  1. 1.  ROHRING, Douglas H was born about 1924 in New York; died on 18 Aug 1944 in France.

    Niagara Gazette - 9/12/1944

    Corporal Douglas H. Rohrlng. 20,
    of the 320th Infantry Division, was
    killed In action In France August
    18,1944. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Rohrlng
    were notified of their son's death In
    a telegram from the War department.
    He attended Wilson high
    school and was employed in the
    Harrison Radiator division of Gen-
    eral Motors corporation, Lockport,
    before entering the army. He was
    inducted at Fort Niagara, February
    3, 1943, and received his training at
    camp Croft, South Carolina, and
    Fort Meade, Maryland. Her was pro-
    moted to corporal and was awarded
    the good conduct ribbon while
    at Fort Meade. He was sent overseas
    In July.
    He Is survived by his parents; a
    sister. Audrey Rohring, and his
    grandparents. Charles Bohnstadt
    and Mr. and Mrs. William Rohrlng.
