    Notes:

    Penny Ann Stitt, age 80 of Niagara Falls, NY was called to her heavenly home on September 20, 2022, while at the Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence, Lewiston, NY. Born in North Tonawanda, NY on January 1, 1942; daughter of the late John and Lois (Smith) Hallows. A graduate of North Tonawanda High School, she was employed as a Loan Officer with Niagara Choice Credit Union. Penny was a life long member of Grace Lutheran Church in Niagara Falls, where she served as the bookkeeper. She enjoyed gardening, reading, spending time at the cabin in Friendship, NY, and the quality of time spent with her family and grandchildren. Survivors include her loving husband, George Stitt. They were married January 25, 1964; three children, Karen Thompson, Mark (Kim) Stitt and Paul (Helena) Stitt; two sisters, Judy (Jim) Oubre and Barb (Ken) Schmid; sister in law, Rose Hallows; grandchildren, Mark (Ali), April (Ken) Anderson, Kieran (Joanna), Jessica, Andy Caitlin (Adam), Stephanie and Elizabeth; great-grandchildren, Camden, Kylie, Avery, Jackson, Hank, George, Oliver, Lyla, Thomas, Austin, and expected twin boys; many nieces, nephews and cousins.Preceded in death by her parent's, John Hallows and Lois McNulty; her stepfather, Claire McNulty; Pete Hallows, Paul Stitt Jr. and Sarah Oubre.Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday (September 23) at 11:30 a.m. in DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield, with Pastor Benjamin Bahr, officiating. Interment will follow in Acacia Park Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence, for their years of dedicated service.

    Paul Stitt, Jr. Died unexpectedly on June 5, 2020 in his home. He was born on February 20, 1990 in
    Niagara Falls, New York. Paul is survived by his two children, Thomas and Lyla, his wife Jessica
    (Romanek) Stitt and his parents Paul and Helena (Hamby) Stitt.
    Paul graduated from Amherst Central High School and then attended Erie Community College. Paul
    played football at Amherst and was a lifelong fan of the New England Patriots much to the ire of his
    Buffalo Bills loving family. Paul loved playing Pokemon with his 5 year old daughter and he named his
    son Thomas Patrick after, you guessed it, Tom Brady. Paul also leaves behind beloved Husky Maxwell.
    Paul worked at variouss local businesses as a meat cutter and butcher and was most recently working at
    Sam’s Club in Cheektowaga where he was known to blast Taylor Swift to get up for games.
    In addition to his wife, parents and children, Paul is survived by his mother-in-law Michelle Wik
    (Dave), brother-in-law Joseph, sister-in-law’s Andee, Rachel and Julia, father-in-law Rich
    Romanek (Liz), his grandparents Penny and George Stitt, Mona (late William Edward) Hamby and his
    sister Caitlin Stitt (Timothy) Ormond. He is also survived by several aunts and uncles: Karen Thompson,
    Marcie Poland, Melissa Hamby, Mark (Kim) Stitt, Jill (late Jason) Hamby and Will Hamby, as well as many
    beloved cousins that he considered his first and most cherished friends. Paul had many friends that
    considered him a brother and his memory will live in them always.
    Friends may call at the Lane Funeral Home, Inc., 8622 Buffalo Avenue on Tuesday, June, 9, 2020 from 5-8 PM. (10 at a time allowed in building please).  Burial will be private.
