    Toenniessen, a lifelong resident of
    this community, died yesterday af-
    ternoon at the family home in the
    Braily road, after a long period
    of ill health.
    Mrs. Toenniessen was born in
    Wilson, a daughter of the late
    William and Minnie Kruger, pioneer
    settlers She was a member
    of the North Ridge Lutheran church
    and in former years was active
    in its organizations.

    her husband. Fred Toenniessen.

    Funeral services will be held from
    the family home Thursday afternoon
    a'. 2 o'clock and at St Peters
    Lutheran church at North Ridge,
    N Y a' 2 30. The Rev. Carl
    Oldach will officiate Interment
    will be in North Ridge cemetery.

    She had been hospitalized
    for the last nine days.
    In addition to her husband,
    survivors include a son, John
    F. Kagels, Newfane, and three
    grandchildren; two sisters,
    Mrs. William Sterner, Batavia,
    and Mrs. Maurice Upton, Wilson;
    a brother, Raymond
    Toenniessen, Orlando, Fla.
    Friends may call, starting
    Friday at the Rutland:Corwin
    Funeral Home, with the family
    being present from 2 to 4
    and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will
    be held at the funeral home at
    2 p.m. Sunday, Rev. Harry D.
    Hawthorne of First English
    Lutheran Church officiating.
    Burial will be in Corwin
    Cemetery.

    alter a short illness.
    Mr. Toenniessen had been
    employed for 23 years at Harrison
    Radiator Division, General
    Motors Corp.
    He is survived by his widow,
    Olive Toenniessen, two sons,
    Carl Toenniessen, USMC, sta-
    tioned in Hawaii, and Gene
    Toenniessen, USX, stationed
    in Norfolk, Va.; two daughters,
    Mrs. Kenneth Silvernail,
    of Alabama, N.Y. and Mrs.
    Gerald Grimes, Lockport; a
    brother Raymond Toenniessen,
    of Orlando, Fla.; three
    sisters, Mrs. Lloyd Kagels. of
    Newfane, Mrs. William Sterner,
    Batavia and Mrs. Morris

    Services will be held Friday
    at 2 p.m. at Rutland-Corwin
    Funeral Home, Newfane. Burial
    will be in Cold Springs
    Cemetery.

    OCALA, FL — Donald Toenniessen, age 89, of Ocala, FL, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2013. He was born in Wilson, NY on February 14, 1924. Donald served in the US Army during WWII. He met and married his beloved wife, Helen Toenniessen, to whom he was married for over 50 years. Donald owned and operated "Don's Grocery" in Royalton Center, NY, before retiring to Florida. Donald was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Ocala. In New York he was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Gasport.

    He is survived by his children, Karen (Gary) Gardner of Gasport, NY, Robert (Karen) Schultz of Bradenton, FL, Peter (Michelle) Toenniessen of Albion, NY, Molly McIntyre of Sebastian, FL, Richard (Primrose) Schultz of Ocala, FL, and Kenneth (Tara) Toenniessen of Lockport, NY. Donald is also survived by his nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Toenniessen; children, Ronald C. Schultz, PhD, Raymond Toenniessen, John Toenniessen and Randall Schultz.

    A visitation will be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala, FL on Monday, July 29, 2013, from 5-7 PM. A funeral service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 4001 NE 25th Ave., Ocala, FL on Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at 10 AM. Burial will take place at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL on Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at 12:30 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Marion County, PO Box 4860, Ocala, FL 34478.
