Following his retirement from the Postal Service he worked for Wegman’s in Amherst for 12 years. Alan was known for his sense of humor and for bringing a smile to people’s faces. Alan gave the gift of sight through Connect Life. Beloved husband of Kathleen (Astalos) Folmsbee for over 47 years. Dear father of Julie (Neil) Jaeger and Brian Folmsbee. Grandfather of Isabella Folmsbee and Libby Jaeger. Brother of David Folmsbee and the late Jeffrey Folmsbee. Brother-in-law of Pamela (Craig) Canton and David (Sheryl) Astalos. Uncle of Jason (Melissa) Moeller, and Michael (Amy) Moeller. Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home Inc., 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd. in North Tonawanda on Saturday, November 5th from 2:00 – 7:00 PM. A Memorial service will be held at the funeral home beginning at 7:00 PM. Flowers gratefully declined, if so desired memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
