-Glenwood Demmin, 65, of 682
Fletcher St., was pronounced
dead on arrival at DeGraff
Memorial Hospital Monday,
after he was found lying on the
floor of the bathroom in his
home. An autopsy is being
performed today. Firefighters
responded to a first aid call at
the home. Authorities said Mr.
Demmin had been ill.

N.J.; his mother, Mrs.

DEMMIN - Peter E., Ed.D Age 74, of Amherst and formerly of the City of Tonawanda, May 7, 2012 at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, husband of 53 years to Ruth M. (nee Huyett) Demmin; father of Richard (Debra) of Highland Park, NJ and Jeffrey (Vikki) of Sonoma, CA; grandfather of Connor, Angelica, Lydia, Trevor and Aidan, all of Sonoma, CA; son of the late Glenwood and Genevieve (nee Rech) Demmin; brother of Joseph (Sharon) of Nokomis, FL and Timothy (Alice) of Grand Island, NY; brother in law of Nancy (David) Owens of Chesapeake, VA, John (Shirley) Huyett of Gilroy, CA and the late Joyce Shutt; also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 25 William St. (between Morgan & Broad Sts) in Tonawanda, where funeral services wil be held on Friday at 10 AM. Friends invited. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Hospice Buffalo, Inc., 225 Como Park Blvd., Cheektowaga, NY 14227. Peter was a 1955 graduate of Tonawanda High School and received his BS, MS and Ed.D from the University of Buffalo. He was employed as a teacher at Amherst Senior High School for 36 years. His love was teaching thousands of "kids" over the years.
