. John de La
    Salle Roman Catholic Church.
    Burial will be in Holy Trinity
    Cemetery.
    The rosary will be recited
    at the funeral home Monday
    at 8 p.m.
