ILION - Robert E. Sorenson. 56. of
Box 600 Avery Rd.. passed away October
27.1984 in Mohawk Valley General
Hospital.
He was born April 20.1928 in Frankfort,
son of Martin and Adeline Elthorpe
Sorenson. He was married to the
former Audrey Slocum. November 9,
1949 in Ilion. He was educated in Ilion
schools and was a lineman for the New-
York Telephone Company, retiring this
year. He was a veteran of the U.S.
Coast Guards. He was a member of the
Ilion Lodge 591F & AM, the Ilion Moose
Lodge 1010, and the Telephone Pioneers.
Mr. Sorenson was a member of
St. Augustine's Episcopal Church.
He is survived by his mother Adeline
of Ilion; his wife. Audrey; two sons and
a daughter-in-law, Robert and Jackie
Sorenson of Ilion and Thomas Sorenson
of Texas; one daughter. Mrs. Michael
(Deborah) Eramo of Ilion; two brothers.
John of Mohawk and James of
Ilion; two grandchildren, Kelly & Michael
Eramo.
Services will be held from the Whiter-
Hendrix Funeral Home at 1 p.m. Tuesday
with the Rev. George B. Greene
officiating. Interment in Armory Hill
Cemetery. Calling hours are 2-4 and 7-9.
