Mrs. Haidee M. Hamann, 26 years
eld, wife of Herbert Hamann, died last
night at her home at No. 343 Oliver
street. She was a life-long resident
of North Tonawanda. Besides her
husband, she is survived by a daughter and son, Geraldine and Ger-
ald, seven weeks old; her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Gustav Roggow; one sister,
Mrs. Willian Albright, and four
brothers, Waldemar, George, Norman
and Earl Roggow, all of North Tonawanda.
° The funeral will be held
Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from
the late residence and half an hour
later from Salem church on Morgan
street. Rev. Andrew Hils officiating.

Mr. Roggow died Wednesday
(Feb. 12, 1964) at DeGraff
Memorial Hospital, two hours
after he was admitted- following
a heart attack.
He was a lifelong resident
of this city and a veteran of
World War I. He was a member
of Fir&t Presbyterian
Church in Tonawanda, a life
member of Tonawanda Masonic
Lodge No. 247 and a
member of Tonawandas Post
No. 264, American Legion.
He was employed for 20
years by the Durez Plastics
Corp., retiring three years
ago.
Survivors i n c l u d e his
widow, the former Olga Howard;
a son, Dean Roggow, and
three brothers, Norman, Earl
and Waldemar Roggow, all of
this city, and four grandchildren
and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be
conducted by the American
Legion post tonight at 8. The
Masonic lodge also will have
a service, at 8:30. Both services
will be at the funeral
home.

Judith Ann Gerlach
Of the Town of Wheatfield, age 81, died peacefully in the comfort of Niagara Hospice House on November 29, 2020, surrounded by her family after a lengthy illness. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Verna Trinkwalder; wife of the late Harry Gerlach; companion of the late Gary Gath; mother of James (Mary Kay), Peter (Danielle Sawyer), Christopher (Crisanne Conley), Julianne (Brian) Taylor, and Susan (Joseph) Cunningham; grandmother of Joey and Colin Gerlach, Megan and Bailey Cunningham, Camryn Taylor, and Harry Gerlach; sister of Peter Trinkwalder and the late Thomas Trinkwalder. Judy was a 1957 graduate of North Tonawanda High School and a 1961 graduate of SUNY Cortland. A school teacher in her early years, she devoted her later years to being a full time mother, grandmother, and socialite. She was active in the Queen City Jazz Society and North Tonawanda Alumni. She loved traditional New Orleans Jazz, estate sales, the Bills and Sabres, hats, pins and any reason to wear a costume. Judy’s favorite things were spending time with family, and her many treasured friends. Friends may call Thursday 4-7 PM at the WATTENGEL FUNERAL HOME, 533 Meadow Drive, N. Tonawanda. Trinkwalder, Thomas J., 75, of Fairplay, SC, formerly of North Tonawanda, passed away September 8, 2016 under the care of Vitas Hospice, Duluth, GA. Tom was the son of Francis and Verna Roggow Trinkwalder, father of Sara Trinkwalder and Richard (Kori) Trinkwalder, grandfather of Lauren and Emily Trinkwalder, brother of Judith Gerlach and Peter (Micki) Trinkwalder, also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Tom was predeceased by his former wife, Rosemary Lovett Trinkwalder, who died in 2001. He retired from FED-EX in 2008, but always returned to North Tonawanda in the summer for the annual NTHS Reunion. Tom has donated his body to the Philadelphia College of Medicine, GA Campus, to further aid in the study of Glioblastoma, Cancer of the brain, There will be a memorial service held in North Tonawanda at a later date.

PRINTBlake Howard Roggow, Sr., died at home in North Tonawanda on May 2, 2020 at age 66 after a long battle with lung disease. Son of the late Dean and Viola (nee McMillen) Roggow. Beloved Husband of Barbara A. (nee Connell) Roggow and the late Felicia M. Roggow. Loving father of Blake H. Roggow, Jr., Karen A. (Adam) Ross, Kelly J. (Andrew) Grzeskowiak, Brian M. (RaeAnne) Roggow and Kimberly B. (Scott) Duscher. Step-father of Nicholas (Addy) Stanton and the late Melissa Stanton.
Proud grandfather of Ericka, Brooke, Brandi, Taylor, Adam, Bella, Ava, Kendall, Maria, Cameron, Dean, the late Gabrielle, Abby, Emma, Megan, Anthony, Max, Isabella, Sloane, Silas, Quinn, and the late Piper. Dear brother of Bonnie Siezega, Janet (the late Terry) Bronschidle, Daniel (Lauren) Roggow. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Blake was the owner of Custom Design Decks in North Tonawanda. He also worked for various contractors in the area. He was a great guy and family man, and his mother said that he was “the best boy in town.” His smile would light up the room. He loved golf, the New York Yankees and fishing for the big ones at Chautauqua Lake.
