    Notes:

    Lockport Union Sun& Journal, October 21, 2014
Jacob (Jake) Alan Stahl passed away unexpectedly at the age of 15, on Friday, October 17, 2014. Jake was born in Medina, NY on November 4, 1998 and was currently in 10th grade at Medina Central School, where he recently played Lacrosse. Jake is survived by his beloved parents, James and Melinda (Brauen) Stahl, and brother Benjamin, as well as a very special uncle, Les Quackenbush. He also leaves behind his paternal grandparents, Charles (Junie) and Cindy Stahl, and Patricia Stahl, along with many aunts, uncles and cousins. Jake was predeceased by his maternal grandmother June (Quackenbush) Brauen. "Spud" (as many knew him by) loved the outdoors and had a tremendous passion for hunting and trap shooting, excelling on the winter trap shoot league at Wolcottsville Sportsman's Club. Jake's dream for the future was to become an Auto Technician. His smile, sense of humor, and compassion for others was felt by everyone who knew and loved him. Jake is leaving a legacy of goodness behind, and even though he left us all too soon, Jacob Stahl made a difference in our lives and in our hearts where he will remain forever. Family and friends received at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State St., Middleport, NY on Thursday from 1 PM to 4 PM and 6 PM to 9 PM.. Funeral services will be held in Jake's memory on Friday at 11:00 AM at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Wolcottsville, NY with the Rev. Craig Rhodenizer officiating.
