    Dolores D. (nee Davey) Mere, 86, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed from this life on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 in Newfane Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Newfane, NY. Born on March 14, 1928 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Dorothy (Middleton) Davey. On July 19, 1974, she married Martin G. Mere. He predeceased her on July 4, 1998.

    Mrs. Mere was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY. Dolores attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. For over 20 years, she was employed as a cashier for the former Saraceni Drug Store in Niagara Falls, NY. Mrs. Mere was a longtime member of Niagara Presbyterian Church in the Town of Niagara and was very active in many social organizations.

    Mrs. Mere is survived by one son, Robert (Julie) Adams of Lockport, NY; two grandsons, Robert (Kelly) Adams of Lockport, NY and David Adams of the Town of Niagara, NY; three great-grandchildren, Eric, David and Megan and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, Dolores was predeceased by one brother, Robert (Lois of Lewiston, NY) Davey and one sister, Olive (late Wayne) Gage.

    Visitation, funeral services and interment in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery will all be held privately with her family. If desired, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Presbyterian Church, 3712 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14305.     Craig R. Gage, 71, of Lockport, NY, passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2021 after a brief illness. Born on July 9, 1949 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Wayne and Olive (nee Davey) Gage.  

    Mr. Gage graduated from the former Trott Vocational High School.  Craig worked as an auto mechanic and eventually a service manager at area car dealerships.  Ultimately, he became an owner of Mike Barney Nissan Inc., an Amherst auto dealership. Mr. Gage was an avid golfer, enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends.

    Mr. Gage is survived by his wife of 49 years, Carol; a son, Craig (Susan) Gage, Jr.; a daughter, Kelli (Douglas) Ward; five grandchildren, Gavin, Addison, Sophia, Owen and Nathan; two sisters, Kathy (Robert) Stott and Pamela Scalfani; a brother, Jeffrey (Kim) Gage and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Gage.  

    The family will be present on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where Craig’s funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 10th at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Cheryl Brown officiating. Friends invited.  A private interment will be held at Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery in Lewiston with his family.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
